We recently had a septic tank inspected by another company and it did not pass. That company put a new tank in but failed to get the proper permits with the county. Trying to get a newly installed tank (with improper permitting) appropriately inspected and approved by the county is a nightmare. We were eventually referred to Shawn with Rio Grande Septic. He went beyond the call of duty by walking us step-by-step through the issues and interfacing directly with the county (multiple, multiple phone calls). We are greatly appreciative of Shawn's expertise and Rio Grande's attentiveness to our situation. Highly recommend them.

Lu in the office was super helpful. Sean and his crew were so professional. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up what could have been a collosal mess. The final results were amazing. They even put up the fence they had to take down and per the contract, didn't have to. Highly recommend this awesome company!!

We had a major worry with our backyard being rooted up, and RGS has been caring for our septic system for 3 years- Sean came right out to help us. We thank him and RGS for their support and quick response.

A little over 2 yrs ago they came out and pumped our septic tank, but it just backed up last night, so we got somebody else (Albuquerque Septic Services) and he found a build up plug that had obviously taken way more than 2 yrs to build up, so Rio Grande had not done a thorough job cleaning the line from the house to the tank, or that build up could not have happened that fast, as there's only 2 of us, and we travel a lot! My wife remembers the Rio Grande guy spending more time on his phone than taking care of business!

Please do not make the mistake of using Rio Grande Septic. They completely destroyed my back yard when they installed my septic tank . They never told me to move anything on my yard that might be in the way for them. Rio Grande Septic came in and totally left a mess in my back yard from ruining my trees that where no where near the area , broke my drip system lines, moved a big bolder rock on to my grass and left it there , they never moved it back into place after the owner Shawn Said he would send he’s guys to move it back. Shawn is very unprofessional. He is the one that should make things right for you not make things worse. They also removed my entire fence and broke it, after trying to ask the owner Shawn very kindly to come to our house to come to a happy medium to resolve all the issues he bullied us and harassed us numerous times . So sad that his employees are more professional than him.

Thank you all so much for coming out to our home on emergency. Our septic decided to back-up on a Saturday morning and Rio Grande Septic was there right away to save us from that nightmare. THANK YOU!! Definitely recommend!!

No one wants to talk about this kind of thing, but when you have to, these guys are great. Very friendly, show up on time, and are very reasonably priced. I have used them for years. They make scheduling easy, they even find the top of the septic, if you don't remember where it is.

Today is our first time using Doug's septic cleaning service. We are very very very satisfied with his service: Doug is super knowledgeable and professional. He explained how the whole system works and told us which part needs to pay more attention to in the future. I will keep using his service until he retires!!! Thank you, Doug!!!

We needed a quick pump of our system due to an operating issue. They were extremely quick to respond and help out. Their knowledge of the system was exceptional and they spent extra time cleaning the system and figuring out the operating issue. Our previous contractor was not nearly as thorough, and there is no way they would have either expressed concerns to me or stuck around to figure out the problem. In the end, I couldn’t be happier with the results or professionalism of DL Atkinson!
