Chimney Sweep reviews in Dallas, Texas

My wife and myself recently purchased a home in N Dallas. The inspection report confirmed the need of a chimney sweep service. I Google and came upon Nature's Way.
They identified with service call of a water leak based upon an outmoded chimney cap. It's important to note that we already knew about a leak but had not diagnosed where leak originated. Henry from Nature's quickly identified the leak which solved 2 problems for us, source of leak and the solution which was a new cap for the chimney.
Henry and Ryan performed the work. I found them to be professional in their approach and follow through. I also will add that they were respectfull as well.
Work was performed with pictures to show work completed.
I highly recommend their chummy services.

I am so extremely disappointed in this company, I’d give 0 stars if I could.
I signed an agreement in early 2018 for 1 year, for quarterly service pest control, they came out one time (and charged me twice!!) then never showed back up. After almost 8 months, they randomly show up at my door with ZERO notification.
I received an email 2 days ago (AFTER my contract has expired) stating that I had a service appointment scheduled for 4/18/19 between 3 PM-5 PM. No one ever attempted to call me ahead of time to make sure that this time window worked. I have emailed 3 times to cancel this with no response, and have called many more times than that but can never reach a human.
Don’t waste your time and money with this company...I recommend finding someone that’s more reliable and knows how to handle basic paperwork.

cleaning the chimney at the house has always been tasky, and i felt no one would do it better, until i was asked to hire a professional service.They took the Chimney Cleaning work to a new level with their positive attitude and professional behavior. And they are offering their service at a comparative price. In a sense they are doing a great job in cleaning industries.

The natures own team arrived slightly before their scheduled visit. They were courteous, knowledgable and had the appropriate tools to repair our chimney.

Competent, timely and courteous. I couldn't ask for more! Oh, they fixed out Lennox fireplace too!

At best a very poorly run company, at worst a total scam service!! STAY AWAY!!!

* Product ordered and installed was low quality and too small for the space.

* In the two - three hour windows that were scheduled, the original service requested was not Complete.

On October 18 I had an appointment scheduled to cleaning, inspect and get my Big Tex log set operational for a party scheduled on December 3. Additionally, I wanted a new log set installed in another room. Henry showed up at the end of the 3 hour window, did no work, but asked for a $400 check to reschedule and install a new log set and complete all the work on November 30. .

Scheduled at the next available appointment on November 30 knowing that there was still time to complete the work and get both fire places ready before my party. The appointment was to be the first in the morning at 8:00 am and was given a window between 8 and 11. The technician said he would be out first thing tro complete all repairs, clean and install a new log set. The appointment, scheduled from 8-11 am window, began at 11:30 when a new technician came out who had never seen the system and was surprised to discover that the first technician had done nothing. He proceeded to spend the next three hours installing the new log kit. As it turned out, it was a tiny 18 inch log set in a box that is 34" wide X 28" high X 30" deep. The first technician ordered this log set without my approval.

Although friendly, and willing to tell me of their annoyance with their colleagues, neither Technician completed the work to get my original log set back and running, nor did they clean out the firebox, inspect the chimney or refresh the original log set. Instead, wasted a total of 9 hours (2 x 3 hour windows for me to wait for work to be done and 1 x 3 hour window installing a log set). All this to get one fireplace working with a log set clearly too small for my fire box.

As it is, there will be no fire in the fireplace for the Christmas party, and I will need to search out a new log set that will fit the firebox I have.

Don't use this company!!

I would definitely recommend Nature's Own for any chimney repair, maintenance and/or cleaning needs. I had my fireplace and wood-burning stove inspected/cleaned. The technician, Henry, was incredibly helpful, worked fast & was knowledgable.

We were dealing with a really bad rat problem at one of our rental properties in Lake Dallas and on the verge of losing our tenants, so we contacted the folks at Nature's Own. The fireplace was infested. They came out to the rescue and removed all of them and found a massive hole that they were coming in from and sealed it off so we wouldn't be bothered again. Our tenants are now happy and rodent free and can use the fireplace if needed. Thank you for the great service.

I've been with this company for a few years now and I think it's time for me to pay them back with a review. These guys are great. They got the job done. They are just wonderful and I hope they can help you too!

I had a great experience with Nature's Own. We had them clean and inspect the chimney for the house we just purchased. Jason Davis was our guy and he was awesome! Very knowledgable and really courteous. Will use these guys again!

Dustin was on time and very efficient and professional. Most of all, and the reason for the review, he patiently and gladly answered ALL my questions. It was clear to me Dustin loves teaching about chimneys as much as I love teaching about Jesus. It is refreshing to find someone these days to be on time, do a good job, and love their work!

Ryan provided friendly, thorough, and professional service cleaning both chimneys in the home. He inspected the chimneys for damage. Seeing none, he efficiently went about the business of cleaning them. In addition, he made sure to protect the house from the mess that comes with this process. Couldn't be happier with the service. I will call Natures Own again when I need this again.

When I came to know that our Chimney need to be cleaned in a immediate manner, I called them, I mean I call Nature's Own. They came in time fully quipped. In a word I can described is, they are professional and highly efficient. I am happy with their service and will happily recommend to other.

Henry was fast and did an outstanding job. Came out fast and extremely friendly service all around. Asked several times if I had any questions. When he 1st came out I was sick and he asked me when he came back out if I was feeling better! He answered any questions I had and left no mess behind when he was finished with the job. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will have them back out to continue the service of my fireplace!

It had been years since I had my chimney inspected in my rental property in Dallas I was getting ready to put it back on the market when I realize it was way overdue luckily for me Natures Own chimney was extremely flexible and was able to make it out quickly to inspect and sweep the fireplace. We are extremely happy with the overall service thank you once again!

Great experience! Henry was so nice and explained exactly what was wrong with my fireplace and how to fix it if I wanted to fix it myself. I asked him to go ahead and make the repairs. Honest and quality work! Would recommend them to anyone & will definitely use them again.

I had never used the fireplace since we bought the house. When I scheduled with Nature's Own, Dustin Badger was very professional and thorough with chimney inspection. And he got our fireplace up and running in no time. Excellent service I would highly recommend.

I wish I could leave positive feedback for this business but the truth is that working with them has been my biggest headache in all of the renovations of my home.

I had a leaky chimney and called for them to come inspect it. The guy came and seemed professional but of course found far more needing repairs than just the leak. I was quoted about $800 for the repairs. When the repairmen came the cost was over $1400 (and they conveniently forgot to deduct the initial consultation fee as had been previously promised).

The next time it rained, the chimney continued to leak the same as always. I called for them to come back to inspect it and on the scheduled day they never showed up. I called that afternoon to see if they were behind schedule and was told someone was on the way. No one came.

I called again to once more try to schedule someone to come inspect the chimney and when he came he told me that the entire chimney topper (which they had supposedly repaired) needed to be replaced because it was sagging - something that should have been caught at the first inspection. Even more frustrating this means that the work they were paid for was unnecessary because that was the part I had called them about in the first place. Of course they do not offer this service.

I would highly recommend going elsewhere as I am having to do now. But if you are thinking about hiring this company (my first mistake), make sure that you get every detail about the quote in writing (my second mistake). They are about as trustworthy as a shady auto mechanic.
