Heating and Cooling. Came out Tuesday and we thought the problem was fixed. It was not. Yesterday Mat came out and worked for 5 hours trying to fix my furnace. Unable to fix due to grounding issues, he helped me get the financing, and came back at 5 pm with the rest of his crew and a heater to blow thru our vents while they installed the and the new furnace which was in by 8 pm. Happy with the work.

Home Mechanix installed a new HVAC and tankless water heater, including new duct and new plumbing. The HVAC unit was moved to a better location. We were very impressed with this crew. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable. The layout was perfect and this installation looks as great as it performs. We highly recommend Home Mechanix!

Matt helped me install a Nest Learning Thermostat after a different Nest Pro said he would and then got to "busy for the near future." Matt definitely went out of his way. Being new to Pittsburgh, I had to take a chance on finding a new contractor and I am really glad I found Home Mechanix.

Mat and all the folks at Home Mechanix are life savers. I reached out at 4pm in a Friday in the dead of summer for trouble wth my A/C and they squeezed me in within a reasonable timeframe. Great communication and very efficient. Very trustworthy company. Hopefully I won’t have anymore issues anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely call on Home Mechanix again.

When my air conditioner stopped working, I called and Home Mechanix was able to come the next day. Mike quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in such a short time. Professional and friendly; they really care about customers. Highly recommend!!

We couldn't be happier with the superior expertise and attention to detail that Mat and his team dedicated to replacing the heat pump at our Franklin Park home. Our five-ton unit has baffled countless HVAC professionals from multiple companies over four years...and cost us thousands in ineffective repairs and sky-high energy bills. In addition to installing a new unit, Mat quickly cut to the root cause of many problems over the years by rectifying a chronic leak and replacing an inadequate refrigerant line that every other technician had overlooked. We feel like a very expensive weight has been lifted from our shoulders! Mat is diligent, conscientious and couldn't be nicer to work with.

Mat and his colleagues are amazing. Here's a tale of two service calls. Gillece took one look at my old AC unit and advised that spending $8K to replace it would "ultimately" cost less than repair, for which they didn't have parts anyway. By contrast, Home Mechanix quickly identified and repaired the malfunctioning part for a very reasonable cost, responding promptly during a very busy (and sweltering) week. Thanks for being reliable, honest and skilled. You saved the day!

I had Matt over to install a Nest Camera. I really appreciate Matt helping me out on a tight schedule before I left town. Specifically, I was in a pinch after another Nest Pro stood me up. Matt is a really nice guy and very friendly. One important aspect that I want to note is that Matt worked with me to do it how I wanted it which was nice. I'll definitely be having him back to install more devices and service my HVAC systems.

I called Home Mechanix due e to AC which developed over night. Mike showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem and provided the solution. During the conversation he offered other ideas to improve my HVAC functionality using the equipment I currently own. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and professional. He explained to me the situation and possible causes in a way I could easily understand. I will absolutely call Home Mechanix again, the service was excellent!

Mat from Home Mechanix came out to fix our whole house humidifier. He was very knowledgeable and the price was reasonable. Plus he was also able to integrate our old system with our new nest! No more cracked dry skin, static, or bloody noses this year! Thanks Mat!

I worked with Matt. First, he fixed a leak in my AC. He explained what was the issue, what I should expect to occur going forward, and gave me requested quotes for a new AC. I called them again for a furnace issue and he again explained the issue, what I should expect going forward, and gave me the requested quotes.

I found Home Mechanix cheaper than local competition. I also found Matt to not take advantage of me with a broken furnace. They could have stalled and left me in the cold, forced to buy a furnace, but they didn't. They came back and fixed a control board quickly and affordably. I plan to get a new HVAC system through them in the future.

They are definitely worth a shot.

Matt and his team took amazing care of my house. He replaced two air conditioners and two furnaces in our house in the villas. He was nothing but professional and timely 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Home Mechanix will be our go to going forward. The pricing is fair and the quality of work is amazing. Mat and his team do quality work with HVAC. We had an old system that they replaced with a heat pump and it’s incredible that they made it all work with an old building. May was also good about making sure you know about any other issues that he sees (not necessary HVAC related). Home Mechanix came recommended from a friend when I was frustrated with so many other companies in the area and so glad for that recommendation. So I pass the recommendation along via this review. Do what you want, but I’ll be using Mat for the next project.

Home Mechanix has been maintaining our HVAC system for six years. They are absolutely exceptional. Easy to make a convenient appointment with, punctual, very polite, and do a crazy great job. Not only do they get things right the first time, they are so respectful of our home. We bought a home with a very complex system already installed, and Home Mechanix helped us understand how to actually use it properly, and they keep all running perfectly. We can not recommend them enough!

Mat was recommended to me by a friend and he has totally lived up to the recommendation. He has been very responsive, courteous and professional throughout all of my interactions with him. He responded even on a weekend when my AC stopped working and came to fix it the same evening after an outing with his family. That kind of customer service is golden. The AC ended up needing replaced and Mat provided many options to chose from, never pressuring me into one in particular. He did a fantastic job and I am finally feeling cool in my home again. I cannot recommend Mat and Home Mechanix enough and will definitely be using them for all of my heating/cooling needs in the future.

We went through several other HVAC companies that pushed options we weren’t asking for and quoted us with high and (in our opinion) unreasonable prices before finding Mat. He listened to what we wanted, found what we needed and quoted as a price that was transparent and fair. He communicated well with us, and showed up when he said he would. We were so pleased with his work and he even went above and beyond to reroute an electrical plug so we could have an additional outlet near the heater. Very satisfied customer!

Never followed up with an estimate, no response to phone calls. He said he was going to communicate with the manufacturer of our home's HVAC system to help figure out some troubles we've been having. When he wasn't responding, we asked him to simply tell us if he had learned any info from the manufacturer that we could pass on to somebody else who might want to do the work. Super disappointed. He seemed really friendly but no follow through.

Mat made the renovation of my entire HVAC system easy and really went above and beyond for me. He helped me get financing, and crafted my quotes specifically around energy rebates I wanted. He and his team were in and out in a day installing my new furnace and heat pump system. I’m looking forward to a cozy winter in my new home thanks to Home Mechanix!

All of my experiences with Matt and Home Mechanix has been extremely positive. After being impressed with Matt when he installed my Nest doorbell, I sought him out again when I wanted to add A/C to my home. Matt took the time to research my needs, explained my options, answered my questions and when the time came, he and his crew did a great job. I highly recommend Home Mechanix and will be using them for all of my heating/cooling needs.

We are soooooo impressed with Matt of Home Mechanix. He always returns our help calls promptly. If he is on a job, he will give us an approximate arrival and will call to say he is on his way. An absolute professional and caring for his customers. He runs his business the way all business should be run. Perhaps he could have a department that could teach business attributes!!!!! He is, without a doubt, extremely highly recommended. This is not the first time he has serviced our furnace needs. The first company we called sent out someone who didn't know how to fix boiler furnaces and told us we needed a new furnace!!!!!

Combustion services has been our go-to contractor for our boiler and ancient steam heat system. Fast response when needed, very professional and friendly. Workmanship is good, warranties honored. Would give them a sixth star.
