10 stars but only allowed to provide 5 stars. Our exterior project outdoor kitchen and transformation was one of those projects where we had a general sense of what we just didn’t like and what we would have liked had the prior owners used common sense. Lakshmi and her team listened to what we couldn’t quite articulate and synthesized it into a plan that captured exactly what we wanted. Execution on the plan was flawlesss, and every little and big change that we made along the way was handled with ease and without taking advantage on cost — something that is unfortunately atypical of many contractors. The project dramatically enhanced the aesthetics, functionality, and ability to use our property — we went from the ability to effectively utilize 50% of our outside space to the ability to utilize 75-80% of our space (the challenge was that our home is built on top of solid limestone, and that creates its own challenges). Kudos to Lakshmi, Kristen, Dianne, and all who form a part of Lakshmi’s stellar team.

Sign is entirely too bright at night. Light pollution and dangerous to drivers.

Just visited the store, pretty terrible shopping experience. Sales person was checking for availability, nobody else in the store. Hangup because of a long hold, too much trouble to check.

Walked in and was greeted by a new employee who had no idea where anything was or what the prices were on any of the products. He kept popping his head inside an office, asking the person in there, each question as I asked him. Finally after this going on for a few minutes I popped my head in too and asked the woman texting if she could possibly come out and help me. She walked out with an attitude and was not helpful at all. At least the new guy was trying, but he needed training. I can't tell you of a worse shopping experience in recent memory. Completely awful!!! Businesses like this do not need to exist. I was trying to shop locally but not at this cost.

I don't understand all the bad reviews here. We have used DelaTile for several projects and always been pleased with the results. Yes they are a small family-run company so they don't have a huge staff.
And I do my research up front so I know exactly what to ask for, down to the last detail.

Dela did such a good job in my rental property I hired them again to redo the kitchen counters in my main house. I shopped around to 4 different places in Austin (including the big box stores) and Dela beat their prices hands down.

After getting the full details on what new countertops would cost me per square feet and figuring out how many square feet I had to install (estimating a full 10% more than actual), the quote that I received was nearly double (4500 vs. 8300). I was originally told that I would have to purchase an additional slab of Eco stone....at the cost of roughly 1600. The installation and materials costs, I was also originally told, would be $52/sq ft. Being told that they would need a $500 deposit per slab, I agreed and gave them my credit card info. I found out 2 days later when going in to pick out my sinks that they had charged $5200 to my credit card. Wow! I was furious. This was never communicated to me. Was it a fat-fingered mistake when punching in the total? No...it was a legitimate charge they told me. I was also told at this point that the slabs cost $52/ft. How is that even possible considering the slabs are 45sqft and they are 1600/per? Installation costs must be figured in......but no. They tried to charge me for installation on top of the sqft charge of $52. They pulled some gimmick of "seeing what they could do for me" and came down to $6500....still $2000 higher than expected. No thanks. I cancelled right away. Today I find out that the charge for $5200 went through on my credit card a day after I cancelled. Irresponsible...a call to the BBB is in order.

I recently ordered a Quartz counter for our kitchen with Dela Tile and when our counters showed up for install we quickly realized that it was not correct. The corners were rounded and we specifically stated we wanted blunt straight corners. When we pointed this out to Dela Tile they first stated it was "standard for safety" to make all corners rounded......which is not true considering they install counters all the time with straight corners according to their website pictures. When I spoke with the manager about this she did admit it that the representative that I was working with should have given me the option but that it was my job to specify this, which I did......but I didn't know I was suppose to be the counter expert! Needless to say they admitted they made a mistake but did NOTHING to fix this! I spent $11,000 on counters with them and they refused to even give us a discount on a mistake that THEY made! I will NEVER do business with this company again!

I think it’s time for big boss to retire - mega corporates won with quality control and weight control maybe -
    Killer prices for polished rocks.

Dela Tile & Stone was SUPER awesome in helping me renovate my first home!! As a first time renovator, I was very anxious about the thought of re-doing my home but Dela Tile was quick to alleviate my fears and delivered very quality service!

Dela Tile re-did my floors (great tile selection too!), countertops, and the master bath.

It was really nice to have a full-service company who took care of everything from the removal to the instillation to post renovation services like my plumbing and electrical.

I highly recommend Dela Tile to the local Austin community (I live in Belterra where my neighbor recommended them to me).

