Read moreMy experience working with Austin at Otis Elevator has been extremely disappointing. Communication was by far the biggest issue. There were multiple occasions where weeks would go by without any response to calls, text messages, or follow-up requests. As a commercial real estate developer, timely communication is critical, and being unable to get even a basic status update created unnecessary delays and frustration. Even more concerning was the inaccurate information I received about my elevators. I was told that the elevators contained original equipment, when in reality the equipment had been replaced with new components only a few years earlier. Providing incorrect information about the condition and history of equipment undermines confidence in the recommendations being made and makes it difficult to make informed decisions. When you're relying on an elevator service company, you expect responsiveness, transparency, and accurate technical information. Unfortunately, my experience with Austin fell well short of those expectations. I hope Otis takes these concerns seriously and improves both communication and accountability.
Poor followup and they don't answer the service calls. They have declined over thelast 3 years now and wouldn't recommend.
I DO NOT recommend working with these people, they tell you everything is included in the price and suddenly it turns out it was not. Blueprints were charged separately by the owners brother (very expensive), when you requested the fire code regulations stamp, required by the fire marshal, it turns out it is a separate charge and again expensive. This has been a terrible experience, a total scam. Quality is not better than the experience.
