We recently had a pool installed. The pool people pretty much screwed up everything imaginable. They were supposed to do a final grade in the yard but left us holding the bag so to speak. We got estimates to do the work and although SC was not the lowest, we felt more comfortable with their competence and game plan for restoring our yard. It was a great decision. the difference in cost was negligible. They completely restored our yard. They took it to a new final grade, seeded and installed a sprinkler system to ensure proper watering. The yard is coming in great! We had some issue with bare spots and reported them to the owner. Within a week, he sent a crew out to re-seed the areas (no questions asked). We received great service and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Steel City built a new retaining wall with a new off street parking spot for us; something we had wanted for years. They responded to my request for a bid within days and then modified for changes I requested over night, They even provided drawings without being asked. They started the job and finished within the promised time frame and the workmanship is excellent. They also took care of contacting the gas and water companies to ensure no utility lines were damaged. Very, very pleased! Steel City has our highest recommendations. Now, what project do I want them to do next????

I have used Steel City Landscape company twice this year. First to clean my beds, mulch, edge, and trim my bushes which they did a very professional and fantastic job. Since they did such a nice job we reached out again for them to grade a very difficult spot in my yard where they mixed in dirt, took into account drainage, seeded, and straw blanketed the area. I was blown away by how the team showed up on time, worked tirelessly and completed the job in 1 day! They made sure that we were happy with the entire job and they cleaned up everything to perfection. Steel City Landscape is a cut above the rest. Love those guys and they are the only ones I trust! We started using Steel City Landscapes mowing services in the spring of 2016 and we were delighted with the dependable, professional outstanding quality work delivered by the team. In the fall we used the fall/leave clean up program and again were thrilled with the work. We have a very large tree in our back yard that covers our lawn in leaves and the program we enrolled in was well worth the cost. The team clears all the leaves and hauls them away and the yard looks impeccable. This spring we utilized their mulching services of all our garden beds and around our trees, They edge each bed beautifully and do detailed work. We have lived in our home for 21 years and our lawn looks the best its ever looked thank you to Steel City. What's most impressive is the professionalism of the crew, the dependability and the quality work. The prices you pay are well worth the result. Another comment we would add is that the day of our mulching job, the owner actually stopped by to check on the job and its progress which we felt was invaluable. The owner always has followed up on any questions or concerns as well which makes us feel that our business is important to him.

Steel City did a great job on our backyard last year, and the improvements continue to work as planned almost a year later. We were having issues with an old retaining wall, drainage issues, constant runoff/debris in our yard from a hillside, as well as the need to reset a small fire pit patio that was holding water. Jordan came in made some recommendations and I can say they all worked as described while creating a backyard paradise. The team is tremendous and very particular to make sure you get exactly what you want. They put in a new retaining wall, and suggested replacing the steep hillside mulch areas with large limestone to contain the runoff, as well as accenting our pool area with the limestone to tie it all together. We were able to do a mix of mulch in some spots and they no longer run off either. Every suggestion works great and the water now flows to the drains and to the street, eliminating the mess after heavy storms. The fire pit areas no longer holds water after rain. They also reclaimed some areas lost to weeds, adjacent to some woods, with a no mow fescue area, which the dog now uses as its own. The latter means less clean up after the dog as well! We spend a lot of time in our yard and often entertain others who all notice how well the work was done and how the wall color and limestone ties in the existing hardscape in the yard. We are extremely happy and highly recommend Jordan and the team.

Steel City completed an entire yard overhaul for us including excavating into our backyard hill to give us more usable yard space, building a new retaining wall, installing a french drain, and redoing all of our garden beds with fresh plants, river rock, and mulch. We could not be more pleased with the outcome! While Steel City was not the cheapest quote we received, the value was absolutely there, and we feel like we definitely got our money's worth. Our project manager, Josh, was extremely responsive and easy to work with, which is a rare find in comparison to all of the contractors we have worked with over the years. The crew including Martine, Manuel, Carlos, and Frank were all extremely professional and pleasant to work with. We especially appreciated that any mess or sidewalk repairs needed from the machinery were cleaned and repaired before the project was completed. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for hardscaping or landscaping, and would work with them again without hesitation!

I am extremely pleased with a large retaining wall project Steel City Landscape recently completed at my home! Everything, beginning with the very detailed quote to the finished project and clean up, ran smoothly and on time. Josh and his crew worked extremely hard and did an excellent job building the walls. It was apparent they take great pride in their work and their attention to detail was amazing! They were always available to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend Steel City!

From start to finish the 2 gentlemen who built my retaining wall were awesome. They were very pleasant, very professional, and very hardworking individuals. They arrived on time and put in a good day's work. Each day they left my place looking neat and clean. In addition, I'd like to recognize others who worked on the project. The foreman was also very professional. He answered my questions and kept me abreast of the progress. There were also some helpers that arrived throughout the project who worked equally hard. The next step of the project was always ready to go. There was never any down time. I might add that the clean trucks were very impressive, too! I would not hesitate to recommend Steel City Landscape to anyone looking to do a retaining wall.  BTW, I LOVE my new wall!!

