Ian was very professional and explained everything that he did. We had issues when we tried to install a new thermostat and we ended up wiring everything incorrectly. Ian was able to explain what went wrong, correct what we did, fixed the fuse and install the new thermostat quickly and now it works great! He took the time to quality check everything to make sure that the thermostat was doing everything that it said it would and that the furnace was operating correctly. He even explained how to use the thermostat. I would highly recommend them for repairs, install or maintenance!

I called Philips Heating & Cooling to get a second opinion on a quote from my home warranties contractor for a new central air system. John was able to schedule a consultation the next day with me. He spent alot of time with me going over my options. I never felt rushed and he always stopped to educate me on any questions. He left with the promise on a quote for a basic replacement and an upgraded model for the following day. I felt already sold just on the level of customer service versus the home warranty contractor. He came back with a quote that beat the home warranty contractor while giving me a more efficient unit. He was able to setup a install early the following week. Bill and Ed arrived promptly at 8:30 am. They started right away removing my old system and started installing the new system. They had the job done by early afternoon and I had ice cold air in my house after 3 weeks of heat. Bill and Ed were very friendly and answered any questions I asked. They were extremely professional and I could tell they did quality work when looking at the finished product. When settling the bill, there were no surprises and the work was priced as quoted. While leaving I thanked them for their great work and for cleaning up so well. Ed stated "We like our work to reflect as if we were working on something in our own homes". That statement is a testament to the quality and level of service of this family owned company. Customer service and value is a priority to this company and it shows through action and words. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area. Thank you again to everyone at Philips.

I had a water leak before the water meter, soaking the carpet. The office sent Nick the plumber out shortly , he diagnosed the problem, I had him shut it off at the curb, he told me where to dig, that's exactly where the leak was. He was very respectful, neat and efficient. He even wore boot covers in my driveway to keep the mud off it. Nick is very knowledgeable and courteous. I highly recommend him.

I am VERY pleased with Phillips. I have a Weil McLain Ultra boiler and I have a hard time finding someone that knows them and how to do maintenance on them. Over the years I have had the company that installed it and four others here to work on it. Each time I feel like I am teaching them how it works and telling them what needs to be done. This year it was not keeping up with the heat demand and one company said I needed a new one without any trouble shooting. I called Phillips since they are listed on Weil McLain's site and not only did they not quote me two to three weeks out like so many companies are now, they got here the same day! Bob, the tech they sent listened to me. He spent a few hours here and trouble shot the boiler and found a few things to tweak. He also stated he wanted to do a maintenance kit (clean the heat exchange) I agreed with him. The parts took a few days and with Thanksgiving in there they came back out today. Bob came in prepared with what he needed but more importantly he has the knowledge and skill to do it right. When he opened it up it was clear it had not been cleaned correctly less than 2 years ago by a competitor. Bob spent a lot of time making sure it was cleaned well and it was far harder than it should have been, had it been done correctly last time. The boiler now gets as hot as it did when it was new. Bob did an amazing job, is knowledgeable, a hard worker and all around a good guy! If you have a Weil McLain Ultra boiler do yourself a favor save your time and money and call Phillips they know how to take care of it. I assure you no one else will ever touch my boiler again. I have also recommended Phillips/Bob to my family. Thank you again for saving me from a new system that would have cost thousands of dollars and being knowable and honest. I only wish I could give you a few bonus stars!

I received 2 separate quotes for AC and Furnace. Both of mine were old and I was acting in advance of anticipated problems.
The quotes for each ranged in price and also reflected their efficiencies according to market data.
The quotes were good numbers based on my research.
2 separate teams showed for each install. All work was completed in 3 days. Both teams were respectful and courteous towards me and my home. They explained all the work. They were in and out. I would recommend Phillips as an HVAC provider for equipment and ongoing service and maintenance.

I highly recommend Phillips and will be using them for all of my future HVAC needs. They clearly explained what they were doing at every step of the process of replacing my furnace, gave me accurate estimates, did a great job at a reasonable price, and were very pleasant to communicate with. I first contacted them when I was considering buying a home that needed the furnace replaced. It was obvious that there was an issue with the intake of the previously installed system, but the intake was difficult to locate. After I purchased the home, Jim took the time to do a thorough search of my vent system to try and locate the intake in order to give me as accurate an estimate as possible for replacing the system. It became clear that we wouldn’t be able to locate the intake of the previous system until it was removed, and Jim explained what work would likely need to be performed once the intake was located. He also provided me with several options to choose from for the replacement furnace, and clearly explained the differences and advantages of each model. On installation day, once the previous system was removed and the intake was located, Ian and Mike did a really nice job of transitioning the previously installed ductwork to make sure that the front panel of the new furnace can be easily accessed for future servicing, and of making necessary adjustments to the intake so that the issues that arose in the previous unit would not occur in the new unit. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire process.

