Purchased 2 ductless mini splits from Prime Heating and Cooling for 2 of my bedrooms. Tyler Steiner impressed me with his knowledge taking the time to answer all my questions and explaining how both installations would go. Prime also saved me a considerable amount of money. It is important to note that out of the 3 companies that came over, Prime was the only company that recommended the placement of the units inside that would not only esthetically look the best but also recommended that the outside wiring and tubing be lined up with one covering going down to the condenser unlike the other proposals that had wires and tubing coming down the front of my home and also on the side. Once again Prime was also the only company that recommended bracketing the condenser to the side of my house. The condenser being off the ground will prevent critters from possibly causing damage.
I would recommend using Prime for any new purchases or servicing your existing heating or cooling needs. -
Mike is very thorough, very knowledgeable and seems to enjoy what he is doing. He is very friendly and still remain professional. We are happy with the Service. Thank you.

I’ve waited a long time to leave a review and finally decided it was time. The initial estimate and install of a complete central AC unit went fine. All the duct work, thermostat and Central AC unit. All in all it was somewhere in the $9000 range, I’d have to look up exactly. Anyway, the initial time went fine-ish. Timing wasn’t as punctual as I would’ve like and communication wasn’t the best. After the install was done, service, responses and any communication basically came to a halt. I’d follow up every few days, trying not to be “that guy” and haunt them. But as summer rolled on and it wasn’t cooling as it should the texts and call were more frequent. They’d either not show for the appt, after hounding for one, or reschedule it. After months they finally came back and fixed it. After that I switched companies. This was so disheartening to me bc I wanted to support them with their new company and frankly have a go to, small family owned “AC guy” until I was old. I like supporting the local and the small but they got to keep up their end of bargain. I won’t be using them or recommending them, sadly.

My furnace’s water pump broke and Prime Heating was same-day responsive and excellent to work with throughout, I highly recommend the company (Rachel and technician Gabe in particular). Great service and fair prices.

Prime had installed our split duct ac/heating unit and have been to the house several times to inspect and clean our main furnace and split duct. We were very pleased with the price of the unit as well as the reliability, helpfulness and politeness of Prime’s staff.

Came out quickly, technician (Isaiah) explained everything he was doing, was friendly and courteous. Would 100% call again. Prices were reasonable.

I was pretty excited to get an HVAC system in my home. I had been manually putting ACs in windows every spring and using my radiators each fall-winter up until then. The new system cost ~$40K, which is a significant portion of my annual salary and would have been cost prohibitive if I did not have savings and a loan. My house was getting major upgrades at the time, so it was kind of a now or never deal while a lot of the insides were exposed.
Things that went wrong:
1. Delays. I got a call in late fall asking if I could delay my installation so people without heat could get power. At the time, I was staying with my boyfriend and thought, “I should help people who are cold.” Mistake. They did not install the HVAC system for another 6 weeks, delaying my entire renovation and costing me additional money and time away from home. In reality, they opted to get new business without hiring the staff they needed to keep up with demand to my personal and financial detriment.
2. Installation. The day the installation was complete, the technicians left before showing me how to operate it. If there was a simple thermostat to operate the system, that would have been fine. In reality, only one of the zones (areas in the house) was linked into a thermostat. All other units required an additional sensor and an app called “Comfort”. I asked if the units could be hooked up to a regular, manually thermostat and was told “no, you can only use this app”. This was infuriating, as I’ve never been sold an appliance or utility that requires an app to function. Regardless, I downloaded the app. It took over two hours with technical support (after I tried to set it up manually for two days previously) to get the zones working. Once operating, the units worked great - you individually program each of them.
3. Power outages. I recently had a power outage that happened to create a power surge to my WiFi, requiring me to get a new router. I was able to get power restored fairly quickly, but the comfort app and the “zones” were offline for the three days before I had the internet fixed. This meant that I had 3 days without heat in winter. There was no way around it, as I had no manual way to turn the units on. Today, I have WiFi on but the “zones” will not connect and come online. This means they cannot sense the temperature and I am unable to determine the temperature in my house. I am embarrassed to write this article and say I bought a finicky ~$40K HVAC system that is not guaranteed to keep me warm in the winter. I am furious that the people who quoted the system and installed it never thought to mention that my heat would fully be dependent on my ability to connect these systems to WiFi effectively. -
Great techs for healing and cooling repairs and maintenance. Prime has also done numerous installs for my clients and we're very competitive with their pricing while still providing great service.

Very fast response to a no heat problem. The technician, Mike, is very knowledgeable and got our heat back on promptly. Great job! Highly recommended.

They were on time and professional. They didn't leave until I was completely satisfied. We run an assisted living, we asked if we could do a year contract for service. We agreed on a 5 year deal that will meet our needs completely. Highly recommend!

We’ve had zone heating problems for the past eight years. Our technician was amazing, quickly solved the problem and did a great job explaining what was going on. So happy to finally have heat that works well!!!

Navigating an issue from Florida during the blizzard for my daughter in RI was stressful to say the least! She had no heat and the response from the office staff as well as the technician was impeccable. The issue was resolved right away and she was nice and cozy again! Thank you, thank you!!🙏🏻

The service was good and efficient once the tech actually came today (Wednesday). I had been given a four-hour window for the arrival of a tech on Monday. When no one had arrived more than an hour after that time window, I contacted the company. I was told the tech was held up at another job because of a heat emergency and we would need to reschedule. While I understand that emergencies happen, it really would have been helpful if the company had called me earlier to let me know. That way I could have gotten on with my day.

I would like to commend Technician Mike Amaral. What a pleasure to deal with. Very courteous, well mannered, polite and so knowledgeable with HVAC. Prime Heating should consider him a true asset to their company. Thanks Mike for your service. Thank you Prime Heating for sending him to clean and service my boiler. The Best!!!!

Prime came out the 2nd day of the recent blizzard and got my furnace running. They came the following day with new parts. I can't say enough of the service and friendliness of James Watson and Rachelle. Their response was amazing.
