Edgar’s tree service did a great job for us. We called on Saturday, they came to do a quote same day, and completed the work Monday afternoon. Much more reasonable pricing than the big tree services. They left our site clean, and our trees are better and healthier now! 100% recommend. Will call Edgar again if we need them.

Great job trimming large oak and Hackberry branches hanging over my yard. They were careful not to trample my newly planted gardens, and everything was removed and cleaned up. Good communication and prompt, reliable service.

Edgar’s tree service was prompt with coming out to look at the tree in my front yard and giving me insight into what the issue was, and how we could also ensure that my other trees would not have the same problem. They were timely with the work that they did to remove the tree and left my front yard in great condition after the fact. Highly recommend!

Edgar and Maria came out and gave me an estimate the same day I contacted them. Edgar evaluated my trees and made several recommendations for the work that needed to be done. A very reasonable price was agreed upon and the service was scheduled for the next morning. Edgar and his crew were right on time and got to work immediately. I could not be more pleased with their work and the speed at which it was accomplished. They were polite and respectful of my property and took great pains to insure that they caused no damage to surrounding structures and fences. Edgar and his team also went above and beyond the contracted work and took care of some other issues that were not part of the project. I initially thought this would be a DIY project, and when I received the quote, I was taken aback by the cost. However, after my wife convinced me to proceed, I’m so glad I did! The team not only met my expectations but went above and beyond to ensure the trees were healthy and well-maintained. They meticulously cleaned the branches and even took the time to repot two of my bougainvilleas.

I have used Edgar’s tree trimming service exclusively since the ice storm for four homes. He is prompt, professional, does a really good job and is affordable.

I highly recommend using Edgar's Tree Service! Edgar, and Marie, came out to give me an estimate the same day I called them. I had to coordinate the date of the work, because I was having a fence installed as well. They worked with me and was able to schedule the work on the exact day that I needed. Edgar's crew arrived promptly at my home at 8am on the day of service. They got the job done efficiently and hauled off all. the debris for me. I'm very satisfied with the work, and I will not hesitate to call upon them again.

Edgar is very knowledgeable, he has a lot of experience with trees. Edgar was very quick to respond to my service inquiry, he went to my property to look at the work and present an estimate free of cost, he explained the work (selective pruning) that needed to be done to save one of our trees severely affected during the last winter storm. He gave a very competitive quote and was able to work around our schedule for both the first visit for the estimate and also for the work day. He was very precise, professional and took care of all the cleaning once the tree pruning was done. We will definitely work with him again and we are sharing his contact with friends and neighbors.

It was so overwhelming! I just wanted to chop it all down! Edgar took the time to explain the importance of a good trim and how it is necessary to manicure the trees on a regular basis and that way the true beauty of my house 🏡 would shine through. I’m was like, “Yeah. Okay. 👀” But no one could have prepared me for what I experienced as I drove up to my beautifully manicured yard! O. My! I am in love with my new look !

I asked Edgar's Tree Service for a quote on a complicated set of tree trimming or removal chores in our yard, ten in all. They gave me a quite reasonable estimate and arranged to do the work this past Saturday. They were prompt, in fact arriving a half-hour earlier than they'd suggested they might.The work was done conscientiously, safely, and precisely as I'd asked. In one case, a medium-sized mature but now dead tree was mostly over our yard pond and also near a privacy fence and a couple big compost bins. To avoid hazard to themselves or these structures it was necessary that they be cautious about just where different chunks would come down. With both a worker on the tree and others handling ropes from the ground, the job was done without mishap. Following each of the several parts of the morning's project the Edgar's Tree Service crew cleaned up the debris, even smaller limbs. Overall, the price and tree work were perfect. My wife and I definitely expect to hire them again.

Edgar and his services were perfect for us. He’s super educated on the care of our trees and takes the time to teach us. They removed a dying bradford pear, ground the stump and put in a 65 gallon monterey oak, they also trimmed our large chinkapin oak in the back. Always on time, communicative, and super friendly. Will use again and recommend to friends and family.

I HIGHLY recommend Edgar's Tree Service. They gave a very fair quote, understood exactly what I wanted done, offered very good, educated recommendations, showed up on time exactly as scheduled, were proficient and focused on their work, painted all exposed limbs as needed, removed every bit of debris, and even scooped the leaves and small limbs out of my pool. A few years back I used another tree service that has been in Austin 40+years, and they could learn a lot from Edgar's. You will be very happy with Edgar's Tree Service. I am! I hate these reviews because you never know if they're fake, etc, but I assure you I am one real, happy, customer. A few before, during and after photos. They don't do the great work justice!

Edgar and his team did a great job taking down a tree that was very large, dead and close to my house, fence and AC system. I was very concerned about taking it down safely without hitting anything. Edgar took it down safely and for a very reasonable price, even grinding down the stump for a good price. They also seemed very knowledgeable about good tree care in general. I will be using their services in the future, next time I need any trimming. I have gotten lots of quotes for tree removal and trimming in the past. I have received these sort of services from other companies, some decent some horrible. But the experience I had with Edgar was the best.

So my giant tree (about 100') out front has a fungus working it's way down its lowest branch & I read about what it was. Found something called Hypoxylon Canker & it can kill the tree if it gets to the trunk. This tree was a factor in us buying the house. It's huge and majestic and awesome so I got really worried because it's gonna be at the trunk in a month or so. Then it's curtains for the tree.

I was concerned about finding the right people to help because I didn't want them to be like "O well, there's nothing we can do. Guess you better pay us to cut down your tree." Kind of like when you go to a mechanic or dentist they always find something wrong so they can get paid. So I looked up who had legit, certified arborists & seemed like they care and came to Austin Tree Surgeons.

I left a message on a Sunday & within 15 mins of them opening on Monday, I got a call. We're also in the height of the pandemic, so I was unsure if I'd even get a response let alone one immediately. They sent Paul the next day & he was super helpful & knowledgeable. Definitely a legit expert that cared about saving the tree. We're under social distancing right now so when he got to the front yard and checked it all out he called me and we spoke on the phone & gave me the whole run-down. They're also really responsive when you call the office. Like 2 rings and they pick up. They even called back when I butt dialed them yesterday.

Wrt to the tree, squirrels likely took a chunk out of the branch & then it spread from there. Paul gave me exactly how to fix it on my own complete with care instructions for after. Then he diagnosed other smaller issues I should be proactive about to give the tree some other help. He was patient while I asked a million questions and had helpful answers for all of them. I'm super happy I chose Austin tree surgeons & I'm so grateful they were able to help me, especially in such crazy times. AND the $150 it cost (which is way cheaper than I expected btw) goes towards cutting the limb off if you want them to do it. We're gonna amputate the bad limb ourselves cuz my wife and I are bosses like that, but that's really cool of them.

Definitely money well spent and if you're worried about losing a tree that's dear to you, you can definitely put your trust in them.

Jessica was a pleasure to work with. She explained in detail and in words I can understand the status of our tree problem, probable cause, recommended treatment and alternatives, and expected results. Her answers to my few questions were complete, and she checked to be sure I understood. A good professional arborist and nice person to work with. Also, my call to their office for information and to make an appointment was taken by a pleasant, efficient, informative person (sorry, I don't remember the name). I highly recommend Jessica and Austin Tree Service.

Responded quickly and sent an arborist who diagnosed the issue quickly. Afterwards scheduled a trimming and the crew who came was very communicative and did a great job. Price was extremely fair will definitely use them again for any future tree service needs.
