We were in a real pinch ahead of this big storm as our furnace had stopped working. SOS came out and while they didn't have the part we needed, they did refer us to someone who was able to come out and get our heat on in a few hours. Most places would just say 'sorry' and be on their way. Appreciate that they got us where we needed to be.

Jose and the Jacobs were fantastic to work with. Obviously having an issue in the first place is no fun, but they were quick and straightforward. They also are very clearly knowledgeable and made a few suggestions that have improved our quality of life (at least with respect to our plumbing).

We have been using SOS plumbing for a while now they service all four of our commercial boilers recently they had to come out for emergency service. It’s great having a company that stocks all of their vehicles so they have the components needed on a late night service visit and they can get the systems going on a moments notice. We have used plenty of other companies and I think that we have found our one. Don’t call anyone else. Call these guys!! 😊💕💕

Our water heater died late in the day on a Saturday and Jacob came to our rescue quickly diagnosed the issue and had us back up and running by early evening. Very professional and polite.

I woke up yesterday morning snow storm coming and my furnace wasn't working. I called several plumbing services couldn't help for 2 or 3 days. Called SOS spoke to Jacob explained situation. He said I will be there in 2 hours and he was. Furnace could not be fixed said he could put one in the next day which is today. They came today at 11 put in the new furnace I have heat again

SOS Plumbing is fantastic. We called because our tub would not drain. We were given a timeframe of 8am to noon. They arrived at 9:30am and were done by 10:15am. They were very nice and professional. They worked neatly and even wiped out the tub after it drained

I never write reviews, but after seeing all the great ones here, I felt inclined to share my own.

I’ve managed multifamily properties for years, so I’m often in need of reliable plumbers for all sorts of jobs big and small —I’ve seen it all. These guys came highly recommended by a trusted source.

That said, this experience truly baffled me. The total time spent “on the job in the bathroom was less than 15 minutes tracked - to replace a part leading to the shower head — yes, the shower head — and the bill came to almost $500. I understand there was travel time involved to pick up the part, and that as they said “plumbing is expensive” but even so, that was a wild price for a simple job.

Was also told the part was going to be one price and on the invoice it was +60 then what was told.

Listen, I’m sure they do phenomenal work and it’s clear they do with these reviews - I’ll never doubt someone’s craft. However, It changes for me personally when you know as a customer you’re clearly getting taken advantage of. So for me, I’ll continue to take my business elsewhere.

Editing to clarify that no fees were “clearly communicated” on my booking call. I booked anyways because again, it was a referral - I did however take it upon myself to review and familiarize myself with the prices on the website. But that’s not even the miss. The time was 15 minutes according to time in and out the ring doorbell but maybe you calculate differently for invoicing purposes not sure there. Others seem to be having the same problem from a customer service perspective so felt inclined to edit and share.

Adam & Matt were both very professional and very polite. They cleaned everything up perfectly… I would never hesitate to call SOS again… thank you for respecting both me and my property while you were here…. Much appreciated..,

We recently hired this company to service our oil boiler after the system stopped working and we noticed smoke in the house. When we called, they initially said their only availability was after hours, but they tried to move things around—and the next thing I knew, they were here the same day.

They worked on our system until around 7 PM and still charged us regular rates, which we really appreciated. Everything has been working great ever since.

We’re looking forward to working with Jacob and Jacob—yes, that’s right, two technicians with the same name. Kinda funny and definitely memorable.

Nate and Gio came out after 10 PM to the worst conditions to fix a burst pipe under a crawl space blocked with snow. They had it fixed within an hour and answered my many questions professionally. They never once complained about the horrible conditions and made me feel comfortable and in good hands. I really appreciate their knowledge but most important how they didn't bat an eye at what the job entailed. They just got down to business. Most people would have not been happy to do that job!

I chose SOS because I did a Google AI search and asked to have the best reviews in Rhode Island. Save what you will about AI, but Google nailed it this time. They were responsive, professional, let me know about the cost upfront, and on the coldest day of the winter, they showed up within two hours of my phone call. It ends up that I had a bad valve leading to my boiler, which caused the whole system to shut down. They pleasantly fixed it, took them under two hours, And immediately contacted me when it was done. I couldn’t be happier.

As a company that regularly brings in plumbing subs, reliability matters — and SOS delivers. As an emergency restoration company we need quick responses, professionalism on site and dependability, Jacob and his team are all that and more. The other side of the business is reconstruction and whatever can go wrong usually will, we've never had a call back for SOS which is welcome in this "unplanned renovation" type of business. Woke up to no heat and no hot water in freezing temps 😩 and SOS Plumbing literally saved the day. They came out the same day, and their text updates made it easy to know exactly when help was arriving.

Jacob (the owner) and Jose are genuinely kind and trustworthy, Gabby was super patient and helpful on the phone, and Nate showed up on a freezing Saturday and fixed everything like a champ. Seriously cannot thank him enough.

Long story short, we have a house built in 1959 on a slab, still on well water that's never been softened. "Oh, your house is so cool," people say. Try living with it when something goes wrong!
We've used SOS twice: once, for an emergency where hot water was blowing out of a mineral-corroded pipe in the kitchen. Worth every penny. And again today (nonemergency) when we realized that the pipe leading from the well pump to the expansion tank was leaking. The guys are nice, professional, explain what's up and are so timely. They text, they respond, and they're AWESOME. They even gussied up some prior hack work while fixing the leak.

Honestly the best. I was not so smart and went with a cheaper company who totally botched our furnace installation. Ended up having it removed and S.O.S took care of installing another boiler the right way. Even if they are a little more $$$ it's totally worth it. Reliable, knowledgable, good communication.

Our boiler was not only fixed and serviced correctly, but we were provided consistent updates of what needed to be repaired or what was wrong. Jacob and Jose were wonderful. We plan on continuing to use SOS.
