Reviews of local pros in Carnegie, Pennsylvania

Built me a 490 sq ft paver patio, rebuilt retaining walls and a 10 foot tall stone fireplace. Guys were great, quality fantastic and they made sure they stayed until it was done right. Showcased to family and friends. Highly recommend!

Professionals...showed up when they said they would. They were perfectionists and had an great attention to detail. Definitely artists at their craft. I recommend him to anyone looking to have work done! Thanks Mike!

I can't speak higher praise of this company. Mike and his team took my overgrown jungles and turned it into so much more than I thought possible. This was my first experience with landscaping of any kind. Mike was patient and answered all of my questions and kept me informed every step of the way during my project. I would recommend this company to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you Mike for all of your hard work! I can't wait to show it off!

Being in the Real Estate business finding contractors who do they work they say they’ll do when the day they’ll do it can be a frustrating and futile task. So when Mike and his crew showed up every day on time and did high quality professional work for the price that was quoted it was a new and wonderful experience. They went above and beyond on the job and showed great attention to detail. I can’t imagine hiring anybody else ever.

We've used Schellhaas Landscaping for 2 retaining wall projects. The quality of their work is excellent and the crews are professional. We will continue to use Schellhaas Landscaping in the future when I replace our driveway.

Mike and his crew just completed a retaining wall in our backyard for us. His quote was very reasonable for the project and his communication was very good. The wall turned out great. His crew was very professional. The job was completed exactly according to his quote.

We couldn’t be happier with how our backyard and patio project turned out. Mike and his team were complete professionals and awesome to work with. From start to finish, I could always get in touch with
mike. His communication was tremendous throughout the entire process. We would definitely recommend him to anyone.

It was very easy to work with Schellhaas Landscaping. Mike helped me design a great backyard that worked within the existing limitations of the space and fit within my budget. I am very happy with their work and highly recommend them.

Great company, great work! Very reliable. They have done beautiful retaining walls and outdoor living spaces to name a few.

I can't say enough good things about Schellhaas Landscape Construction. Our paver patio and water feature was an 860 square foot project. In 4 weeks they had transformed our yard into a beautiful entertainment center. We were so happy with their work and ease of working relationships with us. All I can say is that when Mike and his men leave on the last day you are ready for a party. No detail was left undone! So happy!

I had this company tear down and rebuild a retaining wall along my drive way. I also asked them to convert my one car drive way into two. The owner, Mike is very nice and easy to work with. He is reliable. The workers are friendly. And anything that needed to be adjusted or changed was not done until we communicated and decided together. Great company. Great work! And would definitely recommend.

Mike and his team replaced a couple of cracked concrete steps and 5 wooden steps in the front of our house. Everything was done well in a timely fashion and the team of guys he had working with him were all very proffesional. I always recommend Schellhaas Landscape Construction if you need some outdoor work done!

Mike was wonderful to work with through the entire process! He worked with my Wife and I until we were happy with the design and stayed in constant contact through the entire project. We're very happy and will be looking to Mike and Schellhaas Landscape again in the future!

Mike Schellhaas and his men did an outstanding job replacing our front steps. They were all gentlemen, professional, and real craftsmen. The job was successfully completed on time and the cost was fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Mike for your concrete work and construction projects.

Mike and his crew did a great job on replacing my 20+ year old wooden retaining wall. They matched the stone used to the retaining wall in the front which was great. It involved a lot of labor intensive work to tear out the old wall my hand (it is in the backyard of my townhouse so no easy way to bring equipment in) and hauling away the debris. The crew was quiet and worked hard over two days to replace the wall and put river rock along the back of my house. Mike even made sure to have a drain in the wall with a drain cover over it so water will not damage anything. It looks so much better and I appreciate the quick response, friendliness and professional nature of the entire crew. I would definitely recommend Schellhaas Landscape Construction for any landscaping project.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire Schellhaas team! Mike, the owner, came out for the estimate and thoroughly explained a detailed plan with options for me for my complicated retaining wall. The crew was punctual, professional, and so kind. I always have extreme stress when trusting a company with a large investment but I could not be happier!

I was really impressed with the quality of the work that Mike, Brad and the guys did on my retaining wall. Despite the weather being somewhat uncooperative the guys worked right through and I couldn’t be happier. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Mike and his crew did an excellent job on my retaining walls, it was a big project and they completed it timely and efficiently. They addressed any questions or concerns I had, worked well with my neighbors who needed to to use the same area to get in and out of their driveway and were all very friendly and pleasant. I would definetly recommend Schellhaas Landscaping to anyone based on my wonderful experience with them.

Schellhaas Landscape Construction did a great job for us in 2019 on an Ohio stone retaining wall, so when we wanted to add outdoor living space to our backyard, we gave Mike a call. He more than lived up to our expectations. This time, we gave him some pictures, talked about our ideas, and let him go to town. SLC built us a paver patio, a beautiful, massive grill island with a granite countertop, and a natural gas fireplace. Mike and his crew are professionals in every sense. In addition to being highly skilled, they are friendly, respectful, and responsive. Mike is easy to work with. He listens to ideas, researches answers to questions, and doesn't hesitate to consult with other professionals. He made our decisions about colors, textures, and materials easy because he has a great eye for envisioning how everything coordinates in the end. Overall, we think Schellhaas Landscape Construction provides outstanding results at a reasonable, competitive price.

From day 1 of receiving a quote to the final day of installation, Mike has been the best contractor we have worked with to date! He truly cares about your project as if it is his own house he is working at! We had a patio installed with steps that lead down to the driveway and it turned out amazing! Him and his crew arrived every single day on time, worked in the rain and even some snow flurries (in May!). He took us through step by step of the process and helped us with choosing material. They cleaned up great at the end of each day and Tommy was so sweet with our 5 year old curious son. They are reliable and trustworthy and I wouldnt of chosen anyone else! His quote came back fair in price and extremely pleasant to work with! Do yourself a favor and hire Mike and his team for your next project! You wont regret it!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Schellhaas Landscape and Construction on our recent back patio project! From the onset I was very impressed with Mike’s attention to detail and responsiveness to my questions via email. He gave us a great quote on the price and he and his crew were efficient, thorough and thoughtful of our time and investment. We were extremely impressed with their design and craftsmanship with our stamped concrete patio and the result exceeded expectations. It would be a pleasure to work with them on future projects we have, highly recommended!
