I am still shocked at the amazing service I received from Rice Heating! My heat went out and I called first thing on a Friday morning about my issue, expecting I might get an appointment a few weeks out. Less than an hour later, someone was here checking out the system! I needed a new thermostat which the first technician didn’t have with him, but he ensured it would be taken care of right away. I said that it could wait until the following week, but Calvin reassured me it would be done the same day and genuinely cared about my family going into a weekend without heat. A few hours later, another technician came and promptly changed out the thermostat! Everything about this experience was great! The office staff I spoke with, the technicians who were kind and prompt, and the quick and easy billing process- it was all wonderful! I will be utilizing Rice Heating for my future heating and cooling needs!

I used Rice Heating in 2021 to have my father's gas furnace replaced. Mr. Rice was so nice, punctual and efficient. The pricing was fair and the service clean and courteous. Fast forward to 2025, and after being off for the summer, the furnace stopped working when needed in October. Turned out the condensate pump needed to be replaced. The repair was under warranty, as was another expensive part that Mr. Rice just happened to hear when replacing the pump. I got a call from him and he said he'd heard the sound and preemptively ordered the correct part, again under warranty, saving us many hundreds of dollars. I can't recommend this business more. Stellar people who stand behind the products they sell and install.

Rice did a deep cleaning of our heat pump and we couldn't be happier with the results!!! We limped along for a years with the heat pump hardly working-- sometimes it wouldn't come on, occasionally it wouldn't shut off. We were supplementing with space heaters. Rice was quick and thorough and relatively inexpensive. (Another place we called charges almost double what Rice charges.)
Tonight my husband asked me if the heat pump had worked this well when it was first installed. All I know is it works great now. Thank you for making these cold winter days so much nicer.

I had a York heat pump installed in December 2019 when my old system gave up on Christmas Day! All that went well from the estimate through the installation I received excellent customer service.
Recently, as I was getting prepared to sell my home, I had a home inspection October 1, 2025 and found that there were some “issues” in the crawl space related to the drip lines previously installed. Rice Heating sent their guys out to crawl under the house, assess and fix an unhooked duct pipe, then seal the tiny cracks where varmints were entering. They even straightened the vapor barrier when they were under there!
Owner Calvin is always gracious, helpful, and empathetic. Todd and Darien arrived promptly and did the work efficiently with smiles. Angelica kept everyone organized and communicated with me. Jasmine sent follow up photos of the work for my buyer to see.

I've used Rice for many years. They're always reliable, honest, timely, and accurate in their work. My older ductless system recently started making noise, and they came up with a plan to fix it rather than replacing it. I highly recommend them.

I have used Rice Heating for many years. I have them do a fall heating check up and a spring air conditioning check. This is the best service provider I have ever used for heating and a/c. The twice yearly services have saved me lots of repair costs over the years and my heat and a/c always is working. No emergencies. The maintenance people are knowledgeable and professional. Very nice also. I don’t know what I would do without Rice Heating.

I’ve been using Rices Heating for 15 years. They are the best in the Willamette Valley. Just recently the heater went out on a Saturday they responded quickly ordered a part and I was a happy customer.

Everyone at Rice Heating and Air Conditioning is very high caliber. Whether it's speaking with someone on the phone, or interacting with a Technician I was always treated with patience, respect and positive energy. The installation of my entire system was done in a timely manner and with the highest quality. They have also followed up my installation by asking for feedback to make sure everything is working fine and that I am completely satisfied. They have also been back out to perform the 6 month service and verify that everything is still operating correctly. I am very happy with the equipment and the service I have received throughout the entire process.

We had a split heat pump system installed. Arrived on time and completed work as described in the bid. Friendly technician and very helpful with explanation of work and review of system and maintenance.

We had the HVAC system serviced by Valentin Ostroukhov. Valentin arrived within the time we agreed on. he was pleasant and professional. Valentin explained what he was going to do then went to work. It was a good experience, and we will use Hendrix Heating any HVAC work in the Future.

We reached out to Hendrix for a quote on replacing the insulated duct work in our home and paid for the privilege. They said they'd reach out in about a week.

That was a month ago at this point and they provided no quote and no update on when we would get what we PAID FOR

In this timeframe we called another HVAC company and they provided us with a quote at no cost to us.

Do not use Hendrix unless you're looking for someone to take advantage of you like they did to us.

I want to thank Hendrix for doing such a great job on our HVAC upgrade. Sean, Adam, Seth, James, Jarrad were so great to work with. Professional, knowledgeable, hardworking with obvious quality workmanship. It was a big investment to replace a 20 year old system but so comforting to be in their hands and know I was getting an awesome system/upgrade. Thanks Hendrix.

Mitch was so good to work with! He kept me informed about what my equipment issue was and how he could fix it. My customers he had to work around were impressed at how well he treated me and commented to me about what a good job he did for me.

We could not be more impressed and pleased with the Hendrix team that came to the house to completely remove and replace our heating and cooling system. Sadly, our 31 year old system came to the end of its run. Will and crew moved quickly and efficiently, at times actually running to and from the service vehicles, for parts and tools.
