Gardenalia designed and planted a beautiful new garden to replace a brick patio in our front yard. They were very friendly, responsive, and professional at every step of the process -- always easy to reach and quick to answer questions and provide information. Their services are a little bit on the expensive side, but in my opinion the quality of the results were well worth the extra cost!

We recently had a design consultation from Gardenalia and it was exactly what we needed to start from scratch in our new backyard. Our consultation included a wealth on information on all the important considerations for our space, and the owner was so thoughtful, creative, and professional in all of the recommendations. This is a great service offered by Gardenalia and I could not have been more pleased with the experience and the outcome.

We moved into a house with extensive existing plantings, but we have little experience with perennials. We had an hour-long consultation with Patrizia, with the goal of figuring out what we were dealing with. She walked through the front, side, and back and named every plant, gave us information and suggestions for what to do with each, and answered our questions. She then prioritized what to do overall, including giving us a timeline for urgent items. Its was incredibly helpful and made an otherwise daunting task feel more manageable moving forward. I typed up my written notes after the consultation and I had notes for at least 65 plants--Patrizia is a wealth of information!

We needed to revitalize long neglected gardens and chose Gardenalia for their creative and natural design aesthetics. From concept to completion, Patrizia, Brandon, and their entire crew were fun and professional. The gardens look fantastic in full bloom. We highly recommend Gardenalia!

The installation process was effortless. The crew was knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. Each morning I was advised on the plan for the day. Management periodically stopped by to oversee the progress of the project. At the end of the day they cleaned up and made everything tidy. They use very high quality plants and focus on sustainable garden practices. The combination of trees, shrubs and perennials creates a beautiful garden. To my delight, they also designed and built a modern patio and non-traditional rose trellises for me. At the end of the project I was given a very easy to follow maintenance guide.

We purchased a home almost a year ago and had an extensive outdoor project on our hand. At the time, we contacted several landscapers for a consultation/quote and encouraged each to give us their best recommendation. Given that we spend so much time outside, it was important to us that our landscape be aesthetically pleasing.

Unfortunately, none of the landscapers “wowed” us with their pitch, at least not until we turned to Gardenalia. Although Gardenalia has a consultation fee, we expected the level of creativity and attention to detail to be taken up a notch, and that’s exactly what we discovered. We were visited by Patrizia who shared her wealth of knowledge about gardening and landscaping. She noticed things that didn’t even occur to us – potential areas of erosion and water pooling, quality of the soil, where the sun travels, and what types of foliage would thrive best under these conditions – and she queried us about our own preferences (colors, scents, inspiration, etc.). After taking photos and spending some time to herself carefully evaluating our area, she went back to her studio and started crafting a design plan.

After a few months of planning and occasional questions, she presented to us her vision and we were blown away at the attention to detail. She factored in not only the surrounding environment but even the change of seasons, perspective from all angles, and potential wildlife/disease complications, strategically selecting and placing every single plant, shrub, and tree in the area to maximize beauty and survival.

While originally intended to be a multi-phase project, we found ourselves so in love with the design that we impatiently opted to have the whole thing executed at once so that we could enjoy it as soon as possible. Although you own the design that Gardenalia creates and have the freedom to select who installs it and when, we decided to work with Gardenalia’s partner given comfort, familiarity, and long-standing working relationships. There was absolutely no pressure to do this; rather, it was a decision made by us because we felt a comfort level there.

We’re pleased to report that the installation was executed this week, and the work that Gardenalia and their partner has done has been nothing short of amazing. They’ve taken an eroded hillside filled with weeds and turned it into a backyard paradise. From every angle, spectators can appreciate the beauty of Patrizia’s design, and we find just walking around back there is practically therapeutic. We’ve received numerous compliments from our neighbors, and we’re excited to show off our new surroundings to friends and family.

I've known Patrizia since college and I knew she was a landscape designer in the United States so I asked her suggestions for a lot I purchased here in the north of Italy. She not only suggested beautiful plants but also gave me a napkin sketch with the layout of the plants. I'm honestly impressed with how she created such a simple yet beautiful design from a Google aerial view and a few pictures of the lot in such a short time.

We used Gardenalia to design and install a landscaping plan on a tight city lot with some challenging site constraints. They listened to our priorities and came up with a plan that maximized our lot. They used some of our favorite plants, but also suggested ones that we weren’t even aware of. The installation was well done. I would recommend them to anyone!

We dont have a yard: Just a few raised beds behind our row house, that are pretty difficult to access. The folks at Gardenalia did a great job personalizing something for my unique space, including moving dirt, mulch, and plants, where they needed them to be (which is no small feat!) They put our plants in in late fall, and this spring and summer we've been gradually been getting to see the fruits of all their labor: The colors are gorgeous and everything's thriving-- plus we're getting lots of pollinators, as promised! I loved that they provided plans for everything they planted, complete with info on the flowers and details about how to take care of them. I'd definitely recommend Gardenalia for this type of work; we're very happy with our results!

My wonderful city townhouse came with a private walled patio, but unfortunately the entire surface was brick with no place to create a garden. After reading about Gardenalia online, I asked Patrizia to design a garden bed in one corner of the courtyard. Her design looked great, and I got on the waiting list. To my surprise, Patrizia contacted me much earlier than expected, while I was out of town, and let me know they could do the work that week. I was thrilled to return to a lovely garden space all ready to plant, with guidance from Patrizia's suggested plant layout. Even though I won't have everything in the ground before winter, the view from inside is already transformed. This was small project of course, but I have every confidence that a larger one would be equally successful. Highly recommended!

We bought my childhood home last summer and desperately needed to update the old shaded backyard into a space we actually wanted to spend time in.
