Well, I don't know about their work, or honesty really, but they are definitely lacking integrity and professionalism. Started off well, answered text almost immediately. Asked for some more information, and then just stopped responding. A simple "We won't be able to help you" would have been nice.

We had an incredibly complex problem with our kitchen, and the work they did was absolutely great. They'll definitely be my first call the next time I need any major renovations.

They admitted to doing worse work because it was faster and cheaper, which was extremely evident. Apparently they took the job as a favor to the contractor who sub contacted to them, and they phoned it in because they felt it was under bid. So we were affected by their politics and it felt super dishonest.

I was looking forward to having work done. The quoted price was an amazing value. Unfortunately, there was inappropriate and unprofessional behavior on the part of my assigned contractor. I wanted to continue with the service because of price but they never showed up when they said. I waited several weeks. I wish I could have had the 5 star experience others had but it didn't work out that way for me.

Had a not so great first experience with the original quote but Kellee reached out to me directly to get feedback and correct the situation. I am impressed that she took the time to make it right and valued what I had to say. Immediately after, someone else came out to give me some proper insight into the project and offer to update the quote. It sounds like it will probably be a 4-5 day job.. :)

Homer was sent the day after I called to schedule the work. We had about 5-6 small jobs - some that were somewhat complicated - involving several water faucets, a ceiling fan that was not able to receive input from the remote control, a metal framed window and a metal framed door that would not lock properly. All were completed in 2 hours, except for 1 that required us to buy a new faucet assembly and 1 (a metal framed window that would close 100%) that could not be fixed due to the building settling slightly. Homer analyzed the problem and came up with the cause. Ultimately the solution was not possible because to file off the metal parts that were catching would have most certainly ruined the locking mechanism. Luckily, we are on the 3rd floor and it closes sufficiently to keep out the weather. I will be calling them again soon to replace the corroded faucet assembly on the utility tub after I have time to buy it from Lowe's. So, I will certainly hire them again. Excellent service!

Got their info thru Angi list. Called and explained the problem I was having with a kitchen ceiling. The contractor asked for my address & photos which I sent the next day. I just wanted a quote but I was gonna hire them regardless of the price. 1 day passed then second day, third day pass as well. No response or called from them. I finally text the guy and asked if they were able to make it to my home for the quote and all he said was “no”.

Completed a bathroom drywall job for a fair price and the work was well done. Will definitely be reaching out for additional work in the future. I appreciated the quick response and txt communication.

EDIT: The longer time passes, the less thrilled I am. I have had two separate contractors come through since for specific needs and they have been absolutely furious on my behalf for the quality left behind. I'm kind of sickened that I paid so much for so little. "Honest" indeed.

Four for craftsmanship, three for everything else. I went with Honest Renovators after reading a lot of five star reviews, but I think that did them a disservice setting my expectations too high. The quality of the work is good-- solid not perfect. I wasn't thrilled they ran a month and some behind schedule, but it is what it is. They were up against the same challenges everyone has now for price of materials, production delays, availability of labor, all the joys of the COVID era. Costs were on the high end: hopefully that means they're paying the guys a living wage. Where I was distinctly underwhelmed was materials sourcing and organization. Delays and waste could have been avoided. I felt like their purchasing agent and it was coming straight from my wallet into their blackhole. I think these guys are much better off with small projects of limited scopes where they can understand and keep track of them. Use them wisely and they'll do good work.

Overall great experience. Needed 3 fans installed and had them installed immediately with no problems. Kayla is great to work with and does a fantastic job making sure you get everything you need. In these times it's tough to find a trustworthy and reliable handyman, but it looks like we finally found one.