Could not be more pleased with the service from Phillips and their technician on site, Bob V. I was able to book the call quickly, and their administrator followed up prior to arrival as committed and the tech arrived as communicated. Bob was particularly helpful in explaining the cause of our poor air conditioning performance and explained his review of all the metrics that needed to be addressed to insure continued good performance. Had the needed part for repair on the truck and installed it without delay. Top notch!

From the home visit for the estimate to the install everything went as planned. The employees were all on time and friendly and answered my questions. They were able to work to get me a better price as well. Haven't ran the unit yet but the install is neat and when test running it it worked well. I was happy with my initial experience with this company.

We have used Phillips for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. They are professional and reasonably priced. We always request Wes since he has been our tech since we started using Phillips. He is exceptional and a great problem solver when there is an issue with our system. We had a lot of work done from Phillips Heating and Air. They replaced our furnace, installed air conditioning, and installed a ductless unit. Everyone who came to the house was extremely polite and professional. Everyone was easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. We would recommend Phillips to anyone in Pittsburgh. We couldn’t be happier with their work.

My furnace stopped working at 6:30pm Black Friday I was panicked because everyone hvac site said black Friday hours may differ “nobody working” called Carmine at Phillips heating, he was here in an hour, fixed the furnace in ten mins I HAVE HEAT!!! GREAT SERVICE!!! He is now my go to furnace dealer!! Can’t say enough!!

Had 2 companies come out one told us we needed to replace the air conditioner for $8800.00 the other company was Phillips. They were so honest and told us we only needed to replace the fan blade. I would highly recommend them.

Eric is always professional and courteous when he comes to the house to perform the twice annual maintenance. Very honest and always informs us of any issues or concerns. He has been coming to service our AC and Furnace since it was installed and we have never had an issue with any of the services. Highly recommend Phillips. Very pleased

I met this company at the Home and Garden Show in Pittsburgh. The man I spoke with was very polite and offered to take a look at everything for free (our AC unit was almost 20 years old when we bought our home last year). Then, COVID happened. Mark Russell kept us in the loop and scheduled our appointment as soon as it was safe to do so. When Mark came to our house, he was very professional and really explained everything we needed to do, and he sent us estimates the very next day. He answered all of my questions very quickly and even let me know they had 0% interest financing through Dollar Bank and provided me with all the information needed to complete our project. The day of the project, Mark came back to our house with Nate and Bill. Nate and Bill were wonderful! They would give us updates throughout the project and were extremely professional throughout the experience. They installed our AC unit over a month ago, and I wanted to wait until we've used it a few times before writing a review. I could not be happier with my decision to choose Phillips Heating and Air Conditioning for our AC installation! Huge thank you to Mark, Nate, and Bill!

I like phillips. But right now they were here in july to repair my air conditioning unit. It was just short of being five years old so it fell under warranty. Now it's just a couple of months later.And the same apart needed replaced again only this time.It cost me $309.00 to repair. Because after five years labor is not covered. But it was only a few months old So I guess once that labor So I guess if there's an issue with this air conditioner again I will not be covered. Kind of makes me mad that I have to pay again when it's only a couple of months old.

We contacted Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning because we had to have our furnace replaced. Lisa promptly scheduled an appointment for us with Jim Phillips. We met with Jim to discuss the best option for our needs. The high efficiency furnace we chose was ordered, and we received a phone call from Kevin to schedule the installation. Within two weeks, our new furnace was installed by Ed and Bill. They did a fabulous job. They removed our old furnance and replaced the new furnace in one day. Everything looked great, and they left our basement in a clean condition. Ed and Bill were very efficient and knowledgeable regarding this installation. I want to thank Lisa for her outstanding Customer Service. She is very sweet. I called Phillips on a Saturday during January when my furnace went out and they talked me thru the issue via the telephone and it worked. Because of the great service I received, I then signed up to extend my warranty with them. They followed up with a service call, ordered my part and installed it in such a timely fashion. I would recommend them to ALL OF YOU. John and Kevin are great as well. Both are very friendly and professional. Keep up the GREAT WORK.

Excellent heating and air conditioning company. For once I had a company come in and do exactly what I requested. They did not try to upsell me. I've Wahl heating the last several years and every time they come in they suggest thousands of dollars of additional up charges. Most the time here they spend filling out forms to up sell me things I did not need right now rather than just getting the work done and leaving. Wahl said I needed a water heater many years ago and it's still functioning well now. Highly recommend Phillips. They were outstanding!
