We had high hopes at my office for Jan Pro. Their staff is very nice and easy to contact when needed. Unfortunately, we needed to contact them on a regular basis due to very poor service.

Some of the problems were simple, like cleaning the floor, not leaving hair and dust balls, moving chairs to clean, or just missing things that are routine to the contract.

They will come out and fix what was not cleaned properly, but you may have to do that every time or every other time, depending on your service agreement. It is completely inconsiderate to the client's time and trust that you can never be certain that a specific cleaning routine is being done properly. I can assure you it is not a professional circumstance when you feel as though you have to investigate every single time they clean.

And beware of the contract that they require you to sign. It essentially traps you into never having a way to get out of it, even though you may be getting poor service practically every time they come. Some mornings I spent more time having to call them or go around the office to take pictures to show them things that were missed or inadequately cleaned than I did getting my work done.

You will sign a contract that says if you get poor service you need to submit it in writing via certified letter and then give them the opportunity to fix it. So, what you may not realize is that you will spend years complaining every week about poor service, they'll come out and fix it, the slate cleans, and you start all over again, every....single....time. There is no way out.

I would not recommend signing a contract with a company that is more concerned with trapping you in than they are making sure you are a happy customer.

UPDATE: In response to the message below from Jan-Pro's owner, I can assure anyone who reads this recommendation, posting a review on Google was not the first method that was used to try to get better service from the company. Dozens of calls, emails were made directly to Jan-Pro, as well as visits and revisits to the office and changing of staff a few times before resorting to posting on Google.

We came to an agreement with Jan-Pro that we would end our contract together due to the poor service that we received. In order to get approval to end the contract early, we had to agree to pay the last two weeks in advance. We were surprised and disappointed that we paid in good faith, but we did not receive the service that was agreed upon.

After everything we have been through and given months to resolve the issue, my recommendation stands that I would not use Jan-Pro for cleaning services.

Our Robinson office manager has been extremely pleased with the services rendered by the Jan-Pro team. They are experienced, trust-worthy and reliable. A significant improvement over our previous cleaning service providers and fairest pricing we’ve found.

In all my years using a cleaning service The Cleaning Authority is the most consistent, reliable service I have ever used. They also provide great customer service if I ever need to reschedule or get an extra cleaning. I have been using them for over 12 years.

The lovely ladies did a nice job. They were so quiet, while they worked, which is great if you are working from home or the kids are remotely learning. Would recommend their service.

Terry and Deb did the first (ugh!) cleaning of a house that had been badly neglected. Whenever they return for the bi-weekly cleaning even the dog is happy to see them. They keep us civilized and fit for company. No corners are cut.
