Constraction reviews in Knoxville, Tennessee

Southeast Restoration is the company you want to use, hands down. They hire the right people and do their work the right way.
After a water leak, we had to replace almost all of our hardwood flooring in the house. We went with Southeast Restoration on a recommendation, and could not be happier with their work. A lot of the flooring and trim is custom, and they did an excellent job matching the materials and making difficult cuts, in a lot of places better than the original. They replaced approx. 3,500 sq.ft. of hardwood flooring with multiple levels, closets, stairs and posts to cut around, replaced the custom trim, drywall, insulation, bathroom floor tile, bathtub surround tile, and painted - and it is all absolutely beautiful.
In addition to the workmanship from Travis and his team, we are especially impressed with the project management from Tyler Breeding, who graciously worked with us so we could stay in our home while the repairs were being made, coordinating and scheduling everything around us, and getting it all done timely. Tyler and Travis both are very personable and professional, and addressed every issue we had right away. We couldn't be happier with their craftsmanship, flexibility and attentiveness.
Southeast Restoration is a very successful company and I believe it's because everyone we met and spoke with is actually really good at their job - Justin Berkley, our field estimator, Joshua Lathrop, the senior project manager, Tyler Breeding, our project manager, Travis, Ira, Heather - have all been very attentive and careful in planning and working to get our house back to 100%, and we appreciate the whole team.
I would absolutely recommend Southeast Restoration. These are the guys you can trust. We are now hiring them for another job to redo our aging deck. -
Southeast Restoration just completed a total remodel of our bathroom after a major water leak. The entire Knoxville team were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Peyton, our project manager, was an excellent communicator and kept us informed of the daily schedule. The sub contractor, Otis Burke and his crew were easy to deal with and offered great suggestions. They did a great job; we love how it looks.

Southeast Restoration was a life saver! When Hurricane Helene graced East Tennessee with wind and rain, she took out a 54 year old oak tree and it fell on my parents house. The tree took out half of the house. I never knew a tree could cause that much damage! My brother and I just stared at the damage and were lost. We had no idea where to begin or who to call. Our insurance agent gave us several names and as soon as he said Southeast, my brother said that was who we were going to go with. My nephew knew several people from Southeast but worked mainly with Tyler. Everyone we worked with from the office was so nice and helpful. They helped us get started with insurance and what steps to take. When I met Tyler and he told me “it’s not that bad” , I thought he was nuts!! Tyler “held our hand” through every step. Never giving us too much at one time to overwhelm us. He either emailed, texted or called weekly with updates. The crew that worked on the house was fantastic. They never cared when I showed up and asked all sorts of questions. I was lucky enough to get to know a few them and make some new friends! If you are lucky enough to get this crew they are awesome and love donuts!
We were very fortunate to have chosen Southeast. I couldn’t have asked for nicer people, a good work ethic and quality workmanship. If I ever need anything else, I will call them first thing. The house is beautiful. Thank you Southeast, Tyler and crew!

Southeast Restoration has been awesome during our "disaster". They came quickly, cleaned up thoroughly & hauled all debris away. Dylan & his crew were caring, thoughtful & efficient. Southeast Restoration went "above & beyond" to make our lives a little easier. I would highly recommend them!
Thank you to Peyton, Tim & their sub-contractors, who came in & put up new ceilings, painted & added lights etc. We had some quality issues but everything was addressed & corrected and now is so much better than we started. -

Terrible experience with a regional manager in Florida.

Great company and great workers!

Never worked with this place but they need to train their drivers better. This guy literally cut me off so hard for no reason that I had to swerve to avoid hitting them and then they proceeded to drive so slow while they were in front of me. Very unprofessional.

Having had a cabin in Robbinsville for years I am familiar with the company, their capabilities and fine reputation. Can't say enough good about their sponsorship of the USA Cycling Nationals in Knoxville for 2017. A big thanks to you all!

Can not trust this company there word is no good.

They were hired to do storm clean up on laurel creek in Hampton, Tn. I was contacted several times to allow access across my land. I was more than willing as long as any damage was corrected. They did OK on creek, but heavy ruts cut into my land was not fixed and storm debris was not removed. I only expect for a company to do what is promosed.

Staff is disrespectful, they put listings up on Indeed and they are just like Vulcan Materials, they will never call you back. No matter how many times you call to find something out, they have a “don’t call us, we’ll call you” mentality. There is nothing special about this place, they are just a basic “mom and pop” wanna be construction company that likes to cry wolf. “Oh nooo! We need people! But we’re not gonna hire anyone!”

In 2022, we had originally renovated our kitchen using JSI cabinets purchased from a company in Knoxville that went out of business in 2023. In 2025, we decided that we wanted to add a tall pantry cabinet to match but had to contact JSI Cabinetry to see if there were any local reps. We were given the name of a well-known cabinet company and also Palm Tree Flooring, Tile and Cabinets. The sales rep at the well-known cabinetry company was absolutely not interested in helping us with a single cabinet purchase and suggested we come by the showroom in the future. We decided to call Palm Tree and were put in touch with Grace. What a world of difference! Grace loves the cabinet and design business and was excited to help us try to match our new pantry to our existing JSI cabinets. Our cabinets were 3 years old, and there was a possibility that the door style and color had been discontinued. Grace went out of her way to make sure our door style and color would match! We ordered our new pantry cabinet, picked it up at Palm Tree to limit delivery charges and added it to our kitchen. It matched flawlessly and we are very happy with our additional storage space. Grace made this experience fun and exciting and showed excellent customer service. She went above and beyond to make us happy customers!! Thank you Grace! Here's some pictures...

The owner request me to change this review from a 3 star. I think that most people would agree that it could be considered trying to cheat the ratings, but I have thought about it awhile and decided that even though the arrogant attitude we received from the lady in the front of said business, I will raise it by 1, because maybe she was just having a hard day. I will never return to this business, but I will be understanding that sometimes people can have a bad day. I don't see anymore bad reviews, so I imagine this could be true. I will also like to say the email was kind and considerate.

Great experience with Palm Tree. A contractor I was working with asked me to me him there and he never showed up (and was unprofessional throughout). After showing me some great cabinet options, I remarked on how the no-show was the last straw and I was firing the contractor, but would keep their number and samples for the next one I hired. They told me they do remodels too and I invited them in for a quote. From that point on my remodel became a series of successes. I'd spoken to so many contractors and the folks at Palm were incredibly helpful, had wonderful design ideas and went above and beyond to design customizations for my atypical requirements. They had great advice throughout the process, the workers were great, and the job came out fantastic. A kitchen, full bath, and half bath full remodel, with extensive repairs to ceilings, walls, and floors in the living room, office, and basement. Plumbing, lighting, natural gas install, appliances, sheetrock, paint, flooring, you name it and we had it done, and Palm did an excellent job with it. Victor, Grace, and all the staff were wonderful. The house is so much better thanks to the skill, service, flexibility, and suggestions of the folks at Palm. It's hard to find any contractors these days, let alone ones that are great at their craft and so pleasant to work with. Thank you so much!