My recently purchased home had a nice retaining wall installed by Steel City, so I contracted them to also install a driveway drainage system. I was impressed by the crew's timeliness and friendliness but most of all by their work ethic and attention to detail throughout the project. I am very happy with the work and highly recommend Steel City Landscapes.

If it was possible, I would give them higher than a five-star rating. Our overall experience with Steel City Landscaping was extremely professional and easy. The management team clearly communicated costs through a detailed quote and discussed potential roadblocks to the completion of the project both prior and during the project. Furthermore, the time estimates for completion were very accurate, even though they had to go the extra mile (actually a number of extra miles) to make sure the project was completed to their high standards.

In addition to the excellent management team, the crew that executed the work was highly skilled, efficient, and had a fantastic attention to detail. The crew was very friendly and answered our questions with a positive attitude. As part of answering our questions they would explain how our concerns would be addressed with their next steps or why a certain approach was required to obtain the best results for the project. Their attention to detail, on both the retaining well and hill landscaping, couldn’t be overstated.

The process of working with Steel City Landscaping was easy and the end result of the project is everything we could have hoped for when we started. We will definitely consider Steel City Landscaping for future work to our home.

Steel City landscape built a large patio to the front of our house with brick pavers. The work was high quality and exceeded our expectations. After installation they redid the landscaping of our front slope where they had to get some heavy machines through. The owner took all our questions and was great to work with and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Jordan is so easy to work with. He’s quick to respond throughout the process. He came to the house and gave us excellent recommendations - we were able to maintain much of an existing retaining wall and walkway but enhance both to look new. The Steel City Landscaping team is friendly and reliable. We love the results, get compliments from neighbors, and will continue to work with Jordan.

If we had the option I would give a score of 2.5 overall as our overall experience was a mix of good and not so good. We hired Steel City Landscaping in the Fall of 2022 to redo our entire front landscaping and to continue to maintain it. They came out and did the work which turned out nice. The design was nice (not perfect) but overall it turned out nice. The guys were able to do the work in one full day. They then came out and touched up some things this spring for us with new mulch and trimming. However when we contacted the Jordan, the owner of the company, to come out this fall to for normal maintenance for the plants and trimming he informed me that they won't come out for jobs less than $2000. He told me via text message to find someone else for that type of work which left us holding the bag finding someone else.

When we originally contacted Steel City Landscaping we told them that we were looking for a company not only the initial work but to maintain it as well after the initial install and now they completely changed their story. Since then we contacted several other landscape companies and nobody seems interested in working on someone else's work. Follow up texts to the owner (Jordan) went unanswered which is very disappointing. We would have not gone with Steel City Landscaping had we known they would not maintain it and we feel that the owner withheld this from us intentionally to get the job. We never leave these type of reviews especially on Google but I wanted to share our experiences so that another potential customer doesn't find themselves in the same situation.

I started using Steel City last year for landscape work. New lawn and fall cleanup. Jordan was easy to work with and yard looked great. This is my first year for the complete lawn service. Fantastic work from all of the crews. Rob, Enrique and Carlos completed mulch and yard work in extreme heat. I would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely cannot recommend Jordan and Steel City Landscaping enough! I’ve used them for multiple projects (including a full lawn installation) for the last few years and all have been executed extremely well and my landscaping is honestly fantastic. Jordan is consultative and responsive, happy to come up with ideas and offer suggestions. He’s also always on-site at some point (or multiple points) during each project. Carol in the office is responsive and communicative and very easy to work with. The crew is neat, efficient, and meticulous with their work.

Steel city landscaping did a fantastic job. I could not be happier. Very professional workers and did everything in one day. Reasonably priced and was up front about everything with no surprises. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jordan and his entire team were professional and did exceptional work. We had new construction and our back yard wasn't in a great state. The soil wasn't great quality, the grass wasn't coming in, and it was not well graded. Our yard was pocketed and muddy.

We had a large plan to re-grade, add a deck and fence, and some large planting beds. Steel city was very flexible and got us in early to do the grading portion before the deck/fence went in and was able to come by later in the year to do the plantings.

Every part of the result is excellent. Our yard is much more usable, and the beds they added are beautiful. Several times I have been in our back yard and had people walking by comment on how great it looks and ask who did it. We will definitely be using them for future work and recommending them to any who needs landscaping work.

10/3 followup: By the end of the summer, a few of the arborvitae they planted had died. It was a brutal summer with record highs and almost no rain, so no surprise there. Steel City replaced them for free and somehow managed to do so without harming any of the many flowers and other plantings surrounding them. We also had them come and do aeration/overseeding/topdressing for our front yard (which was pretty barren). Just a week and a half later, it is absolutely lush.

Can't say enough great things about the work Steel City Landscaping and their work they just completed at my house. The crew was very nice, professional, and fast! I was more than impressed with the work, thank you!

We have been using Steel City Landscape, Inc. for several years now for our normal lawn maintenance, but have also engaged them in several other projects as well that have left us extremely happy with their work. Most recently, we embarked on a project that we knew was going to be challenging and a bit out of their comfort zone, but what an incredible outcome! Shaun and his crew were on top of everything, included my desires and wants in the project, and allowed me to help drive on the spot decisions that were necessary due to constraints that we had during the build.

We are very proud to share this project with the Google community and highly encourage anyone to call them to create an outside space for pure enjoyment!
