TruGreen specialists Sezar came out today and treated my lawn, he was very respectful and gave me recommendations on my lawn. He explained all-he was gonna do. Thank you Sezar.

TruGreen could not even get my name right. I was always Eric in their correspondence to me. I don't think they ever treated my lawn. I went out to watch him treat the yard and he was already gone after being there only a few minutes. I was not allowed to talk to the tech's supervisor and he never called me back. I give them no stars and I do believe this is a scam.

Mr. Cody does a very good job! Very nice and respectful, hope you can do my lawns from now on. God Bless You !

TruGreen Amarillo is the worst company I have ever done business with, without a doubt.

I am using TruGreen in both Amarillo and Lubbock. The guys in Lubbock run a great business, Amarillo has been a total waste of money. The product, the actual weed killer, is very effective and I would gladly pay for what this company advertises. But they DO NOT spray. The guy reported that the job was done and I was charged full price. Well he never let us know he was coming so our dog was out. I know he didn't spray with her back there so he was lying and we got charged. I have photos of the 1 square foot that he actually sprayed, literally a foot wide circle. That's where the weeds died, the entire rest of the yard was not done. Prior to that they never tested the soil as promised, not once did they ever spray the alley which I was sure to include when I hired them because weeds get bad back there. Our side yard has not been sprayed a single time. And then trying to get a hold of someone is a battle in itself.

They guy was supposed to come again today. He (for the first time) texted when he arrived and texted when he left. Those texts were less than a minute apart and he told us he couldn't spray because the dog was out again. My mother took a day off and sat by the door to watch for him and he never pulled into the driveway where the dog's gate is. Our fence metal sheeting and he couldn't see the dog from any other vantage point. So he showed up and bailed, with zero attempt to knock on her door, call her, text her or anything.

TruGreen Amarillo is perhaps the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It's a shame because their product is extremely superior to anything else.

I am very impressed with the knowledge of the service professional Angel S. , he answerd all the questions I had plus informed me of many things regarding my yard and how to take care of it. Very friendly and courteous.

This company is the worst. I bought a new home and started service with them in June. My lawn was weed free at the time. They have missed their last four service dates. No call. No show! I’ve called them repeatedly and can get no real answer as to why they no-showed. Instead they offer a discount and promise I’ll be serviced on x date. Then they no show again. My yard is being overrun by weeds and I’m afraid it might not be able to be saved.

Weeds had come back from last service. I spoke to the tech last time and he sprayed and they still came back. If y'all want me to get this service y'all need to control these weeds. Thank you

I've been using TruGreen for over a year.

The Good:

I receive notifications when they're going to be at my property and generally they have shown up when they're supposed to.

The Bad:
Not once have I ever received a call back from anyone. For example, early on I was having trouble getting connected in the app to my account but it kept attaching to an account from when I was a customer years ago and saying I wasn't a current customer. Several calls to the office and "a manager will need to call you back to fix it" but no one ever called me back.

I have weeds in my yard that weren't there when they started the service. That's not terribly unexpected, but even after speaking with them the weeds aren't addressed.

Apparently they won't touch weeds that aren't in the grass at all. I have weeds that grew up through the mulch around my trees that are now close to 2 feet tall. I choose a lawn service because I don't have time to mess with it. If I have to check their work and get out in the lawn anyway to fix what they don't, what the point?

The last straw:

I had a large strip of grass that started dying between the curb and sidewalk. Initially I thought it wasn't getting enough water and might be my sprinkler but even after adjusting the sprinkler the grass got worse. Then I noticed birds pulling up the grass and it occurred to me it might be grubs. I went out, lifted the grass, and sure enough it's infested with grubs and because so much grass has died, it's infested with weeds now as well..

Since I paid for grub treatment and the rest of my lawn was unaffected, I figured they missed a spot and should make it right by repairing the lawn. Why should I have to put down sod because they failed in their service? I called TruGreen, explained the situation, and requested they remedy the issue. They said a supervisor would be in touch, but guess what? NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME. I'm fed up and will be canceling the service.

