We have had flickering lights, brownouts & power surges for the past couple of years. A different electrician came out and assured me all was safe & that these occurrences are just the joys of living in an older home (1956) After continued electrical drama, I reached out to AC Electric on a recommendation. After taking the time to actually listen to my concerns, they felt the issue lay with the utility co. Sure enough, Austin Energy found an issue at the transformer. (broken neutral)
AC Electric took the time & care to visit with me multiple times via phone calls & emails, always expressing genuine concern for the safety of ourselves & our home.
I must say it is rare these days to experience this level of care, service & professionalism.
I'd give em 6 stars if I could. Outstanding service all around.

I had commissioned AC electric for a large electric job lasting more than 2 weeks to do some major repairs to my house. While the progress was good initially, they started doing other projects in the middle and skipping work at my project. After 80% of the project is done they have now gone missing for almost 2 weeks now. Emails and calls to them are resulting in no answers about how and when they would finish the work.
I understand they are going through some issues on their side, my project and move in date is now delayed by weeks with no line of sight to when the project will be completed.
I would definitely not recommend them for an electric project to anybody.

AC came to my house when we did discovered we had aluminum wiring. They did a full cop-alum upgrade and we also had them install some new fixtures in our dining room and an outdoor outlet. Great, professional and quick service! Their rates were very reasonable. The crew was very respectful of my home and made sure to clean up thoroughly afterwards. I'll definitely be contacting them again in the future.

Terrible. Not sure the guys who came out were even certified electricians. They came to fix two patio fans that weren’t working. After calling the fan company and getting new internal parts and replacing them they still didn’t work. They finally realized it was the wall switch that was out. They attempted to fix that and whatever they did to the internal parts of the fan really messed them up and they stopped working again.

Then, knowing they messed up, stopped returning our messages.

A real electrician who just came out said wires weren’t connected properly. Do not hire this company.

Had to give 5 stars as this company answered my call today, sent 2 electricians out to diagnose and price a repair for us after our home buyers were asking for $$$$ for an electrical repair right before our option period ended. In the end, their fast diagnosis, competitive pricing, and quick estimate generation saved us $800 in our concessions to the buyer. Thank you, AC Electric! We will recommend you to all of our Austin friends!

AC ELECTRIC Fast, efficient, expert electricians, very knowledgeable, reasonable costs and great customer service and individual customer relations.
Have used them several times. Including running power lines and installing a complete structure with 110 and 240 volt service as well as exterior yard outlets. Excellent at trouble shooting problems.

My breaker box was having problems and the electricity was partly off in the house due to another companies ‘master’ electrician. They showed up ahead of schedule and had everything back to normal in about an hour and 10 minutes.
