Fred's Tree Service was awesome during our front yard tree stump removal. Rob and Anthony were very friendly, fast and informative of the process. Will be utilizing Fred's again for my backyard!

Had a great experience with Fred’s Tree Service this weekend. They cut back a very large tree in the backyard and we are very happy with the end result. Crew was on-time, professional, and very skilled at what they do. The yard and surrounding area was completely cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend this company.

Great service! I had gotten a quote from another company that never followed up to schedule the work. I called, and Fred came the same day to provide an estimate which was very fair for the scope of work. We got on the schedule within a few days and the crew did a great job!

I had a different company cut down a very large maple that left me “ firewood “ that only large machinery could move.
I called Fred’s in the morning for a quote to remove all of the wood. Within an hour I had a quote, the crew showed up not long after and did a fantastic job!
They were quick, efficient and professional.

We had a tree in our back yard that the wind blew over yesterday afternoon and landed in our driveway! I called several tree companies for help!
Fred’s tree service responded immediately and Fred was at my house within 15 minutes of my phone call! The tree was a 50 foot high maple tree that fell over! This was a Friday afternoon! He gave me a quote and said he could remove the tree the very next day, which was a Saturday morning!
They did an OUTSTANDING JOB and left our yard and driveway immaculate! He exceeded our expectations!
While he was here we asked him to trim all the trees in the back of our house and to remove all the bushes in the front of our house! WOW! WOW! WOW! He and his team did it all and in one day!

Fred and his crew are amazing people!! Fred was quick to give us a fair quote and even showed up on the day of work. His crew was polite and did an excellent job cutting trees and bushes. They also cleaned our house gutters. We were also really impressed with the clean up job they did at the end. The communication from start to finish was beyond great. We can’t thank them enough and will definitely use them for future projects.

We had a tree come down on our home after a recent wind storm, as well as other trees and damage in the yard. Tom, from Dean Thomas Tree Services, came over quickly to assess and the estimate came in just as quickly and reasonably. He was clear in discussing the scope of work with us. Due to an opening in there schedule, they were able to come the next day. His team arrived on time, were courteous and professional. They did an amazing job. They left our yard looking better than it did before the trees fell! Very thankful to Tom and his team.

I have several trees on my lot and 2 that need special attention. Tom and his crew have taken care of me for many years. They are professionals. They are thorough. The price is fair. Tom, the owner is an arborist, not just some hack with a chainsaw. That makes a big difference in how my special trees get taken care of.

They did work for my mother in Forest Hills and I used them for my rental property in Edgewood and Wilkinsburg. Great group of guys and can handle any job from tree trimming to large removals.

I called Pittsburgh Lumberjack Tree Service about a huge branch that was severely cracked and about to fall and possibly do damage to my car. Setting up a quote was very easy and communication was great. The price for removing the branch was incredibly affordable and fair. We have already recommended them to a couple other people in our neighborhood. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Amazing!

We had a tree hit by lightning and unfortunately, it was the only playable yard in our yard and both of my special needs boys were extremely attached to it. My landlord hired this company to take care of it and upon inspection, we found out two other smaller trees, dogwoods, were coming down. When they arrived, they asked me which trees were being cut. I knew the crabapple, and heard mention of 2 dogwoods. The guys told me they didn’t really know types of trees. I said I didn’t know which two they were. I know one looked a bit scraggly, but I didn’t know which other or if they were even dogwoods. My boys were beyond inconsolable about the crabapple tree. Since we didn’t know they were arriving that day, we were unprepared. I told my landlord and she asked if they’d be ok with saving 4 feet of trunk and yes! That would be wonderful! She called the office and let them know she wanted 4 ft of stump left. I told the workers I talked to my landlord and she wanted the stump left and showed them her text. I then had to take my late kids to school. When I returned, the entire tree was gone. They said they never received a call from the office. They said they called Joe, their boss, 3 times and he never answered or responded. They said if they didn’t cut it down, their jobs were on the line. I really have no idea if they cut the correct trees down. They arrived having no clue which trees they were supposed to cut beyond the large crabapple. Boss is unreachable. Zero communication for an industry where the result is permanent. Horribly disappointed.
