As a tenant in one of their projects I have felt for the past 5 plus months I have been held hostage in my home to their whims and piece meal way of completing the project. I would strongly encourage any management company who has any consideration for their tenants to look for another company to use. Here I sit 5 plus months later and Summit still has not completed this simple project and I am still picking up the hazardous materials they left behind. Every promise from Summit management to address issue has ended up feeling like lip service.

Summit has completed mitigation and rebuild projects for our community. We have always found them to be easy to work with from the office personnel to the team that they have on-site working with us daily through the projects. They communicate thoroughly, professionally, and complete the projects timely, as promised.

I recently had a flooding issue and reached out to this company for help. Ryan, the guy who came out, was quick to respond and did an excellent job in handling the situation. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient in his work. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of their services. Thank you for your great work, Ryan and the team!

Ryan from summit has been working at my property on multiple different units. He has been doing amazing. With all the different hiccups that keep coming up, he is quick to respond. We’re very appreciative to have him here.

Honestly I’ve reached my final straw after giving so much grace and so many chances with summit.

I cannot stress enough or even begin to explain how severely, horrifically awful the 10 months I have had dealing with this company have been, so I’m going to simplify it with bullet points rather than a story.

    1) Took 3 try’s of scheduling to actually get someone to show up to take a look at our home; 2 no call-no shows with no response for hours or days after, and then a last minute reschedule.
    2) Getting any sort of communication or updates is like pulling teeth. Plan to follow up 5, 6, 7+ times over the course of weeks or months if you ever want updates or a half-done project to be completed on your property.
    3) you will be lied to about the status of your project and its completion timeline, repeatedly.
    4) apparently they treat mold but they just spray bleach on it which is not a treatment for mold.
    5) their staff sprayed a large quantity of clothes in my closet with bleach and ruined them. It’s been three weeks of chasing down reimbursement for our damaged property. We finally got a response today and were told to come pick up a check at their office. Google says office is open 24/7 so I guessed that must really mean 9-5? I get there at 4:30 and it’s closed. If you’re a business that does not operate normal business hours, communicate it to your customers?? Especially when they’re 3 weeks without clothing that they need and are planning to come by the office.
    6) I was told the giant holes in my ceiling from drywall repair would be put back together in a week. It has been 3 and we have yet to schedule the completion. This is in part due to my HOA not approving the budget yet, however I had to email in 4 times to be told that we are waiting for budget approval. Another communication issue.
    7) some of the guys who work here come in my house smelling like weed and picking meth scabs off their face while conversing with my partner and I…. I have little eyes at home watching.

A couple of the guys who work here seem nice enough and I think they’re doing what they can, but seem under resourced and if I had to guess based on online behavior and the culture/behavior of the company, this is a top down issue. Major need for policy/standard/expectation overhaul and some employee turnover if this has any potential for becoming a company that I’d recommend, but for now, I’d encourage anyone and everyone to keep far, far away.

I just wanted to let you know how beautiful my project turned out. Your team, Carlin, Mica and Johnny were the best. In spite of some hiccups, tile delayed and some crazy things in my condo, they persevered and came through! They were all professional, friendly and communicative as is always the case with Summit personnel. Amazing how every day they would always clean up , especially Johnny, I swear my house was always left cleaner than when he arrived 😊 David Kelley did a great job on the recommendation of the tile, fixtures and fireplace. David, I will have to send you a pic! And thank you David H. for empowering your team to be agile!

I have never posted a review of a company before, but this team is amazing. I wanted to make sure if others are faced with needing a restoration company, rest assured you will be in good hands. We experienced water damage from a leak in the condominium roof. We had never experienced water damage before, so didn’t have a clue what was needed. From the first call, to water remediation, to drywall repair, to painting, to the final cleanup each person involved was knowledgeable, talented, courteous, and friendly. I highly recommend Summit Reconstruction & Restoration.

We used Summit to demo/reconstruct damage we had due to water in our house. Colin was the project lead and did an awesome job of managing our reconstruction. We are thankful for Summit and that they took great care of our project.

