Constraction reviews in Austin, Texas

Skelly Build did an extensive remodel to our home in the Hancock neighborhood, they added a second story and remodeled the existing house. The quality of work was impeccable, the process was very transparent and pricing was fair and accurate. Our Project Manager was very communicative and listened to our input during the process. Any of the minor issues we had were resolved quickly. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend Skelly Build to anyone looking for a quality contractor.

My husband and I recently renovated our first home -- a loft-style condo in a historic building in downtown Austin. Our project involved major architectural changes, rigorous HOA board approvals, and a prior project that left our electrical situation a mess. I'm so glad we hired the experienced and personable team at Skelly Homes to help us tackle these things and more. Diana has a great eye for design which is an added bonus, and every subcontractor we met was very professional too. This is huge when you're leaving your home in someone else's hands. Renovations can be challenging, emotional and scary, so you want a team that knows the ropes and will teach you how it works along the way. The process can also be FUN, and we now have the real estate + renovation bug. :) We will definitely hire Skelly Homes for our next project!

Skelly Build is a great partner! They care about their builds and elevate their trades. The best in the business!

Working with Skelly Build has been a great experience. R & E CONCRETE LLC has been working along with them for a few years now. We have done few foundations for Skelly Build. We hope to continue working with them.

I would highly recommend skelly build to anyone ! They did a great job with my remodel. Greg my general contractor was a delight to work with and handled any issues quickly. Would hire them again!

Our 13 month project is upon completion and I can honestly say working with SKELLY BUILD and SKELLY BUILT was a STELLAR experience in every way! That said, it was the people we worked with in every single capacity that were the stars. Experience, knowledge, communication skills and sincere care all melded together to give us a home we are proud of and love. We will forever be grateful to SKELLY for working with us in the most extraordinary and exceptional way possible!!

As a trades professional, I see many General Contractors and Subs. Hands down, Skelly Build is at the top. Their communication, technology, skill, vision and staff are all top notch. We have recommended their services to several of our clients - they do not disappoint. And the "finishing touch" is that they are woman-owned!

I work in a salon that was constructed by Skelly Builds and I get so many compliments behind the chair about how cute our salon space is! As supportive as they are to our business I have had the pleasure of getting to know the staff personally behind the chair! Diane is a girl boss with a team full of boss babes! Shoutout to Autumn, Brooke, and Lalita for always being so helpful during the events they host at our salon!

I highly recommend Carley and her amazing team at Skelly Build. I'm a realtor and have worked with them many times on projects ranging from large-scale home renovations to quick tenant turnarounds paint and patch jobs. They do great work, have excellent communication throughout the project, and do the right thing when we hit a bump in the road. Carley has helped me many times when I encounter property issues. She has a "can-do" positive personality, is incredibly knowledgeable, and always helps figure out a solution. Thanks Skelly!

The team at Skelly Build treats customers with genuine care and professionalism. They’re responsive, communicative, and always make sure clients feel supported throughout the custom home, kitchen, and bathroom remodeling process. I appreciate how transparent and respectful they are, which makes the entire experience much smoother. It’s clear they value both quality work and strong relationships with the people they serve.

Working with Skelly Build as a plaster contractor was such a positive experience. Their team is incredibly organized, communicates clearly, and sets realistic timelines that make collaboration smooth and efficient. The level of detail and care they put into each phase of the project is impressive, and it made the entire process not only seamless but enjoyable. We truly appreciated their professionalism and look forward to partnering with them again in the future.

Dare I say the process of home renovation could actually be enjoyable? From bidding with Edgar, to planning and material selection with Ashton, to the final product, every step exceeded expectations. And Tiffany, our project manager, was the absolute best. She set clear expectations, juggled different needs, and always made sure we got what we wanted. She was a master problem solver, coordinating across architect, designer, and subcontractors, and caught details before we even noticed them. Every subcontractor was top-notch, and the end result is a home we truly love. We feel so lucky to wake up here every day.

