Absolutely blown away by my experience at Moon Valley Nurseries in Forney, TX! I've been dreaming of transforming my backyard into a private, shaded retreat, and walking into this nursery felt like stepping into an arboreal paradise. The sheer scale and meticulous organization of the grounds were incredibly impressive – row after row of healthy, mature trees and vibrant, flourishing shrubs. It's truly a sight to behold and offers an amazing selection.

I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities, but then I had the immense pleasure of meeting Anthony Nguyen, the General Manager. Anthony was nothing short of phenomenal. He listened patiently to my vision, asked insightful questions about my yard's conditions, and guided me through the perfect selections for shade trees and colorful accent shrubs. His knowledge was extensive, his advice was practical, and he made the entire process feel incredibly easy and exciting, not daunting. He even gave me valuable tips on planting and care to ensure my new additions thrive.

Thanks to Anthony's extreme helpfulness and the incredible quality of the plants, I left feeling confident and excited to create my dream landscape. This isn't just a nursery; it's a place where expertise meets exceptional inventory. I cannot recommend Moon Valley Nurseries, and especially Anthony Nguyen, highly enough.

This is why I'll be doing all my future landscaping business here!

Edit to add an update : the owner contacted my husband and apologized for the miscommunication with the manager and his crews. Each crew that has come out has been great and very professional. They clean up after themselves when their job has been completed. I appreciate the owner reaching out to us when the manager has yet to return my call. I don't recommend talking with Cole or Nakia at this location. If we decide to use MVN in the future we will only do business with the owner.

in an HOA and in early May we were told our tree needed to be replaced. On May 18 we visited MVN. We walked around and looked before we were greated by Nakia. We did not plan on purchasing anything that day, but she had Cole,the manager sit and talk with us. They sweet talked us and sold us on: tree removal, stump removal, tree replacement and warranty. The price we were given beat all the other quotes we had previously gotten. We paid $250 that day, which is what we were told we needed to put down to "get the job done and pick a date". (See photo #1 of our contract). We went with the first available date they had open, June 27 (see photo #2 of our contract). On May 26 we went in and put down another $1,000 and verified our date for June 27 was still good. We informed our HOA the date and showed them our contract so they would stop hounding us with letters and fines. We called on June 26 to verify that we would have a crew come out and we were told that our date had to be changed because we still had a balance, even though we had already discussed financing the remaining balance. My husband was informed that Nikia called him and left a voicemail, but she said "the phones were messing up that day" Surprise Surprise- no voicemail was left. No one bothered to try to reach out to us again. Why would we call to verify the date was still good if we got a voicemail saying our date changed?! My husband went and paid the remaining balance in person to keep us on the schedule for June 27 because he was taking a 1/2 day off work WITHOUT PAY to be at the house when the crews arrived. He was again reassured the crew would be out to the house between 11-3 to get the job done and if it did not happen to call them ASAP. Here we are the morning of June 27 and the crew showed up at 6:45am and I was informed that the work could not be done today because he was not aware that the tree and stump had to be removed. WHAT KIND OF COMMUNICATION ARE NAKIA AND COLE DOING WITH THEIR CREWS?! How would they not know that the tree and stump need to be removed?! IT'S LITERALLY IN THE CONTRACT IN BLACK AND WHITE!!! (See photo #3 & #4 of our contract). Now, we are being told that we are going to have to be "worked in" because they don't have crews to remove trees or stumps, and HOPEFULLY we can have our work completed by next week... I PAID TO PICK A DATE. WE ARE PAID IN FULL AND WE WERE ASSURED THIS WOULD BE DONE TODAY NUMEROUS TIMES and now we are being pushed back further. Communication is awful. Don't let these people sweet talk you into anything. We are out OVER $2,000 + half a day’s pay and were completely lied to. My contract states PAID IN FULL. JUNE 27, TREE REMOVAL, STUMP REMOVAL AND TREE REPLACEMENT. Now I can only hope to get the services completed that I paid for before June 30 since that is how far my HOA is willing to extend before I get fined!! I have called and asked to speak with Cole, the manager, and have been promised a return call today, but he seems to be too busy to speak with me and I haven't been given a confirmed date of when the services will be completed. I could have used this money towards medical bills that are piling up, but instead I am being put under more stress over a tree and my HOA. They are now closed and I was PROMISED TWICE that Cole would contact me BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY and I have yet to receive that call. No one has offered anything to make it right even after they admitted that there was miscommunication ON THEIR END.

Colby came to my home, helped put together a nice design to add some color and vibrance to my existing shrubs. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I look forward to enjoying my front yard landscape for years to come.

I needed to purchase an evergreen, creeping, flowering vine that would provide privacy. This beautiful plant nursery has well cared for plants grown outside in various stages of development. We were able to purchase three vines that were already five feet tall for the same price you would purchase a much smaller plant at Walmart or Home Depot.
They also have a beautiful selection of ceramic pots in a variety of sizes, many much larger than can be purchased elsewhere.
They also carry tropical palms as big as 25 feet or taller as well as oaks that are 35 years old!
If you want to purchase a more mature plant, this nursery has a wide variety to choose from that are absolutely beautiful!

