Hired because they had good Google reviews and were based close to our house. Do not recommend for water heater issues but also probably not for anything else. Water heater broken Friday, attempted relighting pilot light several times before giving in and seeking a pro. Called Saturday, no answer. Figure it's Veteran's day so we need to wait. Called Sunday morning, left # but no call back. Called Sunday around 1pm, appointment scheduled for 2pm, $99 visit fee(!). Call at 3:30 (1.5 hours after scheduled time) "oh no, we were sending a plumber but you need someone for a furnace" "no, we need a plumber for a water heater" "oh okay, they're on their way". Call at 3:55 from tech, dispatcher wrote down wrong address (happens but not surprising given the issues thus far). Tech arrives, without inspecting the machine, says "$200 to *attempt* to light the pilot light" -- on top of $99 visit fee. We say we already know it's not going to light so can you just figure out why it's not lighting. Guess that's not allowed. Tech, realizing we are very annoyed and not going to give his company any more money, attempts the pilot light for free (good on him, we appreciated that). Fails and confirms it would have been $200 down the drain on top of the $99 already down the drain. Nice tech, but very annoying experience with this company. Have since learned Doug the Plumber and Champion will send out plumbers for free estimates.

what an excellent plumbing service. we had a drip from the whirlpool in our main bathroom. i rang them up and they responded, arranging for a plumber named keith to swing by within a couple of days. he turned up as planned, shooting over a text before his arrival. he patiently heard us out about the issue, threw in some queries, then proceeded to troubleshoot. he then explained his thoughts on what might be the cause, using photographs he had snapped, suggested the fixes and put forward the cost. keith fixed it, demonstrated the revamped plumbing joints and tubes, and conducted checks to confirm the issue was resolved. it feels amazing to receive such top-notch service from a plumbing company you can rely on. for me, if we ever experience any plumbing problems in the future, this will be the service i'll be reaching out to!

devin & sons plumbing consistently delivers quality work and is a breeze to collaborate with. colin adeptly clarifies the problem and potential solutions and has come to our aid multiple times. i strongly suggest considering their extremely reasonable service agreements. i had a routine maintenance inspection they perform for me each year. colin will be back to carry out some preventative maintenance work in the near future. colin came back today to complete all the agreed-upon tasks. he did an exceptional job, being thorough and efficient. such a pleasant guy too! i can't praise colin and his plumbing expertise enough. the most comprehensive and top-notch service you could ever wish for. you will not be let down!! in a recent update, bentley performed an outdoor shower pipe replacement and fixed two pipe leaks under my house. bentley's work was solid, he communicated well and thoroughly explained what was needed to be done and what proactive measures we might contemplate. devin & sons plumbing never fails to exceed expectations.

i called in the late afternoon and was able to set up an appointment for the next day at 8 am. they contacted me after 8 am to let me know that colin was on his way. they mentioned he would arrive in about 20-30 minutes, but it was clear he might be delayed due to traffic, which turned out to be the case. colin was very courteous and respectful; he asked if he should wear booties to protect my carpet before entering. he examined my bathroom sink and provided an estimate, explaining potential scenarios and costs if any issues arose. he was friendly and easy to talk to. everything went smoothly, and the job was completed much quicker than i anticipated. colin even asked if there was anything else he could assist with while he was there. i brought up some concerns i had with my backyard sprinklers, and he offered great advice. he suggested capping off our system or shutting down the sprinkler lines. he also provided a warranty for the work he completed, although he couldn't warranty the parts since i had already bought them myself. i would definitely recommend this plumbing service.

colin was the plumber who came to help us out today. he was very thorough about explaining what was wrong and gave us different solutions to our plumbing problems. he also took a look at other stuff we were curious about and was able to provide us with options and estimates for getting those tasks done. we needed a faucet repaired and a garbage disposal installed, and we also had a problem with our bathtub drain. we couldn't sort out the drain issue today because of the kind of plumbing we have, but colin gave us plenty of alternatives to make sure we could resolve the issue soon. we'll be using this plumbing service for all our future needs in austin.

Don't bother with anyone else, Devin & Sons Plumbing is the best. Others might overcharge and not deliver quality work. Their plumber Keith did work on 2 bathrooms, 4 sinks, a dishwasher, laundry facilities, a water heater, and an outdoor hose bib in approximately 6 hours. He would have finished earlier but he had to rectify some damaged drain pipes and replace a sink drain, which another plumber incorrectly installed in the shower. Some plumbers need to pause their work to answer phone calls. Not Keith. He uses a headset, allowing him to communicate with customers even when he's in the middle of a task, such as working in a crawl space with tools in both hands. Honestly, he's the only one you'd want for a replumbing job from polybutylene to PEX. Simply the best.

Eric was simply outstanding. I own a century-old property in Austin that posed a unique plumbing challenge. Eric demonstrated an impressive persistence and work ethic in finding a solution to the problem that had us puzzled for hours. He never gave up or stopped trying to figure out a resolution. When the initial tool wasn't successful at clearing my ancient pipes, Eric fetched another one. When the second tool wasn't effective, he paused for a moment and considered that perhaps the first tool might now work. Despite having used the first tool for a lengthy period of time, he returned to it once more with a unique approach. This time, it was successful. Eric was relentless and showed commendable perseverance and professionalism in finding a solution. His manners were impeccable and he was very respectful. Eric is the kind of employee every client dreams of having to solve their plumbing issues. This plumbing service is absolutely stellar!! Philip is a top-notch foreman who ensures everything runs smoothly! They executed a drain connection repair right in the middle of a busy street, addressing an issue mandated by the city. They dug a nine-foot-deep trench in the center of the road, employing an excavator, numerous trucks, and several plumbers and laborers. They successfully cleared out parked cars, carried out the work, and coordinated with a city inspector to check the repaired connection before filling the trench back up. They also restored the entire road surface to its original state, placing cones around the area to protect it from traffic until it was properly set. They even took photos, videos, and provided documentation for my insurance reimbursement. This plumbing team did a monumental job effortlessly and at an unbeatable price. They're fantastic and i highly recommend them!

About a year ago, when we relocated to Austin, we were aware that the 30-year-old oil boiler in our new residence would require a replacement.
