I was on vacation in Italy when I noticed an issue with my system on the Enphase app. I called Enphase and they could not fix it remotely, so they suggested that I call my installer Greenrack. Even though it was a Sunday, they answered. Took my name and address and had the problem fixed the next day. All of this while I was in Europe! Thank you!

From Sales to Engineering to the Install Crew and even the Owner, the entire team has been professional, responsive, and flexible. I was able to get a larger system with the exact solar panels and micro-inverters I wanted for less of a price than the competition. Truly a top notch company that is trying to do solar the right way by being upfront and honest. It's not often that top quality and low price go together, but Green Rack is certainly the exception.

We recently had a solar system installed by Green Rack Contracting! Not only did the installers arrive ON TIME, they communicated with us (as needed) throughout the day and walked us through the system upon completion. Mike, Jake, Chris and Dalton were outstanding in work ethic and professionalism. We waited to post this review until all inspectors completed checking the solar system installation. One inspector stated that ours was the easiest inspection he has had on a solar system install - complete and "clean"! Fantastic work, GUYS!

They were professional and patient, walking me through the process and helping me to understand everything they were doing so there were no surprises or questions. Alex and crew did a great job with our solar panel installation. They were able to adjust our original panel layout design to get more panels on our main section of roof and increase our overall output by another 3%. As of Apr 1, 2025 my solar system is up and running. All completed in a very professional manner by the Green Rack Solar team from Columbus, Ohio.
After all of my research and discussions with multiple installers I decided to go with the Green Rack Solar company. When comparing cost, equipment, and support I decided Green Rack Solar provided the best value. I started my research by submitting information on the EnergySage website. That site resulted in 7 quotes from different solar companies. I narrowed that list down to three companies and then contacted each POC by phone. All reps were knowledgeable and very helpful answering my questions about solar. From that point I picked Green Rack Solar. I worked a lot with Scott McKinstry. We discussed different hardware, system size, pros and cons of different mounting locations and details about warranties and support. When Scott couldn’t answer my questions someone else from within the company either called or responded by email to address my question. At some point I feel like I talked to everyone in the company.
A site visit was completed where multiple pictures were taken and my questions related to the system design were answered. Next, a contract was signed on the Feb 1, 2025. Around the same time, I started working with Joseph Foster. Joseph kept me updated on the different paperwork parts of the electric company’s approval process. All in all, the process was quicker than I expected. Once everything was approved an installation date was coordinated. The installers showed up on time and worked to complete different parts of the install. The install team explained things as they went and photographed every aspect of the install. Panels were not installed due to windy conditions but they rescheduled a second visit and quickly completed the install. My electric company updated my meter and issued the Authority to Operate soon after the install. I received instructions to energize the system. Breakers were turned on, a monitoring app was downloaded, account information was provided and I was able to see various aspects of the system and the electricity it was generating.
I would recommend Green Rack Solar to anyone interested in having a system installed. If you are just starting to research a solar system for yourself or if you are ready to pick a company now, I would definitely recommend reaching out to Green Rack Solar.

I have been debating on adding solar panels for a couple years but have been very reluctant because of not having enough background or comfort knowing who are the companies that stand behind what they do. I was given a recommendation from an acquaintance after seeing his install. He highly recommended them and I can say he was right about that. I worked with Scott from sales for several weeks as I asked tons of questions and threw different ideas to find the ideal system. Scott never pressured me into something I was not comfortable with, he wanted to make sure he answered all questions even if it went having to talk to someone else and get back to me. Making sure I was getting a good deal, I did my homework and reached out to other companies. Some pressure you into signing contracts and some are not forthcoming with why they picked the hardware they did. Turns out I am getting what I feel is the best equipment at the best price.

Once it was time for installation, Keegan was on top of everything. When he first showed up we walked the whole plan end to end. He made sure to answer all questions and concerns and even gave me options after we looked at some things to possibly make it better. When they had to make some adjustments with the panel layout he walked me through it, explained the reasoning and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the adjustment. The team did a great job to complete the install in a couple days. Tyler worked with me to make sure that we got the power run back to the house in an ideal way, even boring under the driveway. The team that did the permitting and power company applications kept me informed as the process moved along.

The only feedback I would give
- west Penn power is slow moving so expect delayed timelines when dealing there.
- There was one or two instances where adjustments were made to the original plans. Those adjustments were agreed upon and did not make it to the ops team. These instances were quickly rectified with a couple phone calls. So I don’t mark them for it.

You cannot go wrong!

Alex was the crew lead, I was able to speak directly with all team members, roof guys, electricians..the entire team did a great job in less than ideal weather. They were professional and thorough. All aspects of the Solar Panel installation met my expectations. I would definitely recommend Greenrack Solar.

Everything about this company is phenomenal. They do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it!! Which is so RARE in this industry. They were on time, professional, friendly to humans and pets, knew exactly what they were doing, made everything aesthetically pleasing and so much more. I highly recommend you ask for them to install your solar.

From the very beginning, working with Scott, we received great service on our solar journey. The design options were fair, as we other supplier options we pursues through Energysage. We ended choosing the more simple panel design proposed by Green Rack covering 80% of our usage.
We ran into odd permitting issues with our house occupancy, and were greatly assisted by Mary to address this city issue. This took us months to resolve, and Mary helped us the whole time. She handled all the solar permitting, without any extra inputs from us.
Installation took two trips, as our installation manager Josh found some wrong panels were delivered. Rather than try to make them work, Josh stopped the install, making sure all the proper components were used per the design specs. one week later, the install was completed, by another install team coordinated by Todd the ops manager.
Mary organized the final inspections and electric company visits. We had one last issue
With the electronic control signals. A text to Scott resulted in the service tech Tyler arriving at the house in less than two hours, troubleshooting the problem (outside in a rainstorm), and getting the new system running, generating our first solar power. It has been over two weeks now, and the system is generating electricity, slightly over the design targets. Perfect!
The customer service of each and everyone at green rack was high quality, with fast and friendly responses, and technically accurate content. All coordinated through Scott, a great team indeed. The installers were respectful to our property, and each other. We were glad to have them at our house, for both efforts

If you're in the PGH area getting residential solar, these guys will treat you right. Scott was my sales guy and he answered all my questions right away. Green Rack was very familiar with the local codes, permits, and forms. Tyler's team put all my panels up in one day and cleaned up everything well.

Get your install this year while there's still a great federal tax credit.

Matt was awesome! Very professional and reliable. I was without power due to a recent wind storm and when I called in a panic they sent Matt out , the next day the work was completed.
