Constraction reviews in Austin, Texas

Jorge and his team were amazing to work with! So pleased with their end product. We loved living in the home they created and envisioned!

I am delighted with the modern and beautiful house built by Habitat Haus. The design is extremely stylish, and I consistently receive compliments on the aesthetic. I would unquestionably choose this developer again for any future projects. Highly recommended.

Jorge and his team exceeded expectations! Their professionalism and efficiency made the entire process seamless. I highly recommend Habitat Haus for anyone looking for a dedicated and skilled team for their projects.

Habitat Haus built my house, added an addition later on, and did an exterior overhaul after a hail storm. Excellent craftsmanship throughout and design that keeps us smiling everyday. I’ve lived in the house 4 years and everything works perfectly still.

Habitat Haus built us our house last year. The quality and materials used were off the charts. Our expectations were highly exceeded in terms of budget and quality.
We highly recommend them for any construction project.

Living next to the construction of a Habitat Haus constructed-home has been a nightmare. As the daughter of a contractor, I have a lot of respect for builders and I also know what good looks like. For the last 8 months, it's been one thing after another. The worst offense is when we came outside to discover large holes being dug on our property without permission. And then later that day, 30 ft of our fence line being torn down without so much as a conversation. The foreman simply said "it's over the property line." After months of this site's trash blowing into our yard (because they won't pay for a dumpster), and listening to their music blasting at 7am/6 days a week, the neighborhood will be thrilled to see them leave. But, it will probably be a while as we've been told they are two months late on delivery. I feel bad for the people moving into this house as they have exhausted the neighborhood's good will already.

Me and my wife recently bought a Habitat Haus home, and we could not be happier with our purchase! You can see the attention to detail throughout the house, and the modern style and finishes were exactly what we were looking for. This is such a beautiful, well designed home and we can’t wait for our family to grow and create lasting memories here.

Bought a 1950s mid century ranch remodel duplex and I love it! The floor plan is amazing for a small house - spacious living, dining and kitchen area. Great yard and the bed/bath spaces are efficient and just enough space for everything you need. The design aesthetic is very sleek and modern. Love the finishes they chose and the color scheme - lots of modern black accents with light oak floors and walnut cabinetry. They kept the exterior true to the mid century style but with updated paint, windows and doors that make it feel modern. The team was relatively easy to work with during the renovation and all the electrical, plumbing, roof, etc, are brand new. Very happy with my choice and would recommend! Their aesthetic/style is unmatched for this price point.

House is beautiful and everything feels so well thought out. Storage is abundant, no space feels overlooked or unused. Jorge has been helpful even after closing. I looked at so many houses in the Austin area and I'm really happy that I went with Habitat Haus.

We purchased our new build home from Habitat Haus a couple of years ago and we are still so pleased with our decision! The finishes in our home are beautiful and our custom cabinets really give our home the custom feel! We enjoyed working with them and would definitely recommend. We plan on reaching back out to Habitat Haus when we are ready to build our custom forever home!

We love our new home from Habitat Haus! Jorge Alzaga built our dream home in Bouldin— two stories, 4bed/2.5bath, 3 decks including a roof deck, big beautiful windows with tons of great light. And he built it all in exactly the time frame he told us, which I think might be a first in the history of builders, haha. He’s been more than patient with our many requests, going above and beyond to make sure the house met our every expectation. My husband and I wanted to build our home according to Vaastu principles, an Indian architectural science that aims to create a harmonious alignment between living spaces and natural forces. Everything aspect of the build, from the floor plan to the location of doorways, had to be designed according very particular requirements. Jorge and his architect helped us every step of the way, and the result is truly a dream come true. Strangers were regularly asking our builders if the house was for sale before it was even finished. We cannot recommend Habitat Haus highly enough!

I’ve had the opportunity of working with Habitat Haus twice now on two separate projects as the work is done so well, I can’t imagine working with anyone else! Jorge and his team are wonderful - the work is done thoroughly with great attention to detail and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They delivered within budget and were very transparent throughout the whole process, which can be rare. After meeting with several contractors and teams to discuss our projects, the choice to go with Habitat Haus was easy. They saw our vision and executed it perfectly and provided great customer experience along the way. Will definitely be a returning customer for whatever we do next!

I bought a Duplex from habit house 3 years ago. This year, they helped me upgrade multiple rooms based on my new needs. The service was prompt and with the highest quality. I strongly recommend them.

Bought a home from Habitat Haus a couple years ago. So far, there have been no major issues with the house which is credited to Jorge's high standards and focus on quality. Too many builders focus on building as many homes as possible only to sacrifice on the integrity of the build. In contrast, Habitat Haus is committed to quality craftsmanship.

The first home we ever purchased was built by Habitat Haus and we couldn't be happier with the results! Jorge and his team displayed exceptional professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to ensure an outstanding result.

We put our house under contract months before it was complete, which did not change anything as Jorge kept working on it as if it was his own. Jorge and his team's dedication to making our home truly elegant was remarkable. During construction, we were kept well-informed, and any questions or concerns were promptly addressed.

We highly recommend Habitat House to anyone looking to build a custom home. Their expertise, taste and construction skills are unmatched. Thank you, Jorge, for building what will always remain our first home!

Quality craftsmanship, high-end finishes, good communication throughout the process; all things that add up to a great experience when buying a home from Habitat Haus.

Jorge and his team are also attentive to questions and/or concerns after-the-sale. He was happy to share contractor details so that I could have some things tweaked by the people who originally installed them, and he also proactively reached out ahead of the last freeze to remind us to drip the faucets.

It's been a good experience so far and I'd recommend Habitat Haus to others who are looking to buy.

Habitat Haus stands out for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Their attention to detail is evident in every aspect of their designs, from the choice of materials to the thoughtful layout of each space. It’s clear they put a lot of care into making sure every detail is well thought through for the owner.

Their unique designs are truly inspiring, blending functionality with beautiful aesthetics. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of style and practicality.

What also sets them apart is their personal touch. Jorge is genuinely attentive and takes the time to understand what people are looking for, ensuring that each project is tailored to meet those needs. It’s a pleasure to see how dedicated they are to delivering high-quality, thoughtful designs.

Highly recommend Habitat Haus for anyone looking for beautifully crafted, well-thought-out homes!

Building our custom home with Habitat Haus in 2020 was a good experience. Despite the supply chain issues everyone was dealing with at the time, we are very happy with our home.

Five years later, we ran into an unexpected flooring issue while renovating our master closet. We reached out to Habitat Haus for assistance, and Jorge was a huge help. He quickly put us in touch with their flooring specialist, who was able to expertly patch the floor for us. We are so thankful for Jorge's help and highly recommend Habitat Haus.

Jorge's home are beautiful and have attention to detail that I have not seen comparable to other properties and builders. His homes are VERY far from the mass production cookie cutter builds seen often in Austin. I get many compliments on the stylistic finishes to this day. I bought my home from him in 2019, and now in 2025 he still made himself available for a question that I inquired on for repairs as they come up. I appreciate the quality of the home and the service from Jorge behind them.

Habitat Haus built our home in 2020 and we still love it! The design and build quality is excellent and we’ve had no issues at all. I would absolutely buy again from them! I’m a Realtor so I’ve seen A LOT of new builds and have heard many horror stories of bad quality homes and builds, so having this amazing experience with Habitat makes them stand out even more. Austin has a ton of builders, but they are not all created equal. If you are looking at buying a new build, I would highly recommend looking into what Habitat Haus bas available and going with them. They can be trusted to do an excellent build on your home and they are attentive and trustworthy if anything does come up that needs to be addressed.