I am a Property Manager of a building located in Downtown Vancouver Washington with 160 units. I have worked with Summit for multiple emergency situations and I cannot speak highly enough about their customer service and communication. Summit goes above and beyond to make sure that every little detail is taken care of and handled correctly. I have had multiple people come out to make sure everything is going as planned. I have not once had to reach out for an update, they keep all staff informed of what is going on right now and what will be happening next. They handle the job flawlessly from start to finish. I have been a property manager for 10 years and Dave & Jordan are the best in their field of work. If you are needing a project done right the first time I would highly recommend Summit for the job.

We couldn't be happier with the job that Summit did. It was a new build (we're the first owners) when we purchased the home, and now it's back to exactly the condition it was in when we first moved in. Some things Summit did even better than the builder! What was most surprising for us was the speed at which everything got done. We've had many experiences with other contractors taking their time and going past deadlines. Everything was completed even sooner than expected. I can't recommend Summit highly enough!

I can't thank Summit Reconstruction & Restoration team enough for coming out so quickly to help us start getting our lives back to normal again after this latest winter storm. Two gentlemen came to our house quickly after we called, over icy streets and fallen trees, to survey the damage to our home and remove carpets and padding soiled from a burst pipe. They were very professional, courteous and understanding. This level of service has been a huge relief to my family after what so many of us went through during this difficult time. We are truly grateful to Cole and the Summit team and recommend them without hesitation.

We worked with Summit a few years ago after a roof leak. There were parts that were great and we had regular communication from Alicia. However, the work fell short in a lot of ways. The drywall had to be redone multiple times and is still uneven (photo 1). Touch up paint was purchased in a slightly different color (I understand that color matching is tricky and completely get that) but the finish didn’t come even close to matching (photo 2). We paid extra (outside of insurance) to have gaps filled under frames after flooring change. The carpenter talked to us about carefully matching and glueing in pieces but instead it was a mix of loose wood that never even stayed in (photo 3).

I waited a while to write this since I never write negative reviews (only positive) but overall it was a harder experience and disappointing overall.

Summit was amazing! We had a washing machine hose come loose a couple weeks back creating a leak that went unnoticed till this last weekend. Nathan and his team were quick to show up and start getting things dried out. I really appreciated his communication and explanation of the process to restore our basement after things get dried out. Nathan and his team were friendly and worked quickly. Really happy with the process so far.

I highly recommend Summit Construction and Restoration. Besides my satisfaction with the quality of the work regarding replacing flooring, carpentry work, plumbing and finishing work, the company was excellent with customer service. The employees were prompt in communication and followed through with questions in a polite manner. Employees showed up on time and left with the workplace cleaned up. Also, excellent sub contractors.

Although it was 20 years ago when they did our roof, I still feel I should share this. We have had condensation issues for 20 years. We just got a new roof and the installers confirmed they left Layers of underlayment and it was not good.

We were impressed with JBC from the beginning to the end of our roofing tear off and installation. Very professional, respectful workers and the cleanup was perfect.
    Thank you!!

I live in a neighborhood where the houses are packed together and parking is tight, which complicates most major home improvement projects. The roofing crew easily adapted to the challenges and did a great job and was very respectful of the neighbors 👍.

Had cheap shake replaced with a 50 yr composite last year. First winter and no problems. Our roof is complex, steep with many valleys. Prep, installation & cleanup coulden't have been better. Great job.

It was a few years back when I got the roof done by this company. I needed a copy of the receipt so I contacted JBC to get one emailed to me. Apparently Google is listening to my phone calls, thanks for that you intrusive %^|~<*'s. Anyway I would never have reviewed this but since I sent it to me I will add this one humorous thing. The woman that works there is continuously grouchy. She was unpleasant on virtually every exchange I had getting the roof done. When I called this time the first call didn't quite go through and I had to call back. When I called back just a moment later I got an exasperated wwhaat? She did email me the receipt very quickly but if you do work with this company just let this one's attitude roll off your back like water on a duck. I wouldn't not use them in the future because of her but it's pretty weird.
