This Company is awesome. Eddie is very professional and knowledgeable about everything pertaining to a remodel. I had Retro Foam come spray a whole ceiling to help with noise control and they were great. They are quick and efficient and you wouldn't even know they had been there when they left. I highly recommend Retro Foam.

Over the past 2 summers I've been battling whether my AC unit couldn't produce enough cold air or if my house couldn't hold the cold air. Last summer I went into the attic and blew in additional insulation on top of what I already had and saw little change. My outer walls had only a vapor barrier so I decided to pull the trigger on RetroFoam and I'm already seeing immediate results. I didn't realize but you can lose up to 35% of the energy in your house out of your walls. Today the outside temperature is only 71 but I have no shade on my house so it's always been warm. The day after installation I am physically shivering because my house is actually holding cold air! I couldn't be happier!

I can't recommend RetroFoam and their crew enough. They were very thorough about how the process would work and even customized their work plan to ensure that I had minimal patching afterwards. (I decided to go through the back of my cabinets in my kitchen opposed to my outer wall since it was on a porch) The process started with Eddie who did not pressure me at all. He simply came out to my house, had a look around, asked a few questions and gave me his assessment. In fact, it was so low pressure that I followed up with him a year later to decide to move forward. The crew that came out (Nate, George, Austin, Travis and Robert) was a pleasure to work with, very well mannered and ensured that the job was done correctly. Asking my opinion on multiple items before continuing just to ensure it was done how I wanted it done. I can tell this is 100% going to pay for itself over time.

It was a struggle to cool our upstairs bonus room area due to our attic, bonus room, and the adjacent storage room having inadequate and in some places no insulation. When calling RetroFoam of East Tennessee for an estimate, Eddie talked with me for some time about our home before coming for an in home visit a couple of days later. He told us his recommendations (both RetroFoam and open cell spray foam) and answered our questions. The installation crew (George, Matt, and Travis) started their work less than two weeks later and they were obviously well prepared before their arrival from the pictures that Eddie had shared with them beforehand. It took them three days to complete the work as Eddie had predicted due to the many tight spaces to be navigated. They went to great lengths to protect our home and they cleaned up everything very well afterwards. I would highly recommend them to others needing insulation work.

Look elsewhere for your foam insulation needs. I reached out for an estimate using his online request form. Because of my work environment/demand (work at the airport) I explained I could not talk on the phone (too loud to hear), but could reply via text or email as time permitted. Eddie replied via email stating he wouldn't do an estimate without first speaking with me, which is fine, but approximately an hour later he sent another email stating the following: "I'm not sure exactly why ….but I’m just not interested in investing the time to help you estimate your project. I simply predict that you won’t hire us either way. Gut feeling …. Eddie".
Lack of patience and understanding in an email for an estimate? Can't imagine how he'd be to try and actually work with in person. Most people seek a few estimates before making a decision on whom to work with. At least Eddie made it easier for me. There's more professional options available.

We were looking to have our garage ceiling and walls insulated. Eddie came out and explained what RetroFoam could do. He was professional, polite, and answered all our questions. The installers came out and did a great job, including cleaning up well. The product works well for us as the rooms behind the garage wall and the room above the garage are now comparable in temperature to the rest of the house. We would recommend and use them again.

We recently had sold Retrofoam fill our upstairs walks with foam insulation. I cannot believe the difference it made immediately. We purchased our home 9 years and it was built in 1952. None of our exterior walls had any insulation in them, which caused our HVAC unit to constantly struggle to keep up with the changing temperatures and required continuous maintenance on our unit as well. It was a 2 day job and the guys on the crew that came out, George, Steven, Mason, and Robert were very professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and honest. We felt safe enough to even leave them access to the inside of our home while we had to leave. After they completed the job, they cleaned up everything, and put our home back together. You honestly cannot tell that the siding was removed at all. We are looking forward to saving money on our utility bills monthly going forward, we can honestly already tell a difference. First let me say that my home was a challenge as it is a tri-level and has different exterior finishes. This didn't deter the Retrofoam crew. Work had to be performed on both interior and exterior walls. The job was completed to my satisfaction and on budget. When the work was finished all work areas were left in a clean and free of debris.

Eddie Sanford struck me as someone I could trust to do a good job. I liked his story on the website and met him before I decided which contractor to go with. I really enjoyed talking to him in his office where he shared a test he just gave his employees after a training session to improve their knowledge and performance. I chose his team to help me put my flooded out crawlspace back together. Robert, Nathan, George and Jack did a great job. All of them were polite and professional. They kept me informed and politely endured my looking over their shoulders. Robert did a great job leading the crew. Nathan was a real gentleman with excellent HVAC knowledge and George suited up on a hot day to spray foam the crawlspace walls. He took his time and did it right. Overall I was pleased with the job and had a chance to interact with Eddie on questions and thoughts I had about the job. He was very accommodating. I would recommend Retro Foam. It was a rare good experience with a contractor who did what he said he would earlier than he said he would. Thank you all.

Had Retrofoam done through Eddie and his crew. They did a great job! They removed all previous gross insulation in the attic and replaced it with Retrofoam and they filled all our exterior walls as well. We had them do the walls through the outside and you cant even tell they had siding off the house. They were very clean and prepared, they had stuff to cover the carpets and furniture if needed. Highly recommend his crew, they were very kind and trustworthy. We mainly did Retrofoam because its encapsulates the attic space (no spiders coming in now-yay) but our bill for our hvac has gone drastically down! Would highly recommend the Retrofoam product and Eddies team. Very kind people and they get the job done- and done well! Great work ethic! I will try to update in a year on how the walls are doing and such.

As of this writing, I can honestly say that I am pleased with Retrofoam and their installers. The most obvious difference we find is that our home is less drafty there by creating a more comfortable home. We live on a hilltop in Tennessee with a direct northern exposure that receives brutal northern winds. Even with all seams caulked and new weather strip and windows, our home was always chilled. With Retrofoam, that is gone. In one day, this well orchestrated crew came and did the installation and left without a trace of ever being there. Everyone on the crew was extremely pleasant and was willing to take the time to explain what was being done. A BIG thumbs up to Eddie, the owner, for his training efforts and being able to put together such a crew.

The company did exactly what they said they would do to the end. No hiccup's or delays. The product works great and we intend to use them again in the future.

Amazing work. By far the best money I've ever spent on my 30×40 garage. It's so much more comfortable to work in. The employees really cared about what I wanted.
