General Contractor reviews in Allen, Texas

CLR Construction completed a remodel on our home. Each room was painted and new flooring installed. Existing kitchen cabinets were kept and were painted white. Installed new lighting, appliances, sink, faucet, countertops and backsplash. Removed stone from bar area. Master bathroom work was extensive. Old jetted tub and shower were removed. Large shower with seat was put in. Old shower area turned into a linen closet. New vanity, lighting and mirrors. Work also done on our stairway. CLR also installed new lights and fans and wood blinds, door handles, drawer and cabinet pulls. All of this work was completed in about 7 weeks. CLR was very easy to work with and communicated well. Tim was very thorough with the estimate/bid process, helped us pick flooring and paints. He checked in weekly to assure all was going well. Jeremy, the project manager, was great to work with. Met us at businesses to pick out granite, tile, etc. Communicated well and kept the process flowing. I highly recommend CLR Construction for their knowledge, pricing, work experience and work ethic.

CLR remodeled our bathroom and did a wonderful job. They have a great team. Everyone was nice and professional, and our project manager was always available to answer our questions and help us. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

CLR did a wonderful job bringing our home renovation vision to life! They took down a wall, opening up our kitchen to our living room, and built a beautiful oversized island. We showed them our vision for custom mid-century kitchen cabinets, and they did exactly what we were dreaming of! Everything was done with precision and excellence, and they finished our project ahead of schedule. We are so thankful for CLR making our new home so special!

If you need any type of renovation work, these are the people to bring into your space. Tim worked tirelessly on a proposal that fit our needs and budget (we overhauled the master bath and kitchen with a couple of updates to hall baths and laundry). Tim LISTENED. He did not try to pressure us into a scope larger or different than what we had envisioned, but rather helped us plan out our wants and needs. The proposal was in minute detail with a focus on complete transparency. CLR prides themselves on honesty and quality, which they delivered on both. They did NOT nickel and dime us to death with additional work. When a small issue came up, they simply dealt with it. The majority of their team are employees. People that they hand picked for their talent and integrity. The plumbing and electrical resources are not in-house, but people they have built long term relationships with. We came to trust their team explicitly. CLR has experience in building homes from the ground up. It was comforting to know that no matter what might arise - they were prepared to handle it. Communication is a priority with them. Our Project Manager, Jeremy, literally held our hand throughout the entire process. From selecting products to what work was being done each day, he was here for us. We learned to rely heavily on his opinions and experience. Calls and texts were responded to asap. The quality - wow - we almost cannot put into words how beautiful their work is. Carla and Frankie’s tile work is simply art. Julio’s cabinetry is absolutely gorgeous. Hector and Bambi handled the painting, staining and all the small items with an attention to detail that was astonishing. Construction is always going to kick up a bit of dust, but this group focused on being as clean as possible every day, understanding that we were living in this space during the process. In the end, their cleaning crew came through and put everything back to normal. Overall, we had been dreading this needed renovation, but CLR made it virtually painless from start to finish. We now have an organized laundry room, a beautiful kitchen and a gorgeous master bath that is spa perfection. We couldn’t be more grateful to CLR for making our dream come true….and we’re already planning additional needs to have them assist us with.

Tim and Jeremy were excellent to work with throughout the entire process. Tim came in and reassured me his team would get my kitchen and bedrooms back to being even more beautiful than before after my previous contractor disappeared. I consistently received good communication throughout the process. The cabinets that Julio built are beautiful. Change orders were minimal and the team was very flexible with all requests. Overall, I am so happy with my kitchen and bedrooms and would HIGHLY recommend this crew for your next construction project.

Chris took our ideas and truly brought them to life. The attention to detail, communication, and craftsmanship were outstanding. He builds a beautiful product, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result!

Tim and Chris were fantastic in our addition. They were resolute in making sure the addition looked like the original plan of the house. Kept us informed at all times, and several times a day if necessary.Such a pleasure to work with their crew led by Cali. We changed two rooms in the interior and they had the crew to do that and any new construction or remodel and exterior changes. The quality of the work is high because they are craftsman. It is without reservation that we recommend CLR for any project from small to large.

Excellent work by Tim and team there at CLR Construction! Highly recommended! Front yard landscaped and roof replacement after major hail storm in Allen; these guys are easy to get a hold of, high quality of work, and we plan on using them in the near future for a complete backyard remodel and custom pool installation. Thanks!!

