I do not recommend this company to anyone. After interviewing several general contractors, I hired Edison to remodel my condo in 2023. One month prior to the remodel there was a walk-through with the project manager and foreman where we went over the work order. In addition, I prepared detailed room-by-room instructions in English and gave them to the project manager. After sticking around for ten days to make sure things were going OK, I went on vacation for 5 weeks while they worked, staying in communication the whole time. When I returned, I found more than a dozen failures to follow my instructions, some of them major. The worst was that the wrong paint colors were used. My interior trim was painted an ugly pink/beige hue using a “custom color manual match” that was never cleared with me per the contract and completely ignored my written painting instructions. When I saw the project manager after returning, he insisted that I was the one who had chosen the paint colors. I had to show him the labels on the cans which proved otherwise. The mistakes made by the crew appeared to be due to a lack of communication between the project manager, who didn’t seem to be around the jobsite very much, and his workers, who didn’t speak English. It also appeared to me that the project manager was working other jobs for Edison at the same time, although he denied this.
On top of all that, the workers destroyed my 30-year-old powder room vanity cabinet in the process of removing its tile countertop. I chose to do this after touring an identical condo for sale near mine that had all four of its tile countertops replaced over these same cabinets. In a hurry to finish on time, Edison offered to build me a new cabinet “just like it” in a day. I knew this was impossible because I had looked for cabinets like mine for years; they were built-to-order custom cabinets with hinges that were no longer made. Instead, I ordered a new vanity cabinet at my expense, resulting in a project delay they blamed on me. As compensation for my complaints about the paint, etc., the project manager agreed to take a slightly smaller final payment in exchange for having the workers come back and “finish everything”. I made the final payment in advance of the work as they required, which brought the total of payments to nearly $150,000. Simply outrageous for a 2 BR condo considering I didn’t remodel the tub or shower. Now, six months later, the promise to “finish everything” has amounted to installing just the new cabinet and countertop, and leaving the remaining plumbing, electrical, baseboards, and painting to me. This along with the multiple other items in the work order they never addressed in the first place, and electrical problems they created that I will have to hire someone to fix.
This is not a five-star company. They charge you in advance, and good luck getting them to do the work you paid for. They do not deserve your money or your trust.

What wonderful customer service! I spoke with a gentleman about a kitchen remodel and he gave me lots of helpful advice without trying to pressure me. In a world were everything is so impersonal, I really felt like he cared about my project! Who knew there were so many options for kitchen cabinets! I realize that I have some homework to do but when I'm ready I'll definitely be going with Edison!

I’ve spoken to quite a few different home improvement companies in the area and Edison home improvement has proven to be the absolutely best.
Scott showed up on time and was extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of my home. He’s been attentive and kind throughout this whole process and especially patient with me through everything. He’s shown genuine interest in my projects and I greatly appreciate his devotion to his craft.

Edison Home Improvement remodeled our living room, enlarged two of our windows and painted the interior and parts of exterior of the house. The first day that Jay (our project manager) arrived at our house to discuss the project/estimate, he took out his notebook and started sketching the design of the living room wall based on what we discussed. At the time, I was discussing the project with several contractors and Jay was the only one that that truly showed an interest in making my vision a reality. Jay also has a background in design/architecture/art! The team did an amazing job of completing all aspects of the project with perfect attention to the details. I highly recommend Edison Home Improvement for renovation projects.

Thank you, Jay and team, for the A+ job! You guys are super starts!

We completed a remodel with Edison in 2022 and were pleased with the overall work. We have had a few adjustments here and there and then had issues with our floors which have remained unresolved. In April of this year the team came out and replaced the entire living room floor because it was installed wrong. I was here the day they originally installed it and the sub didn't know what he was doing. He didn't level or seal the floor before laying the planks. I asked about this and was told it was fine and accepted that answer. The floor began buckling earlier this year and they came out to replace a few planks. They soon realized there was moisture under the flooring and had to tear out the entire floor and replace it. They had done a full home replumb so the moisture couldn't have come from pipes. The job was done so badly and we asked for a second opinion flooring person to make it right. There is still blue tape on my floors. Areas of unevenly laid planks, glue sealant, even a few loose planks and a cracked one not to mention one discoloration and an uneven entry between the hall and living room. We are so disappointed. We had a great experience with our remodel until this! And I am worried what else may turn up!

