I had an amazing experience with Daniel. He was prompt, very professional and knowledgeable about the questions I asked. He gave me a lot of great options that I need to consider and didn’t try to push me one way or the other.

I will definitely be using this company again for my HVAC needs.

I joined their 2x/year maintenance plan. Daniel is very knowledgeable in his craft. Scheduling is easy and he showed up right on time. He checked the system out, cleaned the drain line, and made sure everything else was functioning correctly, proper levels, etc. Gave some advice to make sure problems don't occur, and didn't try to sell anything that isn't needed.

Will not hesitate to recommend them.

A/C stopped working overnight. I gave Daniel a text early in the morning and he said he would be out around 9am. He showed on time, quickly diagnosed that the blower motor was bad, and verified the part was still under manufacture warranty. He gave me the price for the service, and he went off to get the part immediately. He got the new part installed and running around noon, so maybe 3hrs in total. Unit is working great, and I’m very happy with the work performed.

I called Hills and Valleys for a clog in my AC today. They were able to come right out same day. The man that came out was very helpful and offered a lot a great advice on how to maintain my system. Was reasonably priced and honest. Would highly recommend for your AC needs.

Extremely quick, 3 min response time from initial call. (This was a convenience of free time and proximity to my home at the time, I wouldn’t always expect that). However, was welcomed expedience, and I got the impression from Daniel that they try to make their response times as quick as possible. Daniel was very knowledgeable, very professional, and worked pretty quickly to get issues resolved. It was also very welcomed that as he diagnosed the issues I was having, he requested permission to perform each task that I would be subsequently billed for, providing pricing up front so you would know ahead of time if it would work for your budget. They also offer a once a year or twice a year servicing in spring and fall to verify your systems are functioning properly prior to the heat of the summer or the cold of the winter. All in all, would highly recommend and have already done as such to family and friends in the area, and intend to continue to use Hills and Valleys services in the future.

I would like to say thank you for being able to see me on such short notice and were able to diagnose and restore my service.

Prompt, courteous, and helpful. While I'd prefer they provide a price before callout or before beginning work, their invoiced prices have always been fair.

On time, reasonable and most importantly... HONEST folks to work with. They back up their work with the word. I have used them for several year and they do not disappoint..

Two, no call no shows for scheduled appointments. I'm not sure if there has been a change at the top or what but the service and communication is the worst. Call Parobek instead.

Recently purchased our home and 5 days later the AC is leaking in the house. Called them and they came over promptly and fixed the issue. They were courteous and professional and I highly recommend them.

Our AC went out Sunday evening, the next day was forecast to be record breaking high temperatures. I put in a call leaving a message. First thing at 8am I received a call back. A very nice young man named Tate, came out checked the unit, found the problem right away, fixed it, just charged for a service call. I have used this company a few times over the years and I highly recommend them. Thank you Elgin Heating and Air, and especially thank you "Tate!"

Until recently, Elgin AC was always the people I would call if something was wrong with my AC because they almost always sent someone the same day and they have almost always fixed whatever was wrong (including installing a new unit when my old one caught fire).

If you want prompt service, I would recommend. I didn’t give them 5 stars for a few reasons:
1) They don’t respond well when you aren’t satisfied. They asked me to find a new service provider when my review wasn’t good. They never contacted me about the review or tried to address my concerns when I tried to contact them about them, simply stated, 7 months after my review was posted, “In the future, please contact another service provider. We prefer to work with people appreciative of our work.”
2) Sometimes they are a little slow invoicing (one call may result in an invoice within the week; other times it may be two or three months before you get an invoice).
3) They always charge a $95 service charge regardless of the reason for the call or how long it took. For instance, one weekday I noticed my AC making a lot of noise. Left a message and guy calls me back a bit later. I describe it to him, he says he thinks he knows what the problem is and is in the neighborhood, so he’ll swing by. Sure enough, less than 15 minutes later, he pulls in. He walks to my unit, and takes off the cover. I walk into living room to redirect my dogs and when I come back, he’s putting the cover back on and says it’s fixed. He holds up a small leaf and says it got caught in the blower (or motor or something). Says it happens all the time. He left within 10 minutes of arrival. And a few weeks later I got a bill for $95.00.

I can't say enough great things! I called on a Friday afternoon, received their voicemail. Left a message. They returned my call in maybe 5 minutes max! Were at my house in 10 max! Gone in 15 max! And my AC is working beautifully again and cost less than $100, for my particular issue. Extremely friendly and outgoing. I will never call anyone else.
