Jerry Pulley at Tree Clinic is the worst arborist! Our lab report from TAMU stated that our Drake elm died from a water mold due to inundation from a neighbor's broken pipe. This arborist claimed our tree died from cotton root rot, which is impossible, since we planted another Drake elm a couple of years ago in the same spot as the tree that died, and the new tree is perfectly healthy. Drake elms are highly susceptible to cotton root rot, which is most active in July, and are most likely to die from it. He tried to say the water mold was found on some other place on the tree, but the sample was taken in the exact same location he said his sample was taken. There is no cotton root rot in the sandy loam soil next to Lake Austin and this tree still lives. In fact, there are several sources that state cotton root rot does not exist in alluvial soils. Also, TAMU states that the only way to know if cotton root rot exists is to plant a susceptible plant, which we did. Our susceptible plant lives, hence no cotton root rot.

Jerry Pulley has been so helpful to me since my land burned in the Wildfires in Spicewood, Tx, Labor Day Weekend, 2011. I regard his opinion above any other source for the biology behind the decision making process. Thanks for your thoughtful assistance. Susie Fowler

Nick was great, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He answered all my silly questions, explained the science behind it, and offered lots of suggestions. The work that was performed was done exactly as explained. Couldn't have asked for more!

It was a pleasure to work with these guys. I've had my trees trimmed by another company for years and this was the first time it was actually done exactly how I wanted. They arrived promptly, cleaned up great and I am happy to have found a trustworthy tree company.

Mark Tanner is very unprofessional. We requested a quote for trimming and potentially cabling services and originally was very knowledgeable and helpful. After asking for the quote, we requested a breakdown of fees for the service to see if we would like to do trimming + the cabling and he responded with “I would not be inclined to do so.” He also said that both those services go “hand in hand.” If you expect us to believe that you are experts in this industry and cannot manage to trim WITHOUT cabling then it is very apparent he was just upset that we were not agreeing to the full service.
I have never received a response remotely similar to his when asked to break down a proposal and then ask to only move forward with part of it.
At least he had some level of foresight as he stated at the end of his email that we could “go with someone else even if it isn’t Barlett.” To which we agree 10000%.

Service was quick and easy but really over priced for the work that is done. If I didn't need assistance right away, I would have shopped around. There are definitely companies just as good with lower prices.

Truly standout experts in the field. They began correcting the roots of my Japanese Maple. Trimmed and shaped a holly tree. Cabled two maples that were ready to split.

Matt was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He really knew his trees. Arrived on time for a consultation. Very professional. Would definitely recommend!

I called Bartlett to save my Magnolia tree as they are advertised in my favorite gardening magazine. Andrew Anstrom came to look at it and evaluate it . He seemed very knowledgeable and suggested feeding it and trimming back my arizona ash to give it more light. It not ony worked but the tree straightened up in one week! It is now green again and I think it will be saved. They did exactly what I needed and didn't try to sell me more.

Very knowledgeable and professional arborists who won't offer unnecessary services. Pricey, but for EXPERT tree care, it's worth it. The oaks in my yard really add to the value of my home, and Bartlett has helped them thrive.
