I love how some of the staff are knowledgeable about the care of so many foliages. Most of the crew are extremely efficient and Roman always goes the extra mile to put quality into his work. My yard looks great and I don't have to worry about a thing.

It certainly wasnt manicured ! Well, it was cured, by man, it looked like a cornfield after harvesting, that area under the big wheel at Station Square Pittsburgh. It looks like they took a lawn mower and just ran over the tops till they ended up 2 inches tall. Thnks.

We recently decided to revamp our yard and retaining wall because Ryan Homes did an extremely sub par job.

UPDATE- After reading my poor review I was contacted by one of Steel City's friendly employees - they explained the situation - the (former) employee who provided the initial estimate did not submit the work order. To make it up, Steel City gave us a 10% discount - the work was completed quickly and looks AMAZING. They followed up after installation for any questions and to see how we liked the work. OLD REVIEW: Signed a $5105 contract last May (2018). Said they'd call back when the schedule opened up in September and never heard from them again.

I hired Steel City Landscaping last fall to restore my backyard as a result of a backhoe digging up the yard to repair a water line. They arranged to come out this spring to start the process. The restoration required that the filled ground and rocks be leveled off. Then apply topsoil, seed, fertilizer, and coat with mushroom manure.

They came out on time as scheduled and were both knowledgeable and extremely helpful with all my concerns.

The workers on site went above and beyond to not only restore the areas hard hit by the backhoe but also leveled off the majority of the yard so that when the grass grew in, it would appear even.

They took their time to do the work and thoroughly cleaned up everywhere so that there would be no trace of any materials used. They also gave me instructions as to properly care for my new lawn and when to expect new grass to start growing.

I was extremely pleased with my installation and plan to use them for all my future landscaping projects.

They were amazing! They transformed our overgrown front yard into a beautiful space.
They worked with us to figure out the best solution to replace the falling retaining wall in our front and redid the landscaping. I can’t say enough good things about this company. We purchased a property with a challenging piece of landscape to say the least & one of our only concerns about purchasing the property was how to maintain the landscaping. Steel City Landscaping came to look at the property, completely eased my mind that they could take care of the general maintenance, provided a more than fair quote, and have been providing amazing service for us on a weekly basis ever since. Steel City Landscaping did a great job removing all of our old shrubs and replacing all new flowers and bushes to bring new life to our yard. They also planted trees exactly how we needed them. They were always prompt and respectful. Would recommend for any job!

Steel City Landscape updated our landscaping and redid the hardscape on our back porch. The process was fantastic including design, product, timeliness, friendly workers, completion and price!! We are so happy with the end result that should increase our home value when we sell some day. We HIGHLY recommend them!!

We hired Steel City Landscaping to take on the planning and completion of a large patio area in our backyard. This was a huge project that involved removing an existing concrete patio, excavating the yard, installing a Versa-Lok retaining wall, firepit, and a paver patio. After my initial call, the owner of the company came to our home and gave us his recommendations for a functional entertaining area. We were promptly offered a bid on the job, which we thankfully accepted. The job took an entire month to complete. The 4 contractors on the job worked from 8am to 4pm every day, and they worked hard. They paid attention to every single detail. It was extremely evident that they take great pride in their work. The owner, Jordan, would also stop by weekly to check on the job and address any concerns.
The finished patio is beautiful. My grandfather always told me, ^You get what you pay for." We definitely got our moneys worth at a fair price. If you want an exceptional company to do your job, don't hesitate in hiring Steel City Landscaping.

Jordan and crew were a pleasure to deal with. They were flexible on timing and clearly cared about their work.

We had three main goals: (1) address some drainage issues on the side of our house (2) replace cracked and aging sidewalk (3) installing an EVSE.

When Jordan came out for the estimate, he immediately noticed that a concrete walkway next to the house sloped towards the house, directing water in the wrong direction. He suggested removing it and replacing it with river rock sloped away from the house and installing a drainage pipe to redirect runoff from the gutters further away.

For practical reasons, our large hedges would need to be removed so that the machinery could get into place. Jordan showed his knowledge of flora as he talked us through some options for replacement that would be maintainable and deer-resistant, but we ultimately decided to go with an open lawn to start with.

The concrete subcontractor had a cancellation that provided us with an opportunity to get the sidewalk done earlier than expected, so Jordan hustled to get a crew out to remove the hedges early as well. This crew was quick and precise, making short work of the removal.

The sidewalk installation went well — Steel City Landscape has selected a concrete subcontractor that also clearly cares about the quality of their finished product.

The walkway removal, drain installation, and river rock placement all went smoothly and quickly. The most labor intensive part proved to be removing some crumbling bricks from the side of our steps. It was heartening to see the amount of care they put into the removal, trying very hard to not damage the existing staircase.

The EVSE installation was done by our electrician, but Steel City Landscape dug the trench for the electric cables. This was the only part of the project that there was a bit of miscommunication — the trench was supposed to be 18 inches but was closer to 12. However, once I reached out to Jordan, he sent out Mike the same day to correct the trench. Mistakes happen; it's all about how you fix them that matters, and this was a great solution to the problem.

Every single employee I talked to was professional, demonstrated competency, and cared about the end result.

If I have any similar landscaping needs in the future, Steel City Landscape will be at the top of my list to reach out to.

Steelers City did a fantastic job. We received patio, wall, and walkway hardscape, plus plant package. SC removed existing vegetation and shrubs and installed roof gutter to street. All done on schedule as stated and to budget. SC was very clean and dressed up the disturbed areas with seed and matting. Everything looks great. SC followed up many times to check on my satisfaction with the work. I recommend Steel City highly.

We had an old retaining wall that was 60 feet long. It wasn't holding anything crazy up, but as we move to make our back yard more enjoyable and place we want to hang out in, it was the first thing on the list. The new retaining wall looks incredible. The crew did an amazing job, and my wife and I love it. Demolished and hauled away the old wall, installed a new wall and put in 10 tons of river rock on the hill. They then finished up by repairing any yard damage from machinery. These guys know what they're doing.

Worked with Mike to get a plan for doing a walkway, retaining wall and some work on a gravel driveway. Was a great process talking through our options with him and the price was extremely fair and communication was easy throughout. Esteban and his crew were here for a week and got everything done efficiently and beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the work done and the crew. Will absolutely use them in the future for any projects and recommend them to friends and family!

Steel City is a pleasure to do business with. Their hard working crews are very professional and respectful. They show up on time, and are talented and meticulous. Estaban's crew was here for a month installing a new patio and french drains. Their work is exceptional! And Ubaldi's mulching crew did a fantastic job cleaning up the yard and mulching the beds. Mike oversaw the crews every morning, and was on top of every detail. Jordan coordinated everything and kept everything on schedule and has excellent communication skills. I highly recommend working with Steel City Landscaping.
