From the initial phone call with Kate to having the guys come out to clean the carpets, the experience was wonderful. The Customer Service was fantastic. The guys that performed the cleaning were knowledgeable and explained all that I needed to know. I am more than pleased with the service and will absolutely use Cahill's again.

Used Cahill's Carpet today for the first time to clean all of the carpet in my house. They are absolutely the best. Andrew and James made my carpet look like brand new. Andrew and James were able to get rid of stains that were in the carpet for many years and the last two carpet cleaners I had couldn't get rid of them. Both Andrew and James gave me tips on how to keep the carpet clean and get rid of stains. I will never use anyone else. These guys are the BEST. If you use them, you will definitely be satisfied. And their prices are right.

I’d like to echo what the reviewer about a year ago said: don’t use this company for pet smells. I’m sure they’re great for standard stuff, but go elsewhere if you had an animal in your space.

I paid $200 to have them clean a carpeted basement where we’d had a rescue dog. I wanted to save the hassle of researching and doing it myself, and Cahill had good reviews. They came, were friendly and professional, then left.

And then it smelled worse — and still does more than a month later. What had been a faint smell is now very powerful.

I spoke with the owner who told me a dehumidifier would solve my problems and there was nothing more they could do. They could come back out and clean the rug 100 times, he said, but because of the dog and because it was a basement, it wouldn’t make a difference. When I said I would’ve appreciated being told this was a risk beforehand, he essentially said it happens to every 1 in 10 customers and they can’t do anything about it.

So I did what I should’ve done before coughing up almost $200. I called around and asked other companies how they handle carpet cleaning in homes with pets. Their answer was drastically different: they bring in black lights to spot urine, then treat those individual spots with specific enzyme cleaners, sometimes multiple times until the smell is gone. And, one of them reassured me, they definitely wouldn’t leave me with a carpet that smells worse than before and wash their hands of it.

I also looked into the dehumidifier question and could find no evidence online that this would have an effect, as the smell is likely in the carpet, not the air.

Because I’ve already dropped so much money on this, I’m now doing it myself, although the cost of renting a rug cleaner, a powerful enzyme cleaner, and a black light will still be $100+, and I also expect this will take me the better part of a day — exactly what I was hoping to avoid when I paid them.

Edit 10/3/24: Mr Cahill, I have corrected my review to reflect the $200, not $300, I paid you. $300 is roughly the total I will be out once I've finished this, and possibly closer to $600 if I bring in another carpet cleaner whose owners are courteous, upfront, knowledgeable, and interested in talking through options for the pet stains.

Thank you for offering to come treat it again. It's good to know a negative review is the best way to get your interest. This is not an option you offered -- you actually declined this option when I asked -- when we spoke personally.

Finally, I am delighted to hear your rescue dogs are so well trained. To the many, many people out there who are doing the best they can with challenging dogs, I hope you find a competent carpet cleaner.

We were referred to Cahill's by Jeff of Adams Carpets when we very recently purchased some new carpets in our home. Cahill's did a fantastic job on my area rugs. I had 2 large and 1 smaller Oriental type rugs cleaned. Cahill's is fabulous to work with. I had used another company in the past and wasn't happy with them because they returned the rugs looking as if they weren't cleaned (dirt and debris still left in them). So I am happy to find Cahill's and will use them from now on. The men who pick up the rugs and deliver them moved my furniture and laid the rugs back in place for me and they were very pleasant and professional to me. Also the woman who answers the phone is fabulous and so pleasant to deal with. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Cahill carpet recently came out and did all of our carpets and some upholstery in home. Also got all the ducts cleaned out. The whole team from owner to staff were great people and very thorough in cleaning and explaining what they did. Did everything in 5 hours and very satisfied.
