Justin is the man! He came to my house promptly to inspect some dimming issues and helped me diagnose what the problem was. In the end it was the electric company's responsibility but he totally could have charged me for the fix or even his time, but did not. Super kind, honest and reliable contractors are hard to come by these days so it is good to know small businesses like this are out there. Highly recommend!

Justin was the best electrician I have ever had. Not only was he prompt in fixing the issue, but when it later turned out that the issue was more complex than originally thought, he returned the same day and fixed the entire circuit. If that wasn't enough, he was kind the whole way through, while also explaining all of his processes and what they would do. He managed to do an amazing job, while also providing some really interesting information for the future. Extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

We were having an issue with our wiring that was pretty complex, rooms were loosing power but the breaker wasn't being triggered. I called Justin and he was on site the very next day. He was not only familiar with the layout of our house he actually knew how the original wiring was done in the 1960’s. Within 30 minutes he pinpointed possible areas that needed to be looked at and fixed the issue. I hands down recommend Justin for all your electrical needs…you’d be in good hands!

2023 - Repeat Customer. Had a light out and bathroom fuse kept popping. An illegal splice behind drywall was the culprit. Justin diagnosed and fixed in an hour. Justin is very responsive and always finds a way to fit you into his schedule. If it’s an emergency, he is even more flexible. He’s professional and respectful to my tenants while completing his work. I will continue to use Justin as my electrician and would highly recommend his services.

2022 - I called Justin with a semi emergency as my home is being rented by tenants. The dryer was not working and needed a new power chord along with a new outlet receptacle installed. Justin fit me into his schedule seamlessly on the same day, for a fair price. My tenants were happy, I was happy, and I would certainly recommend his services. I was not on site but he sent pictures and kept me notified the entire way through. Thanks Justin!

Justin was very responsive. He was extremely easy to talk to and he asked all the right questions to understand my electrical issue. He diagnosed and fixed my problem in a few short hours. He was very honest with me and I would highly recommend him to others for all their electrical needs.

As a new homeowner, easily the best decision I’ve made so far has been hiring Justin. This guy has gone so far out of his way to help me out, working with me to tackle all the little surprises that come with owning an older South Philly home. It's such a huge relief to have someone you can trust to do an awesome job while truly being in your corner. I’m sure there are other great electricians in Philly, but if they aren’t Justin Tavella then what’s even the point. He’s understandably a busy guy so get on his schedule early!

Our business had a power outage and I was calling around a bunch of different companies to get someone to come out.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to use this company because we’re a commercial space but Justin got back to me fast and even provided extra referrals to get it fixed pronto. The whole time he was out of town as well by the way. And even called me back afterwards to make sure it was good.

I don’t know about yall, but that’s professionalism and reliability you don't see very often.

Justin did an excellent job installing my chandlier. He was honest and reasonable. He even put the crystals on for me. Not every day you can find someone who is reliable and you can trust. Will be using him again if ever needed.

I hired Mr. Tavella to replace the light fixtures (new ones pictured) in my windows. He was communicative and did a great job on the replacement, and quickly.
I had also previously hired him to install smart switches and combination fans+light fixtures in my apartment, also to excellent results. I would recommend him for your electrical needs.

Tavella Electric does phenomenal work and incredibly fair and professional to deal with. As a first time home owner not knowing who to trust when it comes to services, they answered any question I had. I trust them with any and all my electric service needs.

I recently hired Justin for some work in my rowhome, and he exceeded all expectations. We needed some GFCIs updated and dedicated appliance lines added to our kitchen, and he completed the work quickly, to a high standard, and at a reasonable price. Justin is extremely communicative and responsive and ensures that you are familiar and comfortable with the job. Justin went out of his way to point out a few other items he would suggest looking into, without being pushy, and even stopped by later to ensure the appliance delivery team correctly installed the appliances. I'll definitely come back to Justin for future electrical needs.

Justin is a standup honest guy who helped me figure out how my lighting works, and I would definitely call him in the future for any electrical needs

Cannot recommend Justin highly enough! Extremely extremely professional, very responsive, and genuinely just a nice guy. I know for a fact that he will take the extra time to do the right thing and not cut corners. If all the people I hired to fix things in my house were like him, life as a homeowner would be so much easier. I will 100% be calling Justin for any future electric needs, and you should too!

The pictures don’t lie! We are so pleased with Justin’s work today. Even though he doesn’t usually service our area he did everything possible to get the job done for us. He was easy to work with and very considerate of our timing. The work is beautiful, and we are pleased with his service. Very professional and honest when it came to the repairs. Justin and his coworker Dom were absolutely fantastic. He was exceptionally easy to communicate with and was very accommodating and flexible with scheduling.

We needed to add a switch and wiring for a new pendant light over the dining room table. Justin and Dom did very meticulous and clean work in a timely fashion. They were considerate while in our home and cleaned up after themselves. The fixture looks stunning just as we imagined.

They even came back to install smart dimmers I purchased free of charge.

Today Justin did an excellent job installing an emporia electric car charger in my garage. He showed up on time and got everything done in a few hours. He communicated about his process so I would understand what he was doing and why. He listened to me so he knew what I was hoping to accomplish. He went above and beyond. Rather than just plug it into the breaker any which way, he ran the charger through an additional safety switch to make sure I could cut it off quickly in an emergency. Upon seeing that some of the wires in the breaker were inferior, he replaced them with better ones. He put labels in my circuit breaker so I would actually know which switches do what. (He did not ask for more money to do any of these things and so basically took a pay cut for the sake of doing a good job.). When he was all done, everything looked sharp and like a professional put it in there (because he is). Most importantly, the charger worked like it was supposed to. This is the second time I’ve worked with him. Last time he did a great job installing some lighting in the apartment. If I need an electrician again I would definitely want to work with him.