It’s always a challenge to find a good general contractor, let alone finding a great general contractor. I learned the lesson the hard way and ended up having to fire my first general contractor during the complete gut out renovation of my condo at Seaholm. Enter Skelly Build to save the day! My experience with Diana (owner) and Lily (project manager) at Skelly Build cannot be more different from my first general contractor. Every component of the renovation required a high level of detail and skill – the installation of the Lutron / Ketra lighting, the technical challenges of installing the steam shower, the meticulous tile layouts … the list goes on and on. To add to their challenges, I have the curse of noticing every small imperfection. The Skelly Build team and their subcontractors were patient, accommodating and in constant communication with me every step of the way. Their subcontractors are the nicest people to work with as well, the electrician, the plumber, the tile installer, the painter …

Diana and Lily are not your typical contractor type, not only they can speak fluently on the technical aspect of the rennovation, they also have the eyes for style and beauty. They worked harmoniously with my interior design team to realize their vision and to solve any problem. I am super happy with the result and big thanks to the Skelly Build team.

Skellybuild hosts an annual community event at Lizard Yoga for their entire network. They are community leaders in their field as they bring builders and designers together through fun interactive events. Skellybuild team has been easy to work with. Clear communication, fun and ease. Solid group of integrous peeps!

I have worked with Skelly build on client projects as well as a personal project in my own home. Cannot recommend them enough! They are dedicated to high quality and getting it right. They have excellent project managers (hello Lily & Greg!) and I appreciate how thorough they are in documenting projects and making the process flow smoothly. Very knowledgable and they run a clean job site- cornerstones for success!

My husband and I were thrilled with the results of our condo renovation project. Skelly Build has exceeded our expectations. They followed the process just as outlined on their website and contract. When unexpected situations arose, project manager Kristi exercised expert problem solving for prompt resolution.
Our project got off to a great start with the help of Lalita offering us guidance on design elements during the preconstruction phase. She was very detailed oriented, so there were no surprises with the defined project work, and she gave us pros and cons of some work we were thinking about including. Kudos to Katie on the procurement of the right size of Taj Mahal recommended by Lalita. It was beautiful in the bathrooms!
Our project manager Kristi then took over for the actual work. Kristi has been fantastic from beginning to end. She was such a great communicator and was onsite for much of the time to coordinate with subcontractors such as for shower doors and tiles and for delivery of our new appliances. These subcontractors were top notch and Skelly Build had a lot of experience with them. For our bathroom work, they were able to protect our floor and mirrors from damage which saved us money. We also used Skelly Build’s in-house cabinet team, and they did an excellent job. Kristi kept everything on track and made the process feel seamless.
We recommend Skelly Build without hesitation

I've worked with Skelly on various projects, working closely with with the Skelly team on each, and every experience working with them has been positive. Lalita, Carley, Nelson & Alex have been my points of contact on multiple projects and each one of them have been responsive, prompt and have been willing to help problem solve as needed.

I would recommend Skelly to anyone looking to hire a contractor needing high-quality work on either a residential or commercial project!

Skelly Build is an excellent construction/contract company. We just recently completed our remodel with them of our entire downstairs (mainly kitchen) and it is truly breathtaking. Nelson was our project manager and he was extremely detailed, organized and kept the crew working for us. Not only that, but we really enjoyed working with Nelson and consider him and the entire team friends! I highly recommend Skelly for any remodel needs in the Austin, TX area.

Working with Skelly Build is always such a rewarding experience. Their team approaches every project with excellent care, craftsmanship, and clear communication, qualities that make all the difference in bringing a design vision to life. Their process is incredibly organized and streamlined, making even the most complex projects feel smooth and well-managed from start to finish. As a designer, I deeply value their attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and respect for design integrity. They are a trusted partner who consistently delivers exceptional results.

Skelly was phenomenal for our remodel needs! We hired them to remodel our kitchen, living room, and primary bathroom. They were extremely communicative throughout the entire process. They finished the construction on time and within budget, and we love the end result. Not only that, but when a couple small issues came up months after finishing, Skelly quickly sent someone out to remedy them. It's comforting to know that they stand behind their services and will be with you every step of the way. I highly recommend Skelly Build.

I’ve had the absolute privilege of providing plumbing fixtures and hardware for some of the beautiful homes Skelly has built. Working with their team is always such a smooth and enjoyable process. I can only imagine how much their clients and trades appreciate the same experience. Every person, from estimating to project management, is kind, professional, and truly great to work with.