We had a beautiful yard and lost our lawn guy. True Green killed our front strip of grass. Then when we made an appointment for them to tell us how they were going to rectify the issue they ghosted us. A friend for warned me but I didn’t listen.

They don’t show up when they say they don’t call back ever They made my yard worse then when they started. My weeds have tripled there refund policy does not exist they don’t give refunds like they say. They will offer a free service and not even show up to that. Some of there customer service gets mad and hangs up. No company had ever upset me like this one has. I would like to know we’re the 100s of bad reviews have been deleted? And only two recent ones are still up. People need to be warned.

Update: TG has worked hard to get my lawn back in shape this year and has gone above and beyond to remedy the grubs from last year. Overall our yard has nearly fully recovered. Sezar has been professional and taken great care of our yard. Thank you!

After stupidly prepaying for lawn care service provided by TruGreen Lawn Care, my yard looks worse than ever. We have invested in sprinkler repair, additional sprinkler heads, and of course weed preventative, fertilizer, aeration with TruGreen... who was supposed to apply sulphur in early April. When I realized it had not been done it was June, I contacted them numerous times and was told the same lie over and over, "We will put you on the schedule... You are scheduled ... You are cancelled . . You are scheduled, ..... " Now it's July 28th. Our yard looks horrible! Though the regular service has been done, the much needed sulphur for our clay soil, has not. When the sales rep sold us our contract in March, he assured us that the extra services of aeration $500 and the Sulphur Amendment $197 would get our yard back in the best shape and it would be greener and healthier than ever. NOT-- there is nothing TRUE here. Yes, it has been hot. Yes, we have watered 3 plus times a week. These points are mute--TruGreen did not perform paid for services and have lied to us over and over again. It's not the techs fault--he just comes with the chemical he's allowed to check out/told to get and he's been nothing but nice. It's the company and the fact that they already have my money so, so long, see ya:( From now on, we will only use a local provider that we can personally speak with about our concerns, who has direct control over the services provided-- not corporate, somewhere in the world out there, never speaking to the same person, and having no way to actually contact the local office (the local number listed goes straight to corporate). TruGreen = FALSEgreen. BTW-- just to be clear: I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The first time they came they did not check our soil as I was promised. I tried to call the number and was transferred to the main number where I left a message to b called back after waiting one hour on the phone. I never received the call back.
Next time they show up to spray and the man says they won’t spray our whole yard. We tell him we paid for the whole acre and a half to control the weeds and outside our fescue area we have Buffalo grass. They say they only spray the established grass area.
We paid all year in advance!!
We told him that if he won’t do what we paid for to leave and we will request a refund!
I called the company. Staying on hold to reach someone and was promised a call back from a manager within 48 hours. After 48 hours I call back and there are notes on our file that customer is FINE and they are remeasuring our yard.
NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME!! They promise to have them contact me TODAY - AGAIN
THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
DON’T BOTHER DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Cesar has been our lawn specialist for almost 2 years. He does a great job of making sure our questions are answered and any concerns are addressed. We have a tough yard with it being so large and he is doing a great job!

TruGreen always shows up on time and I get great and effective service with great results!

Derek G was very professional and helped me understand what I needed to do to keep my lawn taken care of for the winter months. He was very informative of the services he provided that day for my lawn. I highly recommend TruGreen and Derek G.

Travis answered my questions concerning my lawn. I will have to get an additional treatment to protect my grass, he explained why the treatment was necessary. He did a great job and was very courteous. Thanks

Jaden was very polite. He let me know when he started and suggested I keep my dog inside for at least an hour after spraying the yard. I really appreciate the kindness. He completed his job in a timely manner and I have enjoyed TrueGreen products so far.

I was very pleased with Trugreen when they came back to perform an aeration on my backyard when I had forgotten to unlock the back gate the first time they came to do it. My yard looks good thanks to Trugreen!

Stephen did a fine job!! He's a good man and a good worker.

We have the tree and shrub service. We are notified electronically for when the service is to be completed, and we get periodic updates by text to let us know when the service rep will arrive as well as electronic notices about the completion of the service. The reps have all been very courteous at each visit, and we appreciate the information that they provide about the condition of our plants and what else could help them.
