sun kist pools sent me an invoice for services never rendered. when i called the company to ask them to waive the charges i got a lecture from a rude young man. he claimed he was trying to provide good customer service but what he actually did was dismiss his potential customer's concerns and implied that i was not a "fair and right" person.

I've used Sun-Kist Pools for pool maintenance and problems with filters or motors for over 10 years. They have always been very fair and courteous. Never had a problem of any kind with charges or their service.

I wouldn't recommend this company. We tried them out, seemed ok at first. Had to keep close tabs on company to make sure they were fully cleaning our pool and not cutting corners as they tried to do multiple times. The final nail in the coffin though was when I found out they weren't adding salt to our saltwater pool because they never had it in their system as being a saltwater pool even though it was something I had discussed with them often. They just kept adding chlorine tablets instead. This company will cut corners, and not property care for your pool.

Very bad customer service. Owner doesn't care. I would go elsewhere. They seem to be too busy chasing profits from pool repair & builds.

Sunkist Pool Service has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating companies I’ve ever dealt with. Not only did they provide sloppy, inconsistent service, but they actually damaged my pool in the process — something completely unacceptable from a so-called professional pool company. Even though I tried to keep up with the cleaning of my pool, I didn’t realize their lack of attention and the care they were taking or lack thereof. They were not servicing the pool with the proper chemicals and apparently only putting chlorine tablets in my equipment, which causes the water chemistry to be way off. There was copper in the water and very low alkalinity, high hardness, and high chlorine.

I called and fired them after having the pool check by someone else because of discoloration and blue stuff in the water and it was just clean the week prior by Sunkist.

What really pushed this experience over the edge was their attitude when I called to cancel. They were completely dismissive, didn’t apologize, didn’t ask what went wrong, and showed zero interest in keeping a customer or even understanding the damage they caused. That level of indifference says everything about how little they value the people paying them.

If you’re considering Sunkist Pool, save yourself the headache. Between the poor workmanship, the damage to my property, and the absolute lack of customer service, I would never recommend this company to anyone. They’ve earned every bit of this negative review. My husband canceled the service for a second home we have as well. His review is below mine.

Disappointed After the Merger – Poor Follow-Through and Communication

I had been with 5 Star Pools for over four years and was always satisfied until they merged with Sun-Kist Pool Service. Unfortunately, since that merger, the level of service has dropped dramatically. I started noticing missed cleanings, lack of updates, and poor communication.

Although the owner assured me early on that they would do better, the same issues continued for months. Reliable pool service means proactive communication and consistent care — neither of which I experienced.

When I finally canceled, I wasn’t even asked why — a clear sign of how disconnected they are from their customers.

Sun-Kist needs to prioritize follow-up, customer service, and professionalism if they want to earn back trust. I hope management takes this feedback to heart because the recurring complaints from other customers say it all.

I highly recommend Fiber Seal. They treated my white sofa when I first purchased it and I had them out to clean a red stain about 9 months later. They came out and carefully treated the stain and also left me with extra supplies in case I had other stains to treat. Very professional reps and knowledgeable about the fabric being treated and their products. Easy to schedule and great to work with.

I've had this service with FiberSeal for 2+ years and I can't say enough great things about it. They treated all of our rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture to protect from stains and dirt. The annual service is awesome and highly recommend it. It has saved us so much money in the long run from having to replace items because of spills and accidents!
