They arrived right at the scheduled time and completed an Unload Only job in under 2 hours. They were courteous, professional, and finished very quickly. I’d definitely use Helping Hands again, especially with Taron and his crew.

List all of the things that could go wrong with a simple move and that’s my review. My wife booked and confirmed moving help (our rental truck) from a storage facility to our new home. Despite making it clear that the work would start at the storage unit, the movers showed up at the house (and were late). Since they apparently didn’t have a car, they came via Uber which meant they needed to catch another Uber to the storage unit 25 minutes away. Seriously. They arrived way late. The movers were nice guys but had no idea how to load a truck. It was hot. They were tired. One of the movers became physically ill and didn’t bring water so I ran to the facility office and picked up some water bottles for them. They managed to tip over the bottom half of a China hutch damaging it. Because of the haphazard loading we still have stuff in the unit. All we needed was loading and unloading of furniture and other bulky items. We didn’t get it.

I just added photos. The first is how the truck was loaded. The second is damage to an oak table top because the movers put a marble table with metal legs on top with no padding.

We've used Helping Hands twice, once for loading and once for unloading the uhaul truck. We chose them for their good price and were very happy with the service. Both pairs of workers were friendly, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend them.

This is my second time using helping hands. The first time I moved from one house to another and they dropped off a refrigerator to my parents house on the way. That service was outstanding the team on time, professional and efficient! Today I used them to move t my daughter back to her college campus. This time service was also outstanding and fast. Scheduling has been effortlessly and straightforward. Helping hands is my go-to for movers. Definitely will use them again!

Absolutely superb movers. Very knowledgeable and considerate of our belongings regardless of the condition of the items. They planned and arranged a load of furniture and crates from a 15 foot UHaul truck into a 10x15 storage locker. These guys know their stuff. Very squared away and righteous dudes. Hire them. "Always Forward"!

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff was nice but lack professionalism. My items were damaged during transit. I reserved time slot for disassembly and assembling at drop off location. They were supposed to have the right tools for all jobs, which they did not. So, it took them longer to disassemble and made excuses for it. So, because of the time they took on the furniture and it being only three guys instead of five like boss said. The time went over and my furniture was not assembled. One guy got aggressive with me asking for more money. I said I will speak with the boss tomorrow morning. He seem as if he was going to hit me. He was angry, I had my phone in hand to call the police. No police was called they left. This was an experience I will never forget and beware of this company. I would not recommend.

The team was prompt courteous and efficient. The price was fair. The team unloaded a 26 ft truck in just a few hours, was worried coming from out of state that they would not show and the reality was. They showed up and did great - so thankful!

I called appx 1 week in advance to book Helping Hands Movers to assist in a move that was less than 5 miles: from Manayunk to Germantown, PA. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath level of work. I have moved across country 3 times and hired movers 5 times before.

No one was rude, but the service was terrible in every aspect except my initial quote. Here’s the timeline of events-

5/24: movers arrive within 15 minutes of scheduled window (nice!)

-90 mins later the moving truck had not arrived and all my furniture is sitting in my parking lot
-I scheduled a 3 person crew for at least 3 hours and 3 people showed up, but over my 3ish hours, I witnessed over 12 (!!!) people funnel in and out. Only one person remained the same over my move and he was never acting as the “leader”
Note: Moving is so personal and honestly this felt like a betrayal of trust to have so many people up in my business, coming and going
-On the way to my new place (less then 5 miles away) the guys with the truck took a wrong turn… no matter, I was following them and got into the leading position to lead our train and they still kept going after we agreed that we would travel together. This cost at least 30 mins but was just straight unprofessional and lacks attention to detail
-Now for the aftermath (6/23): damaged furniture including a ripped off credenza leg pair - you don’t drag furniture with legs and any experienced mover knows this. Period.

-1 month of “negotiations” to rectify the damage and cost ($600+ for the move and tips to ALL the staff for the move which I noted earlier were many), which included a missing multitool - Leatherman Fuse, and loose hardware all over. Scratched Eames lounge chair, etc. I admit I didn’t prepare/pack as well as I could have but for only 5 miles, “experienced” movers could have avoided almost all the damage

Im now stuck holding the bag and looking at damaged loved furniture.

