Reviews of local pros in Austin, Texas

I appreciated that we consulted first and made a clear plan for the work Chico's was going to do. When the crew arrived, they were on time, on task, and did a great job with everything from the climbing and cutting to clean-up and haul-off. This level of competence and service at such reasonable rates seems unheard of. I'll give them my business again and again.

Chico and his team were wonderful. We had to have two 40+ ft Red Oak trees taken down that had died. His quote came in much lower than every other arborist we called, and his price is by the hour. The job took less time than he quoted, by almost half, and he stuck to the per hour cost. He was professional, kind, quick, safe, and importantly his team worked great with him. I would highly recommend calling Chico, and plan to use him for our arborist needs going forward.

Chico and his team did an excellent job trimming our trees. Chico is a knowledgable arborist, who pointed out limbs we needed to cut right away versus ones we should keep an eye on in the future. His team was kind, professional, and efficient.

I unfortunately had an 82 year old Post Oak tree that had to come down. Here is my experience and why I'd recommend Chico and his crew. The initial call was answered, he was quick on text message responses and cost was in my opinion very fairly priced. As for the actual job, he updated me the day before and showed up the next morning when promised and the efficiency of his crew was evident from spot watching the methodology of the tree surgery. Even as the process went along Chico was great about answering questions. At the end of the process Chico was even nice enough to cut up a large trunk so my neighbor could make some cutting boards for the handful of neighbors that were entertained by this process. In short, hire him and when he shows up grab yourself some coffee and watch the process for an hour, very entertaining. 5 stars should be a rare review but he deserves it.

My friend told me about a tree company that did there tree work, saying they were friendly and courteous and did a good job...the company was Chico’s Tree Service. I called and made an appointment and CHICO came to discuss the job. We walked the property and discussed what I wanted done. He also made some suggestions of things that should be done. He worked me up a bid and suggested a date to start the work. He and his crew arrived on time and we walked the property to make sure everything was covered. Chico was with his crew the whole time and they did an excellent job including a ver complete clean up. I was impressed how friendly and courteous Chico and his crew were...I will use them again and highly recommend there services. A.Larson

I am very happy that I decided to contract Mr. Rafael Chico and his crew to remove large old and unhealthy ash tree from our backyard. They did excellent job for very reasonable price. It was easy to contact them and get price estimate. They cleaned up after job perfectly and did not damage any of several small trees that we have planted just below the ash tree that they removed. I would not hesitate to contract them again when needed.

Rafael and his team removed about 20 trees and cleaned up about 6 more on our property. Throughout every step, Rafael was a great communicator. I appreciate that he double checked with me regarding a large tree I tagged for removal, but after removing some dead lower branches appeared healthy at the top. (I decided to keep the tree, and it looks really good!). His team worked hard and cleaned up well. I am very happy I chose Chico's Tree and Lawn Care and would recommend anyone else do the same! And to top it off, Rafael is just a really pleasant, personable guy.

Chico did a great job removing a tree that was in decline and had lost a large limb in the recent wind. He also had good recommendations for other trees on our property. Chico came out to our house within a few hours to get the damaged tree out of a driveway. His pricing is very reasonable and we would definitely hire him again.

Love this business. Chose based on reviews. We had a dead cedar tree after the freeze, others that weren't thriving, branches touching the roof, and a lot of other issues that needed to be addressed right away.Chico responded quickly, came over quickly for an estimate, then he and his crew did an excellent job exactly as agreed, for the best price around. This arborist is a very knowledgable, hardworking, terrific guy with a super crew. As much as we hated losing the trees, we loved finding these guys. Highly recommend.

Chico is awesome - his team helped us remove a tree from our home which was in very bad shape and in imminent danger of falling on the house. They were efficient, incredibly informative, and overall great to work with.

I found Chico's Tree service, because their crew was trimming my neighbor's trees. I chatted with Raf, the owner, and walked through my property. He's very knowledgable and provided me with a very fair and timely bid. 3 days later, his crew showed up, completed all the work. I had 3 massive trees fully trimmed to allow more light in for the grass and a large tallow removed. Everything was cleaned up before the crew left...very friendly guys. Quality was fantastic too. I can't recommend these guys enough. He will definitely be my "go to" for tree service going forward!

I needed a lot of work done on my trees, luckily Chico was recommended to me by a friend. I couldn't have been more happier with the work . The job was so labor intensive that l couldn't see them completing the work in one day, to my surprise not only did they finish, but did an outstanding job and even cleaned the entire yard.
His crew was extremely professional, hard working and courteous.
Chico is a true professional that loves what he does and that comes across in his work. So glad l found him , l would highly recommend to everyone!!!

Chico is amazing. Great professional and cares about delivering top quality service. Always provides the extra service to make your yard look fantastic, even if not in the scope of work. He stopped by a week later to ask if I was satisfied. Excellent service and I highly recommend Chico and his courteous staff. You will not be disappointed with the quality of service. Price was a lot less than others. Chico quickly provided an in person quote and showed on time to conduct the work. Much thanks!

Can't recommend enough. Chico did an amazing job trimming up a couple of large trees in our yard as well as giving some good advice regarding their upkeep. He also did a great job installing (and removing) Christmas lights and assorted decorations from my home.

Thanks again for all your hard work and we look forward to working with you again.

From initial contact through the completion of the project, Chico was probably one of the most knowledgeable and easiest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with as a home owner. On top of that, he was nice to talk to, prompt, professional and fair. I needed my trees trimmed back and he and his crew were careful, time efficient and cleaned up afterward. I trust and highly recommend this company to do anything they say they can do because I’m confident Chico wouldn’t sign up to do something he wasn’t capable of.

Chico and his crew did a great job at my house, trimming multiple trees, cleaning the roof lines, getting the vines off the wires, and did a tree removal and stump grinding. Overall the work was priced fairly and the crew did a good job and cleaned everything up when they were finished. The yard looks great! Thank you.

Chico and his crew got out the same day and did a great job of removing a damaged tree and grnding the stump. These guys know their stuff.

My hats off to Chico! Again he has shown me why he is the best tree service in Austin. On time and efficient, he removed a 40 tree that was close to the electrical service in two and one half hours! That's why Chico is the man!

Chico and his team are awesome! Extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommend for routine tree trimming and dealing with larger trees with dead branches that need to be removed. Thank you, Chico!

I hired Chico's Tree, Love, and Care to trim the trees around the perimeter of my property, and they did an excellent job. They also cleaned my gutters and built a fence for me. Chico was very responsive to all my requests, and the team made sure to clean up thoroughly after their work. I highly recommend Chico's Tree, Love, and Care for their professional and high-quality service.

I had a hollow tree over hanging my power line. They had it removed safely and efficiently. They then went around my yard and cleaned up dead limbs and anything blocking walkways. They also gave me the option to keep one of the stumps for making a flower pot. These guys are quality all around. Highly recommend