Tyler Moore was awesome! I had an issue with aphids on my crape myrtles and he recommended the perfect product to solve my problem. Definitely recommend coming to Moon Valley Nurseries in Forney!

We had 18 trees planted and couldn’t be happier! Christian helped us along the way to pick what would be best. Couldn’t find magnolias we liked so he checked other Moon locations and got us what we wanted. Richard and his team came to plant even in the heavy rain! They came back a few days later to finish the work. Very pleased with the communication and work put in by these guys!

I just had the best experience at Moon Valley Nurseries. They gave me great advice for helping a struggling plant I have. They even gave me some Super Charged Moon Juice to help enrich the soil. I highly recommend this place!

I stopped by this nursery to check out the pricing and Colby was so helpful. He drove me around and explained the trees ages and pricing. He even went over the process of planting and helped me find someone to assist with my overgrown flowered.

My husband bought me a beautiful magnolia tree from Moon Valley Nurseries. They were so good to work with! They came out last week to check on it and fertilized it. Frantz Xantus and his crew are really knowledgeable and are helping us take care of our investment in the tree. It should be around for a very long time!

We are so grateful to Cole and Franz for helping us realize our dream. They were amazing at helping us pick the palms and made some great recommendations. The install crew was so wonderful as everything came together. Again, thank you to Moon Valley Nursury in Forney!

We got two teddy bear Magnolias from Moon Valley Nurseries in Forney, TX a few months ago and we couldn't be happier. The service was great, our salesman Christian took time to show the inventory and walked us through the financing process. He made super easy for us to pick the right trees for our front yard and provided great support post sale. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries.

We highly recommend Moon Valley Nurseries for your tree planting needs! They really have well taken and beautiful trees.... and they offer very professional service! Richard Ortega answered all my questions and explained how to take good care of my tree... Their staff is very friendly and they work hard to ensure you get great service....

Interesting quality plants and customer service. They will continue to give you plants that die within weeks and tell you to keep buying more. They don't like receiving bad reviews and will threaten if you want to leave a negative review about your experience.

Mr. Richard Ortega and team came out to deliver and install our new Crape Myrtle tree. First off, the tree is gorgeous! Mr. Richard was knowledgeable and kind. He explained everything that they were doing and gave me tips on how to maintain the tree. The crew, I didn’t catch their names, but they were all polite and efficient. They didn’t mess around, but got the job done. It took about 45 minutes to complete. They cleaned up after themselves and were on their way. I appreciate the service and should we need more trees or plants in the future, we will definitely be back.

This is an amazing nursery with amazing staff! Great communication at every phase! Mature plants so I can see the impact of my landscaping now, not in 5 years! We needed to break up the stark white back of our newest air b n b and the did an excellent job!! Before and after photos. The vines are star jasmine and will cover the fence soon!

I was having a hard time deciding whether or not I should go with tree for privacy in my backyard or a huge line of hedges to line my fence, but Anthony, man I couldn’t ask for help from someone more knowledgeable or passionate about these types of projects. This guys knew the answers to every question i had. I could not be more please with my experience! Definitely will recommend to everyone who needs landscaping done!

When I moved into my home, I wasn’t satisfied with the existing flowerbed and decided to remove all of the greenery. I later learned this was a violation of the HOA guidelines and needed assistance to correct it. That’s when I met Frantz during the HOA Spring Plant Sale event—and I’m so glad I did! Frantz was wonderful to work with. His communication was excellent, and he stayed true to his word throughout the entire process. He helped me create a beautiful flower yard that not only met HOA standards but also stayed within my budget. I highly recommend Frantz for any landscaping design needs.

Moon Valley has completely knocked it out of the park for us. The entire experience from walking through the front door and working with Christian to the incredible install has been amazing.

Update: MVP tech Christian Hall stop by yesterday to check on our trees and make sure we didn't have any problems or questions about how they were doing and told us how to care for them over the cold months. He was very knowledgeable and I appreciated all the information he provided. He also fed our trees or fertilized our trees while he was here and made sure we understood what to do before freeze. .They were very helpful when it came to picking out trees for our front yard and explained the benefits and drawbacks of each one that we were interested in. When they arrive for planting/ delivering the trees The crew was awesome and the communication was great. I would definitely use them again for my landscaping needs

We have been looking for Arizona Cypress to create a privacy screen and introduce new trees to our property. Colby, at Moon Valley Nurseries, provided helpful information. We made an appointment with Colby to see the trees to determine sizes and prices. The trees at the Nursery are beautiful. They grow all plants in planters to keep all roots in tack. This ensures the root system is not damaged as it would be if removing from the ground. The plant will acclimate more quickly and have a stronger start when planted with all roots being in tact.
We are under contract for delivery and planting and trees will arrive next week. The Nursery will dig by hand, condition soil, plant and guarantee the trees for one year, which includes checking on the trees during that first year. We are excited and will post photos after the job completion. Colby has been very helpful and resourceful through this process.