I have been calling and emailing the office almost weekly on our floors and have never heard a response since July 30! I was told a second opinion would come out and they would fix the issues. I never received that second opinion or followup on the second opinion. Our floors are still not right. There are chips, glue and loose planks. Still baseboard that were never repaired. Can someone please call me or contact me back ASAP! We just want to resolve this please. I made a list of every outreach we have done via email, call, text with no response.

We purchased a home about a year ago and quickly realized that it would be easier to remove the wallpaper/things we didn’t like and paint before we moved in. We found Edison Home Improvement and had an amazing experience. Avi (our project manager) was super communicative and friendly, coordinating a pretty intense workload in a short amount of time. We decided to continue working with them to update the bathrooms in the home and I could not be happier with the decision. Would highly recommend Avi & Edison Home Improvement for whatever you need done!

Just finished a kitchen model with Edison Home Improvement I was extremely happy and satisfied with their customer service. Project was completed on time as promised and the crew was very professional at all times. I got full support and help with selecting the materials and the schedule of the project was always very clear. The crew was always polite to me and my wife we really enjoyed working with Edison Home Improvement and would gladly recommend them for anyone that would like a good kitchen remodel experience.

The absolute worst experience we’ve ever had. Here’s the finished product. They don’t return calls, workers are very kind but undocumented, didnt speak English and were not certified. Edison refused to make it right after multiple calls and complaints. This little project took over 9 months and look at it. Save yourself the grief, DO NOT let them touch your project! (We were told these doors were wood. It’s particle board).

If you want the worst possible experience. Hire this company, otherwise run! Mike and Edison are highly Incompetent and cannot be trusted with any major renovations.

Their subcontracts are dishonest and unqualified and not licensed.

It has been a full year since our remodel and I continue to be amazing by their incompetence. During the renovation they had 0 for-thought to check for asbestos in a 60's home which lead to a 2 week delay on day 1 of demo even though I asked them if the age of the home would pose any risk and should we test for hazardous materials. (The told me not to worry). They did not submit the permit paperwork promptly to remove a wall. While doing the upstairs kitchen remodel they flooded our downstairs bedroom and laundry room, not once but TWICE. Then attempted to hide the fact that they didn’t remove and replace the drywall THAT WAS DAMAGED FROM THE FLOOD. This is just a few issues when literally everything they touched was a disaster. We were constantly gaslighted and lied to throughout the entire process. We asked them to leave before the project was even finished due to their dishonesty, lack of “professionals” hired to do the project and shoddy workmanship. Now a year later our oven hood is leaking water from the rain due to their incompetence of venting and properly sealing the roof.

Further after all the flooring was finally laid, the walls were painted, backsplash complete. They went to install the new Stove and oven only to discover they did not run the correct electrical to cover the voltage needed.

    Pictured below.
    Shoddy finishing on baseboards
    Flooring not properly installed
Cabinets were not installed properly which retailed in my China crashing and breaking.
The cabinet color black was different between cabinets and they installed the wrong layout.
    Cracked tiles installed
Water leaking from the flood when they did not turn the water valve to the house off
    And dented dishwasher.

We hired JMP Home Improvement for a few small projects in our townhouse. It was a little last minute but he was very available, very responsive, and very nice. We are not on site so he was very understanding, cooperative with pictures and explanations. All the repairs were done very quickly which helped us so much. He is skilled in a lot of different things so we didn't have to ask anyone else, he repaired everything. Highly recommended!!

I needed some handy work done prior to the selling of my home. I took a chance on JMP Home Improvement and I'm very glad I did. John is a great guy and the work performed could not have been better. After the one off job that I needed, I called JMP Home Improvement for several more jobs - even after the selling of my house in my new surroundings. If you are looking for precise and professional work - then look no further. JMP Home Improvement should be your first and last stop in that search. Highly Recommend.

The certified experts at CROSS are friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend trusting your luxury remodeling project to Craig Scott of CROSS.

The owner Craig Scott cares very little for his employees, no matter how dedicated or talented they are. If you can get the worker to work on the side you'd be better off and save a lot of money.
