Nick of Bartlett came out to look at two oak trees that experienced burn from an inadvertent fire we had at our house. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He spent a good hour here and to put it bluntly, was a perfect person to explain where we stand. Our neighbors recommended Bartlett after reviewing 4 "experts" in the area. They seem to known best, so if you are looking for a good, honest company, I'd recommend them.

We have used this tree service and relied on their arborist Kevin Bulla for a very long time. We value his advice. Their crews are SO professional, trimming in ways that look beautiful and keep the tree healthy. They are especially skilled in dealing with trees in difficult situations, those that lean over a neighbor’s house or endanger other trees or are in hard-to- get at places. The crew is very careful about preserving existing grass and plants and clean up so well you don’t know they’ve been there. They have fertilized our trees after the recent snow and freezes and have treated for aphids and other pests.

Bartlett Tree Experts did a fantastic job pruning the trees on our property. Matt came out and evaluated all of the trees. He was so knowledgable and helpful! The crew (Kelly and Lloyd) that came out to do the pruning and take down a large tree that needed to come down were amazing. I was particularly impressed with their clear focus on safety! Great teachable moment with my kids watching experts do their job!!

I have experienced an excellent relationship with Bartlett Tree Experts. I was a recent widow when I first contacted the company. Matthew Tobola came and was very professional and kind and I decided that I would try this business. They are not the cheapest out there, but the quality of work, the quick response to my questions and the willingness to be as helpful as possible is what makes me use them year after year. The work I had done just a few weeks ago is an example. As I was looking over the work done with the tree above my roof, near my chimney I asked if the cap was still on and he said he wasn't sure, but he would go back up and check. Sure enough, the cap was resting near the chimney on the roof and he replaced it for me. I was so grateful! I highly recommend Bartlett Tree Experts.

Bartlett Tree Experts are truly experts: we have had a certified arborist on-site with each visit, as is our service representative. All knowledgeable and courteous and professional. We used them for tree assessments as we have 15-20 large trees on our property, most of which are live oaks and red oaks - our treasures of the property! They identified one at -risk tree, and we requested they cable the tree to preserve it as long as possible - outstanding job. I am not sure when Bartlett went downhill, but they are at the bottom of that hill now. We reached out to Bartlett in June to come assess some broken branches and cut back some branches over our house. The rep that we dealt with was Savanna. We signed an agreement for this job on 6/30, the proposal was ~$1.3k. I didn't hear anything from them about getting a service date scheduled so I emailed Savanna on 7/8 and was told "You are in the queue. I should be able to get to you later this week or next." They never came out that week or the following week. I called Bartlett on 7/21 and the receptionist told me we were on the books to be serviced on 7/24. Guess what? No one ever showed up. I emailed them on 7/25 telling them to cancel the appointment but they assured me they would come out the following day, which they actually did this time. The tree trimmers came out and were working on our trees, we made a pass before leaving for some errands and highlighted a couple small twigs/branches that were still hanging in the trees, they said they would make sure to cut those down. When we came back home the team was gone and those same dead branches were still there. I emailed our rep with the attached photos and never heard back. After waiting 3 weeks for a response, I called their office and asked to speak with a manager and left a long voicemail about the whole experience. That manager apparently told our rep, who already dropped the ball multiple times, to call me about this instead of handling it themselves. She called me this morning and said "the photos looked like squirrel damage which isn't covered" but she offered to come by to attempt to fix the issue. I told her no thanks because that is about the most unprofessional way to say sorry and making it sound like it is our issue when in reality our estimate said "Remove all dead, declining, broken branches". I will never use Bartlett Tree Experts again and I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere, I hear great things about Tree Amigos and will try them next time.

My neighbors are very happy with this company and I am too since they were so respectful every time they come out to my back yard for the overhanging branches when they do the neighbor's trees.

I discussed a quote for $1200 from another company for tree work and they disagreed with needing to trim the tree hanging over the house as it has 4 feet of clearance already and the tree provides shade to the house.

They disagreed that these two trees (in my photo) are touching too much because in nature, the trees touch and that's ok.

The only thing the Bartlett rep agreed with was clearing out one branch of deadwood that had a hanging broken branch on it that I can pull down myself sometime. Their minimum for my property was $600 so this would be $600 and not worth it when I can just pull down the hanging broken branch!
