Very responsive, honest and reasonably priced.

Update: Even though the initial process was great. After only a few weeks I started to have weeds growing in the mulch. Looks like an improper terrain preparation prior to apply the mulch. They did came to spray and pick the weeds about three times but after that he said he wouldn’t keep doing it. Currently I have to be picking up a significant amount of weeds every other week to maintain the work plus use different products to try to prevent weed growth. It’s worth noting that the main reason for this work (which was mentioned during the estimate process) was to prevent frequent maintenance due to the dangerous slope of the area.

Mike finished our back yard and we couldn’t be happier! He smoothed out our backyard and re-graded it in other areas. He removed any bumps or holes that we had and treated our yard to help with grass regrowth. He was great to work with, we HIGHLY recommend his business!

Mike helped me out big time last summer with building a pretty large versa lock retaining wall in my driveway! A two tier wall with solid concrete steps in the middle that lead to my back yard! He did an awesome job and is very detail oriented. I recommend him to everyone that needs any kind of landscaping services!

Mike did an amazing job on my lawn. I had 2 dogs who peed on the lawn for 8 years and there was barely anything left with large patches of dirt and weeds. After a full redo of the lawn consisting of thatch, aeration, leveling, reseeding, and top dressing + tons of consistent watering my lawn is full, thick, and greener, and the best lawn on the street! DC Contracting & Landscaping installed a decorative retaining wall around the flower beds at our house. Dave and his team showed up on time, worked diligently to complete the project in a timely manner and cleaned up the entire site once completed. The finished product was outstanding! We had to replace our front steps outside our house, and it was a big job that included some brick work behind the steps. Dave came and gave us a fair estimate, and we hired him to do the job. He does the majority of the work himself, so he was always there to answer any questions we might have had, which is nice compared to other places where you have to deal with multiple people from estimate to job completion. Dave did a great job on the steps and the brick work. They look brand-new, and we're very happy with them. Highly recommend this contractor!

Dave and his crew were prompt and highly detailed in their work. My wife and I hired him twice over two years to replace our driveway, install 3 retaining walls, replace our front entry stoop and replace/reconfigure our entry walkway. His prices were very reasonable for both projects and he was always on time and work extremely efficiently. We ran into a few unexpected situations on both projects and before anything was done, we talked about options, he gave us pricing, and he moved along without pause or hesitation to improve the end result. Dave and his team were hard working, courteous, and, most importantly, very conscious about details. If I need(ed) ANY additional work done, I’d hire him without hesitation.

Dave has done multiple projects for me for well over a decade. Once I saw the quality of his work I decided that I would call only him for every other hardscaping project in the future. So far Dave has installed several walkways throughout the yard, a drainage system to carry water away from the house that tied in 4 downspouts, a large patio with 2 drains, he rebuilt two large natural stone retraining walls, added 4 low natural stone walls, installed a small patio behind a gazebo with a recessed bubbler,a large paver circle with a sitting wall for a fire pit and lined the curve of the driveway with natural stone. The concrete walkways are still crack free and in beautiful shape after more than a decade. I wouldn’t consider using anyone else.

Dave Czepiel, owner of DC Contracting, did an outstanding job on replacing our old concrete patio with permeable pavers along with reconfiguring our hot tub and outdoor grill, adding a counter area and installing a fence. His work is thoughtfully planned and meticulously executed. He is easy to deal with and will go the extra mile to handle any unexpected contingencies, including in our case dealing with a persistent chipmunk who kept trying to dig between pavers. His pricing is competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Dave Czepiel has provided high quality concrete work at an honest price for our HOA. Dave takes pride in the finished project with meticulous detail from the layout work to the concrete pour and finish to the topsoil and grass seeding. Our HOA has been very happy with the finished product and utilizes DC Contracting annually to continue work in our community.

Absoutely amazing transformation of our front yard garden beds & overgrown landscape. Jordan drove out to our property on short notice, took a quick look around & knew exactly what needed to be done. His crew were meticulous, courteous, hardworking, punctual every day and extremely professional. They cleaned up everything like they were never there, & went above & beyond what they were asked to do. These guys know their stuff & treated my lawn like they were fixing up the White House or Buckingham Palace. They checked in with us whenever there was a question & made sure we were happy before they left. They made everything streamlined, stress-free, timely & got a tough job done fast. We are thrilled beyond words & have received numerous glowing compliments since they have completed their work. This is THE BEST our yard has ever looked in the near decade we have owned our property. We have a large piece of land in a wooded area & it can be a beast to tame. If you need some landscaping help, especially if it’s looks like an impossible job, these are your guys. Highly, highly recommend.

I contacted steel city to have my retaining wall replaced. Jordan came and gave me a quote within a week and was able to get a crew out over a month earlier than initially expected! The crew was very courteous and did a fantastic job. The wall was completed in a few short days and looks better than I could have imagined. I contracted Steel City Landscape to build a retaining wall and patio. I was very happy with the quality of work and overall professionalism employed by the entire staff. My home sits atop a steep hill which would’ve been a potential issue with another contractor but Steel City circumvented the problem creatively and effectively. During the course of the project I decided I wanted to expand my patio, this expansion was a pivot in the job but was handled effortless. Despite the additional work Steel City completed the project ahead of schedule. I would strongly recommend Steel City for any landscape or Hardscape needs. You WILL be satisfied.
