Postponed 1st appt. for estimate; never showed up for rescheduled appt. Then took almost 2 weeks and several phone calls to get the estimate. The icing was the over $4000 quoted for the job; my husband spent under $48 for the parts and it didn't take him long to install them. Kinda tells you they didn't want the job. Inreliable.

So, a year later after Mechanical Monster worked on the heating of a house my wife and I watch over, we went over to the house and noticed we smelled a burning smell. Called an electrician (not monster, because it was a horrible experience dealing with them), and they noticed that when Monster installed the heater, they cut a bunch of corners and basically piggy backed the power to the heater to something else, which resulted in a FIRE. They compared to a Prius trying to tow a boat. The fire department had to come out here. Insurance won't pay for it because, guess what, Monster didn't pull any permits. So, we have to have the whole thing redone, and get the damage repaired. WORST COMPANY EVER. Also, don't respond with a "are you sure you have the right company". It was you, and I'll gladly prove it. Very lucky the owners are billionaires, so they won't pursue any charges for the faulty work done, but it's awesome (sarcasm) seeing my wife absolutely stressed over this. I'm begging anyone reading this, go a different route if you need work done. No idea why they have all these 5 star reviews.

Awesome people to work with - always friendly, courteous, professional and they stick with it until the problem is solved. Hats off to Jeff and his entire team and Jeanette in the office was so awesome as well.

I needed a replacement furnace and air conditioning unit. The first visit was from a representative who clearly understood and explained the issues with my 20 year old systems and who did not oversell the solution, which was the replacement systems. For the replacement work, the guys came and did the work with the minimum of fuss and disruption. It wasn't the cheapest solution but it was well worth paying for the expertise, lack of b.s., and quality replacement work. Highly recommended!

The crew did a fantastic job replacing some faulty ducts in my home to greatly improve our air quality. They explained what was happening, got the work done promptly and left the area cleaner than it was before! Highly recommended!

Mechanical Monster came to us in an emergency situation and stayed late into the night to make our heater work until they could replace it. They then installed a completely. Ew furnace and central air for us and we love our system! The staff were friendly, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure to follow up after the work was complete. Highly recommend!

In August 2018 I was in a jam. A/C went out in 90 degree heat on a rental in Philly. They answered the phone at 9:00 PM, and were out the next day by the time the tenants got home from work. They didn't try to tell me I needed a new system. They fixed it for a very reasonable price, when many companies would try to sell you a whole new system. I've used them ever since. They even explain to you the more technical aspects of what they are doing. They are fair, they perform high quality work, and operate a very professional business, you can't ask for anything else.

I have been using Jeff, Jason, and their team since opening my catering & cafe business back in October. They have been instrumental in the opening and operation of my business. I have a lot of refrigeration and freezers here and the guys keep me up and running. Whether it be routine maintenance or a last minute emergency, you can count on them to come through. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without them!

Matt was little late but went to work and had our gas fireplace working like new in in less than 2 hours. Disassembled the whole unit and completely cleaned it then reassembled the whole thing. Highly recommend this company for this type of services. Jim C.

I’ve been using their services for years, usually for minor repairs and annual maintenance. They don’t price gouge and they will work until the job is done correctly. They just finished work on my system and the price had to change because the work ended up being more extensive than they realized when they gave the initial estimate (it was converting from a steam boiler to a hot water boiler), but they were willing to work with me on a payment plan to get my heat on and it’s working great now.

Called from home advisor bc My heater wasn’t turning on. They came out same day, had the parts it needed and everything worked great. I actually have them coming out again to install a new age wireless thermostat. Very happy with them would recommend.

Called a few companies just to see if they would repair this old 90's commercial unit since not a lot of companies would even touch it. I explained to them that I already had a tech come out and give me an estimate. I called just to get some information to see if they could fill the unit with some refrigerant and how much it would cost to do so. They gave me a price over the phone and I told them I would talk it over with the owner and call them back. They quickly called my receptionist back and told her they would give me a deal for 140$ instead of 200$ if I would go with them. I was planning on calling them back the next day since I knew I wanted to speak with a few more companies / technicians before going with them. The technician just shows up the next day without any conformation or a call beforehand. Unforchaently I wasn't there to be able to say anything so he went ahead and starting diagnosing something that I already knew was wrong.

Be careful of this company they just want your money. All small businesses are trying to make a living including ours but, that's not the way to make a living was very unprofessional. Hopefully someone else will read the reviews and not make the same mistake.
