We are really pleased with the consistent quality service we've received from DCR over the past 7 years. They handle all our property needs from regular lawn maintenance to seasonal cleanups, and the results are always great.

Special thanks to Steve, who has been fantastic to work with. He's reliable, professional, and makes sure everything is done right. The crew does excellent work with lawn mowing, tree pruning, and keeping our property looking sharp throughout the year.

DCR Paving & Masonry of Metuchen NJ took advantage of my 76 yr old mother and our family. We contracted DCR Paving & Masonary to provide quality work as advertised. The request for landscaping and to create a sidewalk and create a driveway. The quality of work was terrible. When we addressed our concerns about the terrible work completed the only resolve was to charge my family additional cost to correct the errors and the lack of concern regarding their quality of work. We did not experience the close relationship they state they provide and the highest standard of quality services on each of the projects that were somewhat completed. They claim to be committed to achieving full customer satisfaction. We paid a very large substantial amount of money to have decent landscaping and sidewalk and a decent driveway. DCR Paving & Masonary to have over three decade of services you were not forth coming regarding the seasonal months that may required additional items when laying down grass seeds for example STRAW. You failed to provide the required amount of asphalt to complete our driveway in the professional manner and high quality you claim to stand by. DCR PAVING & MASONARY took our money and half delivered quality work.

If I could give 10 stars I would. DCR has been one of the most professional and reliable  companies I have ever hired to do work at any of my homes over the last 30 years.
From the moment Doug came to my house to give me an estimate, and until the day his team finished, the communication was exceptional. Any time I called him and had a question, he either answered the phone or called me back the same day.His foreman Julio was great, and his team arrived everyday they were supposed to on time @ 7:45 am or sooner. You could set your watch to their arrival time.As a business owner of 5 gyms with over 150 employees, I've never had employees work as hard as I've seen his employees work. They never fooled around and consistently worked together to get the day's job done.I can sincerely tell you that you may find a cheaper company, but you will never find a higher quality of work and professionalism.

The ground around my driveway has a lot of moisture and I suspected I had a drainage problem. I saw that Guarco Construction offered drainage solutions as part of their driveway paving services. When Carl came to make an estimate, the first thing he said is that I have a drainage problem based on the wavyness of the driveway surface and all the ridges and ruts. Carl quoted an engineered drainage solution which he has been using for several years along with repaving the driveway. Based on the paving quotes I had received from other paving contractors without a drainage solution, the Guarco quote seemed reasonable, so I hired Guarco Construction. The old pavement was removed, the drainage solution was installed under the new driveway base as specified, and the driveway repaving was done with care and attention to detail. I am very pleased with the timeliness of this job from start to finish and the quality of the results.

Carl and his crew were great, start to finish....detail oriented, competitive, thorough, and were a pleasure to deal with. They removed and paved our driveway and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Highly recommend them and will use them for future projects. Thanks Carl!!

Carl and his crew are great to work with. They re-paved our 40 year old driveway in West Suffield, and did a great job. He is very responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

I am so glad I found this contractor. Contracted to remove old driveway and install new one adding a turnaround area. Very prompt at coming to look over the project, measure it out and give me a very fair quote. Thoroughly explained what needed to be done and how they would do it. Payed special attention to drainage of water off the driveway. A couple weeks later they came and removed old Driveway, added and packed down base material. Great job. Base material was just what it should have been and they pounded it down so it was solid. Said it would need to rest for a couple weeks before paving and I could use it. Came back and smoothed out settled spots, rolled out again and paved it. Took care with the transition where driveway meets Highway. Again, great job and I would definitely hire again.

Guarco Driveway was easy to reach at all time. His price was beyond reasonable. The care and quality of work was outstanding. I would recommend Guarco to my family, friends, and neighbors. He is an awesome man.

I called for an estimate to replace a 35 year old asphalt driveway in May 2022. Carl came by a few days later. He made a sketch of what we needed, estimated the area, calculated the cost and gave me a quote on the spot. I approved the quote and he put me into his schedule. Two weeks later his crew removed the old driveway, graded the base, and added stone for improved grading. A few days later the crew returned for the paving, but prior to the paving they added additional stone to perfect the grading. It was A+ job and the cost was fair.

Yesterday Carl and his crew removed our 50 year old driveway surface and replaced it with better sub-surface and asphalt. I could see that the crew was well trained because they worked together with little direction from Carl. The outcome was just what you promised, and just what I expected. I am pleased. Thank you, Carl, for a job well done.

Carl Guarco gave us his estimate to remove and replace our 50-year-old asphalt driveway; it is a steep and long drive with a wide parking plaza in front of the garage, so we knew this would be an expensive undertaking. Carl clearly explained various aspects of the project as he was taking measurements, demonstrating what work needed to be done, where, and -most importantly- why. He also identified a trouble spot in the plaza and expressed his concern about what would be the likely cause and the most likely steps to remedy the problem.

Carl and his team did a marvelous job removing the old surface, compacting the substrate, adding crushed stone, and installing the new asphalt driveway. He completed each task when he said he would, for the prices he had quoted. He stands behind the quality of his work; he said to call him should any future issues arise, even if they weren’t directly related to the drive. This has been a rainy summer, so I can state that after two tropical storms and about a dozen thunderstorms, the new driveway has excellent drainage and is much safer to navigate in difficult weather. I heartily recommend Carl Guarco and his team for your asphalt needs.

It is hard to find someone who you can really trust, respect, and count on to deliver a perfect product- on price and on time. My impression is that Carl's integrity guides him - and he has little concern about who you are are and where you live. He was bidding on my neighbor's drive way and I asked him to look at mine. His price was less than all the others. The man and his team are beasts and work to perfection. He has 40 years experience. Like any real professional - he knows his trade. I am not biased here, He was a perfect stranger and provided me with a top notch drive way. The preparation was all the work. (He came three times). The paving, the easy part. If I ever had any issues - he will be back - without pause. A very strong recommendation here. Hard to find someone like this these days.
