Mohawk Renovations did an AMAZING job remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. It was more than I could have dreamed of. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. Very professional and respectful. Jake Leannah has a true vision and passion with anything you throw his way.

I recently worked with Refreshing Renovations for several updates in my home, including new countertops, a backsplash, new fans throughout, and updated light fixtures—and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Everything turned out beautifully, and the attention to detail really shows.

Here's the text from Chris, the owner of the place. When I asked him for 30 min to finish my meeting, after him not showing up on time and giving me a text 10 min before his visit. This is after 2 weeks of waiting...

"Im sorry. I can't do a 30min window. Everyone gets a 3hr window because i have entire days worth if estimates. I don't know how long each will take, nor can i predict traffic. If i gave you a 30min window, I'd almost certainly miss it. If you can't agree to a 3hr window like kelly offered multiple times, and like hundreds, if not thousands, of people have agreed to over the years, i don't think we can do business. Good luck to you though"

Anyways, I'm thankful it didn't happen as I realized their prices are exorbitantly high.

I hired Refreshing Renovations to remodel the bathroom at my Mom's house. Chris gave me a detailed estimate. Chris and Erik helped me order the materials then schedule the work. Tom and Mike came to my Mom's house as scheduled and did an excellent job remodeling her bathroom. Since it is the only bathroom in the house, they worked for 7 straight days to minimize the disruption, and they made sure the toilet and sink remained in usable shape during the construction so that my elderly Mom could use it. I would hire Refreshing Renovations again for any home repair or remodel project.

Their handymen make fast work of your home repairs! Most companies don’t want to help with small jobs but Refreshing Renovations will! I highly recommend them for your home repairs and Honey-do lists!

Refreshing Renovations removed the deteriorated linoleum flooring and replaced the suspended ceiling in a small basement area. I really appreciate that they were willing to complete this small but somewhat complicated project. The fact that they did it on a very tight schedule was definitely a 5 star performance!

Refreshing Renovations replaced the sub-floor on my covered front porch and installed tongue & groove composite decking. The front porch is over a crawlspace that is accessible from my basement. Everything looks great thanks to the work of Pete who installed the deck.

But 20 months after it was installed, I noticed that water was getting into the crawlspace when it rains. I rarely go into the crawlspace, so I did not notice the water until then. I contacted Chris from Refreshing Renovations and he said that the work was beyond the 1 year warranty and there was nothing he was obligated to do to address the issue. Though he did offer to come out and provide a new quote to fix the issues that he caused when he installed the deck!

I asked Chris if he installed flashing between the porch deck and the house when he replaced the sub-floor because I could see a gap from inside the crawlspace and that is where the water was coming in. I never had water in the crawlspace before Refreshing Renovations updated the deck. Over a few exchanges, Chris acknowledged in email that he did not think of adding flashing to the deck. He even said in his email that “There was no mention of flashing at the time though since, as I said, where it would go has 10’ of overhang preventing it from getting wet so it was not thought of.” Chris never thought that a client would want to power wash the deck or that rain can get into a porch even with an overhang? Do you really trust this guy to design your project and think through contingencies?!

My advice to anyone looking into Refreshing Renovations – There are a lot of good contractors out there, why go with one that (1) openly acknowledges that he didn’t think to add in an element that would improve the project and (2), once he acknowledges this, he does not take the proper steps to correct it?

So now I have a deck that will last 30+ years but I get water in the crawlspace each time it rains and I never had the issue before Refreshing Renovations did the work. I will not be able to ever power wash the deck because that will also lead to water in the crawlspace. The condition of my home is now worse after Refreshing Renovations did their work, and they are refusing to fix their mistakes.

If you look through the reviews, you will see some nice comments. But you should partner with a contractor that will deliver good work AND stands behind their work if they acknowledge that the project could have been built in a way that would have helped reduce the chances for issues like this.

Do yourself a favor -- skip Refreshing Renovations and find another contractor that has real integrity.

Refreshing Renovations helped us with several smaller house projects that most companies don't want to handle. They finished the projects exactly as they said they would - with excellent attention to detail, on time, and on budget.

Chris and his team do excellent work. Their communication is very good and Chris really puts a ton of effort into his quotes / estimates which really helps to make sure that you’re getting done what was quoted. He also provides specific SKU #’s which I thought was extremely helpful.

They are able to handle a multitude of handyman-type tasks, so it's a great initial call if you have projects that you need completed but you're not sure where to start. Chris is great to work with and will talk you through the process as well as help analyze any issues that might be causing deeper problems. Definitely recommend!

Needed to do a bathroom refresh (drywall repair and paint, new lights and electrical modifications, some changes to the shower area to make it more waterproof). Chris was very thorough in his estimating, the communication about scheduling was very good, and the crew did phenomenal work in the timeframe originally projected. You can't ask for more. Highly recommend!

We hired Refreshing Renovations to replace some rotted out posts and framing holding our front door awning. I don’t have anything but good things to say. They were friendly and communicative. I thought the price was fair. The work completed exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again for future projects.

I recently used the services through Home Depot to recommend a vendor to replace the ceiling fan. I rated my quality of service based on three things.
My experience with the office was phenomenal. They were professional and courteous and worked with my schedule.

The project manager that came on site to evaluate the work, really took his Time in evaluating to the job. I have very high ceilings, and it took some effort and figuring out What’s the best way to go about it.

Lastly the electricians that came on site and did the work, courteous professional, and took great pride in their work. I absolutely love the results.

I thought the company was fairly priced for the work that they completed in My Home. For me personally, I would highly recommend a company like this.

We had some framing and drywall done in a basement room and a new exterior door slab installed. Also had vinyl flooring installed and the basement floor prepped / leveled. Excellent service and communication from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Chris and team did a great job in terms of communication, explaining what my.repair/ replace options were for old downspouts. Easy to schedule the work and pay invoice online- best of all, they arrived and completed the job on time as scheduled !

Refreshing Renovations did partial kitchen remodeling work for us; replacing a (lower) wall of cabinetry, a sink and appliances, and we're very pleased with the outcome. Chris R. did a great job of estimating and his workmen were extremely competent and were able to overcome a few surprises mid-way through the project. Good estimating, communications, craftmanship, value-for-money and follow-up. I definitely recommend them.
