I have been with Rice Heating since December 2017. My old furnace quit working. It was a couple of days after Christmas and the out side temp was 38. Calvin Rice came out that day and a couple of days had a new York gas furnace installed. It is working great. I have a tec check it out every year. It is very clean and running great. Rice Heating team is top notch service company.
Calvin even came to Waldport. My mom could not get any service. The next week she had a electric furnace installed and working great.

They were very quick to schedule me and the tech was super knowledgable and professional. They did a great job and took care of everything with ease. Only reason it’s not a 5 star is the price. It’s a bit pricy to have your heater and a/c serviced. I will pay extra for good work and professionalism though.

Office staff and field technician communicated really well. All work was done in the window it was scheduled and upon completion Calvin was happy to answer any questions I had. Excellent customer service.

I first discovered how good Rice Heating and AC was two years ago when I needed a gas line moved in our kitchen. They responded right away and were quick to help! They were also very kind and considerate. When we wanted to get a new AC unit and heat pump put in, we knew who we wanted to have do it because of that positive experience. Calvin, the owner, came out himself and was very helpful in explaining all of our options. His team was then extremely accommodating when we needed to time their work with a larger landscaping project. The crew doing the install was professional and respectful. We felt very well taken care of and are glad we have found a HVAC company we can trust.

Last week we were having issues with our HVAC and I called to make an appointment. Appointments were 3 days out but Jasmine called me each day, trying to get someone earlier- such great customer service!! When Jason the technician arrived he was right on time, kind, professional and fixed the issue same day!! Thank you!!

I had called several different contractors to try to resolve an inspection issue with my fireplace insert. Each one of them looked at it and then looked at me like I was crazy and said there was nothing wrong. I contacted Rice and they looked at the picture and the technician immediately said I know exactly what’s wrong and offer to come out at 4:30 in the afternoon to fix it the same day. You can’t ask for any better service than that.

Our air conditioner failed on a 90+ degree day (conveniently on a Friday night). It was making horrible screeching noises and was getting hot. We have used Rice Heating for previous services and have always been promptly and professionally taken care of, so they were our first call.

We left a voicemail on Saturday hoping to get a call back on Monday morning. Mr. Rice called on Sunday and showed up to our home and had us running in about an hour. We had feared the worst and an expensive outcome. We trust Rice Heating to be honest and help us keep our HVAC running smoothly.

This is not the first time Rice Heating/AC has gone above and beyond. They have made similar short turnaround fixes for some of our elderly family members.

I had Rices out a month ago to replace my furnace, hot water tank and air conditioner. They did a fantastic job, the new equipment works perfectly. They are reasonably priced and the owner and his employees were careful and respectful on my property. They have checked in with me to make sure all was good. I would recommend them to my family and friends!

After using many other companies, I found Rice and have been doing business with them for years. They do all my maintenance and repairs, and have also installed new equipment in my house. All the techs are professional and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and concerns.

First day was without heat and had it restored early in the afternoon. I had expected the lead time to be longer and please to have a technician show up the same day.

Igniter for my gas furnace had burnt out and was fortunate that he had a replacement on the truck. Beyond the repair he did a system test of the furnace and found everything within spec. :-)

I have used Rice Heating for many years for my primary residence in Corvallis and a rental home in Albany. They do a fall heating check up and a spring air conditioning check on both homes. We've had a few issues, startup capacitor blew on our AC unit, drain line froze up on the rental due to a blocked drain line (renter issue), some other issue on our furnace. In any case, the maintenance people are knowledgeable and professional, fix the issues and provide a clear explanation of what happened and often provide suggestions to prevent recurrence. Jason has been coming out the last couple years and he's great. I really trust his knowledge and expertise. My dogs love him too. Highly recommended.

Rice heating has been my go to HVAC company for a while. I do not know the personally but they are very professional.The reason I use them is because I trust them. I have several properties and often they replace a small part in minutes instead of wanting me to replace the entire unit. The are very good at analyzing the problems and try to get there the same day. I highly recommend them.

Shout out to Rice Heating & Air Conditioning for quick and stellar service in getting our gas furnace up and running again! We returned from a vacation on Friday and our furnace wouldn’t ignite. We were able to wait until Monday morning, and Rice’s repairman fixed the problem and also did an inspection and servicing for a couple of other issues. All for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be proactively contacting Rice about a new furnace, because, although our furnace has been very trustworthy, it’s getting to the age where little things might start failing. And a new furnace will be more energy efficient, too! Thanks again Rice!

I am very happy with the quick and professional service in replacing the inducer fan on my furnace. Rice Heating is my goto

The service technician, Vince, was very professional & knowledgeable. He serviced our unit, changed the filters and listened patiently while I tried to explain the new "weird noise". Vince was able to identify that our metal intake cover was the culprit, then took the time to adjust the gaps in each opening to eliminate the noise. We are also very pleased with customer service and follow up from all the staff we have worked with at Rice from bid to installation & maintenance!
