This has been our 2nd maintenance/service visit with KMI and we're so glad to have finally found them! Ethan was very knowledgeable and offered some great advice to us. It's nice to know we're covered!

We all know the sinking feeling that comes with having to get your home A/C repaired. Will it be repaired correctly and completely the first time?, how expensive will this repair be?, how long will I have to wait in discomfort before it’s repaired?, are they going to be true professionals or hacks like most of us experienced at some point.

I contacted KMI as a referral from a friend. First point of contact, great! Courteous and friendly and took the time to understand exactly what my expectations were. Scheduled for following afternoon. The next morning I received a call to ask if that could come earlier. Who wouldn’t appreciate that?

Technician arrived minutes later. He spent a few minutes discussing the history of problems I’ve had and he set off to start investigating. Side note: for twelve years I’ve had the same not cooling problem and each time different A/C companies me I have a very small leak and they can’t find it. So they recharge the system with refrigerant that costs several hundred dollars to a thousand dollars just to fill it from half empty. My home warranty, not covered… no defect found in a covered component, no coverage.

The KMI technician understood that nobody has found the leak since I built this home but he wanted a crack at it anyway. No exaggeration, he found it in less than 3 minutes. Even showed me precisely where it was leaking from. Estimate to repair? $3,000-$4,500! It is what it is I suppose…
But wait! The technician took note of the date of manufacture, got on the phone with them and now I have the defective part covered by the manufacturer. He didn’t have to do this and certainly would have made more if I came out of pocket for it, but this is what KMI is all about. Looking out for their customers.

I’m dropping my useless home warranty and if I ever need A/C repair again I’ll just call KMI and know with confidence that they have my best interest in mind and they will fix it right the first time!

KMI came out for our annual Heater Maintenance and they were amazing. They spent 3 hours here making sure everything was looked at along with measuring the temps in each room. I had a few questions and they were able to answer each and everyone of them. They even provided some suggestions which would help with my electricity bill. I truly appreciate their thoroughness.

Can’t say enough good things about KMI. We’ve been using them for our semi-annual maintenance and they are incredibly professional. The techs are top notch. Very friendly, respectful, and knowledgable. I recommend them to all of my neighbors and get great feedback on my recommendation every time they use them. I highly recommend KMI. Two thumbs up.

Trevor came out looked at everything. His termination that I was loose n Freon ok we replaced the part that was bad. I had a few other problems with my units he was supposed to have put in the order to have it fix as well that never happened. We was also talking about maybe purchasing new mini splits in my house he was supposed too call are email me with prices he never did a month later I called to let them know that my ecobee was going off and on he said sounds like it’s clogged up why didn’t they fix it when they was here. I had to call someone else out to put the proper pipe in so my water could drain correctly they didn’t even put a trap in for my blow out.. I would not use these people again… b 4 pics and new pics

I received a message to say they were on their way, giving me time to make sure I was ready for the service call to replace my a/c unit. Several guys showed up on time, some went to the outside unit and some went to the attic unit. They had scheduled 6 hours and were done in 4. That was a big plus. They were friendly, respectable of my floors and cleaned up before they left. I will definitely continue to use KMI A/C & Heating.

I want to give a wonderful review and shout out to the wonderful team at KMI who took care of my duct cleaning this week! This had not been done in many years and was long overdue! Also this is a huge project from my perspective and I did not know who to trust. I have used KMI for maintenance and repairs for many years so I chose to go with them. I’m so glad I did! George was so patient with my questions throughout this process! Austin, Levi and Kyle were OUTSTANDING doing the work and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Even when one unit was cleaned and then started making a whirring noise due to the increased air volume going through the grill, they worked tirelessly to correct this and get things back to normal for me. They were extremely conscientious working though the house — covering up furniture / decorations and then putting everything back in its place. They cleaned up meticulously each day before leaving and took extra time to address my questions and help me understand the process when I had concerns. It is SO RARE to find a company that takes such good care of their customers! Also Ashley is always so pleasant and responsive when I need to contact the office. KMI has a customer for life in me and I cannot recommend them more highly! I am so thankful for their work this week and everything they did to help me through this process! Thank you KMI team!!

They never tried to sell me anything I didn’t need and they were clean and courteous from start to finish. I love finding local businesses you can rely on and these guys are it! Highly recommend!

They have been out a few times this year to assist with warranty claims and have done an excellent job every time. Highly recommend this team.

My water heater in my attic started leaking. A flood through the ceiling plus no hot water, all while dealing with near freezing temps outside became my nightmare last night. I called so many plumbing companies and either got no response or they were not willing to make me a priority. 1st Choice HVAC and Plumbing not only sent out a technician immediately to help but provided me with pricing up front with no pressure or upselling! The technician was so professional and their office called me this morning, just to follow up with me. If you ever need HVAC or plumbing help, I’d definitely recommend contacting them!

I have a rental house in Sherman and was notified from the renter at 6pm that the a/c wasn't working. Called 1st Choice to assess the problem and they were able to go by at 7:30am the following day to determine that I needed a new unit outside. 1st Choice was able to go back the same day and replace the bad unit. What a quick turn around time. Very reliable. Great service. I will always call them 1st!
