My husband and I had a great experience with Western States. Stephan was very friendly and accommodating through the process, and his pricing was very reasonable. His team was efficient and did a beautiful job on our tree removal project and clean up afterward. Thank you Stephan!

I called a local tree service in hopes that I would find a good quote western states did more than just give me a great quote. Stephan showed up with his team and they knocked out everything I asked for, and some. Which is hard to find.
I'm very happy with the outcome of there work, but I'm especially happy with the cleanup. As weird as it is to say, I was expecting to have to pick up a small branch or 2 but not a single 1. I definitely recommend Western States🖒👍

Sent note in bill that he gave up other work to cut our tree down. Adding that it created a hardship on him to do our work. That makes no sense at all. Sounds like he has trouble managing his business. We hired someone else for our next job. He was cheaper, faster, and far more professional and did a top quality job. Would never contact Stefan again.

Great service. Arrived on time, took out 10 or more small trees, chipped them all, spread the chopped wood over an area about a 1/2 an acre, limbed out a half dozen other tall Douglas firs, and then blew off the driveway and deck areas that had tree debris on them! Worked 8 hours and left the place clean and neat as if they hadn't been here!! We have had this outfit here several times in the past and wouldn't hire any others. The man who owns and runs this company is a certified arborist, not just someone who chops trees down. So, he is certified in forest management and has helped us keep our trees healthy, in part, by removing the sick ones. He and his crew are friendly and easy to work with. His rates are quite fair and reasonable.

Stephan and his crews blend efficiency, safety and customer service in ways that are hard to find in this market. When you call this company. The owner calls you back. The owner also scales your trees and perform technical branch and tree removal. He maintains his arborist license to give customers confidence in his ability to access hazards and follow codes specific to an area/county. Western States Arboriculture can handle anything residential or commercial. These guys rock.

I want to thank the Western States Arboriculture team for the professional job or removing a very large tree from my front yard. The tree was very close to my home and the team removed the tree with no damage to my home, property, fence or neighbor's property. This is the second project that Western did for me and I couldn't be more pleased. Great Service! I love it when someone actually picks up the phone and calls you instead of texting or sending an email. Great Customer Service!!! I'd have these guys back anytime.

Stephan and his team worked in my yard for 5.5 hrs and very skillfully pruned a large deciduous overgrown box elder tree, a Japanese maple and a crabapple trees ( both overgrown) , area bushes and an overgrown Japanese maple bush and several rhododendrons. The before and after appearance is amazing! I highly recommend Western States to anyone who cares about preserving nature and maintaining trees in a way that helps the tree grow properly. Also they were very reasonably priced

I am super impressed with Stephan and his team (Scott & Randy)! I got several bids and his was by far the lowest cost *he simply categorized the costs allowing me to choose what parts I wanted them to do and which parts I would take care of. I can't imagine a team doing a better job honestly!
He is obviously an experienced and very skilled arborist and was pleasant to do business with. He was very careful to not damage anything in the area from a delicate fence right next to our huge douglas fir he was taking out of my front yard to several smaller plants I preferred not to have damaged. I expected smashed plants. They were careful to avoid the sprinkler system and utilities as well. They showed up around 9:00 in the morning and completed the project including stump grinding by around 5pm. They did a really good job cleaning up the area and blowing the wood chips and dust off of my roof, my neighbor's roof o&o our yards... Stephen's attention to safety and details or remarkable. After they left I had so many neighbors coming by complimenting the team telling me if they had any trees that needed attention they would definitely hire this team. They blew my expectations out of the water. The team was friendly and fun to watch. They drew quite a crowd from all over my neighborhood and entertained them without trying 😊. Thank you guys!

We have a 1/2 acre lot with lots of trees and large shrubs. Discovered Western States about 14 years ago and haven't used anyone else since. If you want your trees and shrubs to be healthy and look natural, you want to call Stephan and his crew. They do a great job! He just finished working on my willow tree, and it looks so much better!

Stephan is one of the best arborists in Portland. Very honest and doesn’t try to sell you on work that’s not needed. Highly recommend!
