Lena Siara and her crew did a fabulous job on my front lawn. I submitted an inquiry online to which Lena responded promptly. She listened to what I was looking for, which plants I wanted to keep, etc. She quickly got to me a very reasonable estimate that included plant removal, mulching, new plants, labor, and a sprinkler audit, and then she sent me plant options that she thought would work best for my goal of replacing dead high maintenance plants with low maintenance yet hardy plants. Lena is incredibly knowledgeable - she could tell me what plant would/wouldn't work in a specific spot for numerous reasons. On the day of installation, she and her crew replaced tons of plants in my front yard quickly and efficiently, and the crew audited my sprinkler system. My yard looks brand new and so happy!! I appreciate that she takes pride in her work and took the time to explain how to care for the new plants (and sent me written instructions). Thanks Lena!!

Lena is great to work with…a real sweetheart. We had a huge project remodeling the pool in the backyard and a compressed timeline to get it done. Lena and her team worked around the obstacles and kept things moving. Plant selections-design is beautiful and we are very pleased with our beautiful landscaping. She also did a great job trimming trees and irrigation.

I have worked with Lena and her team for 2 years now, and they do excellent work. Lena has a great eye for design, and knows what will work well based of off the sunlight/shade and the amount of area that is being landscaped. We went through several design ideas, and Lena coached us along way. If we planted it ourselves... it would all be dead! ha! We did a complete redo of our front flower beds.
We have been looking for a landscape designer who could redo our front yard from large overpowering hedge bushes. They had to chainsaw then use a stump grinder. We love our new design.

I contracted with Siara Designs based on the positive reviews I read; however, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Lena, the owner, agreed to install a border consisting of two parallel rows of edging filled with river rocks between my property and my neighbor's. Her crew, who spoke no English, did not measure properly which resulted in a border edging that veered off center by more than 9 inches when measured from the side of the house. In addition, two of the edgings were cut asymmetrically on the thickness side and left a ragged appearance at one end adjacent to the sidewalk, while the other end near the gate was not similarly cut. Lena left in the middle of the project and did not return. I called, texted, and emailed her concerning the problems. After claiming that she was ill, she eventually agreed to look at the edgings. Instead and without informing me first, she sent a workman and texted me only after he had left my property. I found the edging still crooked, now with gopher-like tunnels from messy back-filling adjacent to the edgings. She refuses to acknowledge responsibility and fix the problems.

Lena and her team did a great job in our backyard! Lena was prompt and very professional in scheduling an estimate and walking through options for my vision. She was straightforward with costs and I felt the project was very reasonably priced for the scope of work. Her team was friendly and quick and they knocked everything out in maybe six hours (despite the rain). Lena also sent a follow up email with care instructions for all the plants, and even after both freezes this winter everything is still looking good. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Siara Designs for any landscaping needs!

Friendly and professional. Lena and her crew are hard workers and artist. They just completed the 3rd project for us. We love it. We are eager to use the new space this summer . So thankful for their help, quick response, reasonable quote and fast action!

One of our rentals had a flower bed that was overgrown.

We contacted Siara and was able to schedule a consultation quickly. We explained our needs and Lena (the owner) was very responsive to what we were looking for - a general clean up of the overgrown shrubs and some new plants for the bed.

The crew came out quickly and was able to get the job done in 2 days. They were able to complete the project ahead of schedule. The whole process was smooth and the team did a great job removing the old shrubs and planting new ones. I've attached the "before" and "after" photos below.

When we purchased our home 18 months ago, our courtyard area literally consisted of concrete and lava rock. I tried (unsuccessfully) to landscape it myself the first spring and knew I needed help. The first designer who came out sent an outrageous estimate (I could have purchased a new car for what she quoted!) and I decided to try to do it again myself. (Again, unsuccessfully) Then I read a review about Siara Designs and gave Lena a call. She came out for the initial meeting and I appreciated that she didn’t immediately try to tell me what I “should” do, or tell me what she had in mind. She listened when I told her the “look” I was going for and then walked me around the area and offered ideas and suggestions that fit the Zen/Meditation feel that I was hoping for.
She totally understood what I was trying to accomplish AND her estimate to complete the ENTIRE project – from soil to buying new planters and a garden statue - was so reasonable, my response was, “Where do I sign?”
Lena communicated with me about everything and even contacted me before spending a bit more than she had originally expected on a plant and wanted to make sure I was okay with that before moving forward. She and her crew arrived promptly and worked so hard (in blistering heat!) until the job was completed – way sooner than I anticipated.
She sent detailed instructions on how to take care of all the plantings and has continued to keep up with the project by asking how the plants are doing, etc. I’ve had a couple of questions and she responds promptly to my texts and never seems to be too busy for my questions.
If you’re thinking about doing ANY type of landscaping, please give Lena a chance to give you a quote! She is not only a talented and enthusiastic landscape designer, she’s a really great person who is a joy to meet.