PS this company asked me to create a new money exchange platform (CashApp which I don’t already have) just to accommodate them. Mind you, I paid with PayPal so ???? I also offered Venmo and Zelle as options.

I’m still waiting on a response after two days of asking for my itemized list of damage assessment.

These guys are great - good pricing, timely service, and friendly people. They moved exactly what needed to be moved exactly where it needed to go, and even assembled a piece of furniture for us by request, which was a bonus I wasn’t expecting! Exactly what we needed plus more. Would hire again without hesitation 👍

Great experience with Helping Hands. We live in a south Philly row home and had to switch bedrooms/office from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor. I thought it would take hours and hours, they knocked it out in less than 90 minutes. There was effective communication throughout and the guys who came were great to work with. I’d hire them again in a second. Highly recommend.

I had three movers show up on time, motivated and completely professional to help me move contents out of a storage facility into a UHaul truck. Fantastic job lasting 2 hours, they could have stayed for 4 hours and were awesome. Can’t beat their price working with UHaul. Would use them again anytime!

I would give zero stars if I could. We hired Helping hands movers for just 2 hours to help unload the large items including out couches. They arrived onetime, however when trying to move the couches they removed the blankets we had on them to protect them and completely damaged the couch. Every corner is torn from them dragging the couches edges on the concrete. We live on a first floor apartment and the logistics of moving the couches were not complicated. I am also 6 months pregnant and our house leaked of weed when they left. They carried their vapes with them and were vaping on the job. They were incredibly dismissive and rude when I tried to bring up my concerns with the damaged couches and incredibly unprofessional. I would not hire again!

I hired two helpers to move my biggest furniture pieces. They arrived in an acceptable timeframe and were quick, efficient and professional. They were very engaging and friendly while working hard and did not damage and of my furniture or either property. I would definitely use Helping Hands again!

These guys were wonderful. They were very pleasant and worked hard. They even helped hooking some of my stuff up. There were supposed to be 4 movers for 3 hours but one guy couldn't come. However, there were 3 movers that stayed for 4 hours and it worked well. Only negative was my couch was a beast to move and it ended up denting part of my door and there were a few dings on my stairs. Overall, I'd recommended them!

John and kevin were awesome. They showed up on time and were ready to work. They respected the fact that I asked them to take shoes off as my carpet is of a light color. They got all the items to one location and packed the truck like a dream. Nothing shifted while driving 100 plus miles. Also the truck was so easy to unload. Thanks for your hard work John and Kevin.

I had one of the worst experiences with this moving company. They didn’t even show up on time, which threw my entire day off schedule. When they finally arrived, they were careless with my belongings items were handled roughly, stacked on top of each other in ways that any professional mover should know would cause damage. Sure enough, several pieces ended up scratched, dented, or broken.

To make matters worse, the owner is incredibly narcissistic and condescending. Instead of listening to my concerns or taking responsibility, they deflected blame and acted like I was the problem. There was zero accountability for the damage done or the unprofessional behavior.

If you value your time, money, and belongings, look elsewhere. This company is unprofessional from start to finish.

I had a fantastic experience with this moving company! The crew — a group of young, hardworking professionals — were kind, efficient, and professional from start to finish.

We were moving in the middle of an ice storm, which easily could have caused delays or added stress. Instead, they showed up right on time, stayed positive, and worked carefully and efficiently despite the harsh weather conditions. The storm didn’t affect their service at all.

They handled all of my belongings with great care, making sure everything was properly wrapped and protected. Not a single item was damaged, and their attention to detail really stood out.

What impressed me most was their patience and attitude. Moving is already stressful, and the weather could have made it overwhelming, but they remained calm, friendly, and accommodating the entire time. They never rushed me and were consistently respectful and courteous.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, careful, and professional movers. They truly made a difficult day feel smooth and stress-free!

I signed a contract with cenova for sub contracting 3 properties through them... I have had a good experience so far always helpful when I call with questions, and paid right around the 30 days they claimed they would overall I'm having a good experience working with them and hope to do more business with them in the furture. I really can't see why people have posted bad reviews I have had no problems I mainly deal with Bill and he's been very helpful overall