Out of all the people/companies we have had to deal with in trying to renovate our home this place has been the ONLY GOOD EXPERIENCE we have had from start to finish. It has been an absolute nightmare but Dela Tile and Stone really gave me some peace of mind. I 100% vouch for them. We were helped by Lorena who has the best customer service I have ever encountered. She was polite, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She was also prompt which I can't tell you how much that meant to me. If ever there was a question that she didn't know the answer to, she would find out and get back to us immediately. She always kept us up to date on how things were looking when it came to price/payment, materials, and installation time. Honestly, thank you so very much Lorena.
The company itself has a wide variety of materials but with Lorena's expertise and with us having already done some research into what we wanted it was super easy.
This company added our countertops and installed our backsplash. The two gentlemen that installed the countertops were on time and super friendly and professional. They really did an outstanding job in a short amount of time.
The gentleman that installed our backsplash also really did an outstanding job. When he was done I couldn't have been happier. Another friendly gentleman who took almost no time at all to do a magnificent job.
Overall, this place was fantastic. Another company told us to wait a month for installation (we asked in November) and told us that they might be able to install it by the end of January. Dela Tile & Stone did everything in a week and right before Christmas. I HIGHLY recommend this place. The only thing I regret is not having used them for other projects in the house. If you have hired a contractor to help you renovate your home, I recommend that you insist on using Dela Tile. Our contractor used his people and they just aren't as good. Thank you Dela Tile & Stone! We are very happy

Never again.. ordered material for my shower and asked for 96 sq ft of tile.. when i picked it up my order had been doubled to 192 sq ft that i had apparently already paid for and would not accept a return of what i didn't want or need. Even when i went to pick it up was slightly drizzling outside and the guy on the forklift asked me to come back another day because he didn't want to get wet. Better prices and service at the big box store.

Where oh where are tradesmen who respond timely to customers and deliver what they promise?

The positive? Price. Out of three bids, they beat the others.

The negatives? After boasting that they can install countertops within 72 hours, it took weeks after I paid the upfront half. Then I was given a day that they'd install, but no time window. They ended up coming at 7:45pm. We had purchased vessel sinks, overflow drains, and faucets. I showed all pieces to the representative when he came to measure and the installers had all pieces on hand. Turns out they screwed up when they installed by cutting the sink holes too small for the drain assemblies. Now I have sinks glued to a counter that cannot be hooked up to the drain and we've been waiting a few weeks to hear whether Dela Tile will make it right. One rep told us that they usually have someone on hand during the install who has plumbing experience but he wasn't available that day. Another told us to get a plumber to basically do a workaround to make it work. We just had a plumber here today who said that there is no workaround.

So ya... their initial price beat their competitors. But now they want to add on charges to make their mistake right, so I wish I had gone with someone else.

We had them redo our kitchen cabinets and countertop. They came out and measured everything and drew up a design that looked good. The day the installers showed up they did not know they where going to have to demo the old cabinets. After a call to their boss they removed the old cabinets and began installing the new ones. As soon as the corner piece was placed it was clear that the design would not work. New cabinets would have to be ordered. While waiting on the rush job for the new cabinets, 23 days, our kitchen consisted of a sink with a tiny piece of the old cabinet screwed on. Now that the work is complete many cabinets have scratches inside and out, the kick panel and trim was cut in a way that the unfinished ends are exposed, and one of the 36x42 wall cabinets is held on by 4 screws. One of which is already pulling through the back of the cabinet before we have even put anything in it.

HIRE THESE FOLKS, YESTERDAY! Do yourself that favor - I'm sure glad I did!! From custom book shelving, to Italian closet make ready (tearing out wingwalls and making it bigger), to incredible back splash with great POP, and some nuanced concrete shelving too, these folks are truly nailing it professionally. Which, if you know anything about General Contractors, that is not the norm (especially in Austin). Lily, my project manager was dogged and a consummate professional as well - big UPS TO HER (TOO)!! Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills from the whole firm. I had them do all my interior design construction work prior to moving into my new dream condo in the Independent in downtown. They are super folks too, nuff said. (see my first line)

    Skelly is da best!

This was a large complex remodel job with lots of surprises. Skelly was wonderful to work with. Lily is an exceptional project manager. Highly highly recommended!

I have brought SKelly Home Renovations in on a number of projects. What I love most about working with Diana and her team is the seamless communication, promptness, attention to detail and knowing that everything big or small will be cared for in the manner that I expect when working with a contractor. By a long shot, Diana has been the best contractor I have ever collaborated with in my 12 years working in the field of remodeling. Happy clients, happy designer, amazing results!

I couldn’t be happier with the work Skelly has done, and I am ordinarily very demanding. Skelly’s contractors are all top-notch, and our project manager, Lily Harpham, is a gem – always on top of things and possessed of broad knowledge and sound judgment. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, or to recommend them to others.
