Aug 2025 Update!

I got into woodworking out in the garage in a big way this year. I decided to plan out some new electrical: Lighting, 220V for a dust collector, a 220V for future addition of a minisplit AC unit to cool the shop and two additional circuits to run tools and dust extraction at the same time. My home didn't have conveniently placed outlets, so I called up Malco again to get a plan and a quote.

They told me they would start week of August 18. And sure enough Monday Aug 18 at 7:30AM, Josh is on his way out to start the job. They finished Thursday. The price was really fair and I did a lot of research into labor, materials and the kept me on my budget. The quality of the work was great, lighting is straight with the ceiling, steel conduit looks good with the workshop tools and everything works!

That was my fourth project. Also, they managed to get a job done for my neighbor with his ceiling fans, and easily beat the quote he had.

I have had excellent experiences with Malco Electric on three different occasions for my house in Caliterra. The first bit of work was to extend electrical conduit on the patio needed for a nice BBQ/outdoor kitchen appliance. I'm really picky about how things look, and they ran the conduit perfectly, straight and level and did an expert job attaching it to the brick.

My second experience was to add a whole house protection circuit on my main panel (I think new houses require that now, but it wasn't at the time my house was built). I also needed an outlet relocated to the proper breaker, since the house builder did something dumb - the guys at Malco fixed that really easily.

This past week, I've been upgrading my kitchen for new appliances, and needed to convert a 120V 20A to a 240V 15A, which just needed a new breaker in the sub panel and outlet. The initial quote seemed reasonable, but what really made me impressed with the company is after the work was done, they told me the job was easier than the quote and the price came in a lot less! When does that ever happen with a contractor? I just thought that showed integrity and you can tell Malco wants your return business.

The guys at Malco electric are always on point. Always on time, always get to me asap, often the next day. They work fast and never waste time which saves me money. The office people are always great to deal with as well. If you need someone to do a project big or small, if you have an emergency and need someone fast that won’t cost you a fortune, then call These guys!

220V/50A EV outlet install. Malco knew what I needed more than I knew to ask. I offered an assist to pull cable. They did a good job of routing the wire to be least obtrusive at an outside power panel up through soffit and back down an inside wall in the garage. They also installed the charger block and charging cable wall hangars in a perfect position relative to the vehicle.

Fast-forward almost 30 years, and we needed an electrical service design and installation for a new workshop and a future home. With no hesitation we once again called Malco and the work they delivered was beyond my expectations. The new service rack they built is commercial quality and will serve us well for many, many years. Malco Electric is an amazing company. It was extremely easy to schedule an appointment with them. The tech arrived timely, and provided different options to be cost efficient. I really appreciated the transparency (and obviously the cost savings). We had to schedule a follow up appointment. They arrive the next day once again timely to perform the work. Their employees were very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend these guys.

My lights in the back half of my apartment stopped working. Andrew came and got the problem fixed within 30 minutes. Was very polite and professional. He called about 30 minutes before arriving.

The dispatcher was pleasant, they came
out the next morning at 8 am exactly when they said they would and then followed up to check on an issue. They are not the cheapest option, but i got what I paid for. I will be using them in the future.

We recently had Malco Electric install three outdoor electric receptacles. When working on the proposal, Steve from Malco suggested a really cost-effective solution. Josh did the installation and did an amazing job! It was a pleasure working with Josh. I’ll definitely use Malco Electric for future projects.

I am very happy that I called Malco Electric. They were able to schedule my service appointment the very next morning and were very patient with me as I had a lot of questions and have very little personal knowledge of electrical systems. My appointment lasted about an hour and they were able to fix and explain a handful of issues that I had been struggling with for years. I’ve used Malco a few times now. Different techs, and each has been great. Malco is great at communicating, reasonably priced, and they do quality work! Genuinely good folks, too.

I used Malco Electric to address three small projects. I had an issue with bedroom in-ceiling lights not working (and had previously had another company out who couldn't solve it), flickering cabinet lights, and replacing old outdoor lights with new light fixtures.

Andrew showed up on time and had exceptional communication and workmanship. All lights now work flawlessly and the new fixtures look and work great.

Very easy to set up request for quote for replace ballast and install Ring floodlight. Setting up appointment was convenient. Came later than expected but they called to say first job was taking longer but asked how my schedule looks. He easily reviewed the problems with the ballasts and took care of it efficiently. He reviewed options and fixed as I requested. It was a good experience and would recommend.
