I purchased an entire new unit from Metro Energy in May 2019. Within 2 years the capacitor went bad. I paid for it not realizing it was a part that was under warranty. In Feb 2022 the heat went out. They came and said my unit was dirty and tried to sell me filters and a 3k cleaning system. Two days later the heat went out again. They came back out and repaired it. They performed maintenance on the unit late March 2022, still trying to sell me their filters and cleaning system. Fast forward to this month and the heat goes out again. This time the motor is blown. Their only reasoning each time they have to come out is that my filter is dirty and cause the unit to clog. I change my filters like clockwork every 30 days using the reminder on the thermostat. I googled dirty filters and my filter that has been in the unit for 20 days looks nothing like the filthy filters pictured. Even though the motor was under warranty, I got hit with a labor charge of over $400 for less than an hours work. When I called to speak to someone about the price of labor, I was told I would get a call back from a manager but that has not happened. From the reviews that I have read other customers have purchased new systems around the same time that I did and their units are breaking down every few months as well. It looks as if the product is subpar or we were not given new units that we were told we were getting. I used Metro Energy for over 15 years but now that I know I can use the manufacturer's authorized dealers, I will be finding a new HVAC company to service my unit because there is no reason for a brand new unit 3 years old to be having problems every 6 months and they are constantly blaming it on the filters while trying to sell their additional products. Something needs to be done regarding these bad units. #classaction

Company Was supposed to have somebody come at noon on Thursday, they no-showed, didn't call, I had to call and find out where they were. Rescheduled it for Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. I called at 930 to confirm and they didn't even have it down. Howevee, they sent out a guy Thursday afternoon that I didn't schedule to come out for a completely different reason. Only reason for the two stars I stead of one is because he didn't charge for that visit. Company has major scheduling issues it seems.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They didn't show up for two scheduled appointments, over charged us. Signed us up for a membership they never said anything about and isn't even in explained in the invoice we signed. They then put in the paperwork that our A/C had additional problems which they never told us about and we had to bug them to even send us our paperwork after they were done. This is a huge scam and awful company!!

This place is a scam. They charge us $500 for diagnosis and fixed nothing. They also run under another name called Sparks Electric. Do not hire them for anything - all they do is scam your money.

EDIT: Manager was able to reach out (google had them as spam and didn't put them through) and resolved most of my concerns about my total repair. Do make sure to read the quote in case the technician forgets anything, I wasn't told about a membership so I had to have that cancelled.

My first repair was for a valve replacement and the repair went smooth.

The second was for a leak due to corrosion. During the second repair, they missed their window TWICE leaving us with a newborn and no AC for 3 extra days in an 82 degree house. We had to cancel our weekend plans and got very little sleep.

I had an amazing experience with Freddie our Ac technician. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the system, clearly explain the issue, and walk me through the solution before starting any work.