We had a wonderful experience with CLR Construction and will use them again for any remodel project. Tim and his team expanded our patio, making it look like that is how the house was built. You would never know it was an expansion! Along the way, he provided suggestions and pictures of previous projects he had done so that we had options for every little detail. They are transparent about their pricing and keep you updated with itemized cost estimates for every change you make. The project manager and the owners were communicating through the whole project and monitoring the progress very closely. I never felt like I needed to be a project manager myself. If you want a job done right the first time, call CLR Construction. You won’t regret it.

The entire CLR team did an AMAZING job building our home! From the financial aspect of the construction process, including loan and budget, they went above and beyond and paid immaculate attention to detail. From the customization standpoint of the home they brought so much value to the planning, architecture, appliances, all the way down to the cabinet knobs. They literally took care of EVERYTHING. Not only did they build our dream home in 6 months, but they helped prep and update our former home to put on the market.

This is not the first time I’ve used CLR and it most certainly wont be the last!

I worked with CLR for a smaller back patio addition to our home. From start to finish, these guys did exactly what they said they would do. They’re organized, honest, very professional and communicate well.

They completed the project through the holidays, and very cold weather and I commend them on that. Thanks again to Chris, Tim & Jeremy and the entire CLR team for everything they did to make this project a success for us. I cannot recommend them enough.

Update as of Dec 22 - Tim and the entire CLR team have well exceeded our expectations on execution. They are fast, efficient and very professional. Crews show up on time and we have not had to chase them on anything. The quality of work and materials exceeds our expectations. Tim is going out of his way to take care of even the small things! Thank you CLR for getting our house ready in time for Christmas. We highly recommend them and will not use anyone else in future.

We just started working with Tim on a project and so far he has been outstanding to communicate and coordinate with. Work has not started yet but based on what I have experienced so far, I am confident Tim and CLR will do a great job and be our preferred vendors for life. Excited to continue working with Tim and the team.

I reached out to CLR Construction to take over a kitchen remodel and laundry room update that had gone awry. Best decision I ever made. I can’t say enough good things about the quality of the job they did to my house. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were impressive. Tim and Jeremy were great to work with and always kept the communication lines open. CLR Construction gave my 40-year-old home new life and brought it into the 21st century! I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen (custom cabinets, tile, countertops, painting, lighting), updated laundry room (painted existing cabinets, countertops, lighting), and the other painted rooms (remove popcorn, painting walls and trim). It looks so good!

Don’t think twice about using CLR Construction for your renovation project. You’ll be happy you did. I know I am. I highly recommend.

I had extensive work on remodeling my backyard.
CLR Construction Group did a fantastic job, and we are extremely pleased.
Chris has great vision and ideas. Jeremy the project manager was just a pleasure to work with. Their construction team was on time every day through the entire project, and just a pleasure to deal with.
So I would definitely recommend the CLR Group for any construction project.

We had the best experience working with CLR Construction on both renovations to our existing home and a large addition. From start to finish, the entire team was exceptional. Our project manager, Cali, was incredibly attentive and consistently on top of every detail. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it, advocating for us, being involved in every small detail, and making sure the final result felt like home. Chris brought so much knowledge to the table and helped us feel confident in every decision. Tim was not only an excellent communicator, but also so kind and generous throughout the entire process - someone who truly made us feel cared for and supported.

The finished project is truly beautiful, and the craftsmanship speaks for itself. Every detail reflects the high standard they hold themselves to - thoughtful, precise, and built to last. You can tell they take genuine pride in their work, and the quality of the final result exceeded our expectations in every way.

They went above and beyond for us in countless ways, treating our home with so much care and making the process as smooth as possible. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work, professionalism, and kindness throughout the project. We would highly recommend CLR Construction to anyone looking for a team they can trust.

We selected Tim and his group for our kitchen remodel and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Communication A+, Schedule A+, Quality A+. Shout out to Jeremy (PM), Hector (RH), Grace (and her Painting crew), Julio (Cabinets), and everyone else who worked on our kitchen - Thank you! We will definitely recommend and use CLR Construction Group again!

Tim Penny and his team at CLR were wonderful to work with. They renovated three full bathrooms and made several kitchen updates, and the quality of work was outstanding. They clearly take great pride in the details.

Every person who worked in our home — from the craftsmen to leadership — was polite, respectful, and professional. Our project manager, Jeremy, was responsive and present throughout the project and handled every detail seamlessly, including coordinating with the designer. I was often working from home, and the CLR team went out of their way to be as unobtrusive as possible.

We would absolutely recommend CLR to anyone looking for high-quality work and a great overall experience.
