They came out and we expected to be told we would need a new system - but they said it was a relatively inexpensive fix. I highly recommend them. They have never tried to overcharge.

UPDATE 052924: SouthCoast Heat & Air continues to perform great maintenance on our A/C system purchased from them in May/Jun 2022. Daniel, their Tech., consistently provides awesome attention to detail when checking out the Air Handler and Compressor Condenser Unit! Fogging the duct work and tweaking the air scrubber, ultraviolet lamp, fresh air make-up!

SouthCoast Heat & Air combines the best of family-owned small business concern for their customers with great service. They really strive to make sure you know exactly what is going on with your ac unit and give you options to get it working and in top shape. I deeply appreciate a company that takes my concerns and needs into account.

Had a lot of issues with the inspection/communication portion of the experience. Tried to sell us the incorrect sized unit along with adding fees that were not necessary. When we reached out to let the manager know how unhappy/unsatisfied we were with the experience we got a half hearted apology with no effort to keep our business. Having a family member refer this company to us, I made sure to let our family know about our experience. They too will be exploring other more reliable companies. I wouldn’t even give them one star if that was an option. Please take your business to a company that values its clients with a higher level or respect. You won’t find that here.

The AC in our townhome stopped working. I contacted SouthCoast Heat & Air. They were able to schedule a tech to troubleshoot the problem the same day. It turned out to be a faulty capacitor on the compressor. The capacitor was replaced and the system returned to normal. I appreciate their quick response and excellent troubleshooting skills on HVAC systems. I have used their services several times at different locations and have found it to be excellent and relaible.

Great service, the HVAC technician Alex answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable of his trade, he simply did a routine tune up on my ac system and tested components. I'm very satisfied with this service and feel better with summer approaching fast.

Alex was amazing. So kind and patient with me. He did an excellent job and would love for him to service us for our next appointment.

He was very clear with explanation for being proactive for the problem.

    Thank you Alex!

Alex was great! Informative and knowledgeable. I've had air conditioning problems for 2 years (new home). The original air conditioner company was very bad. Alex saved me money and fixed the problem.

I had two brand new air conditioners installed by this company. One and a half years in they are looking to charge me $1,000 for a failed part. They said the part is covered by the manufacturer warranty but the labor and the refrigerant is not. The average cost with some google suggests the replacement for a TXV should cost between $185 to $750.

Not only are they not standing by their work, they are looking to make a quick buck even after collecting upwards of $20k from me for my air conditioners.

I regret ever letting this company do new units in my home. Clearly they do not stand by their work.

Once again SouthCoast provided superior service! I have called on them for 3 different homes /people and each one received the highest quality possible. They are quick to respond and explain the service required in terms I can understand. And, they provide pictures when helpful to their customer. Courtesy is consistent regardless of who you speak with. SouthCoast is the best HVAC company we have ever used, hands down. :)

My first warranty call and the company was very accommodating and quick. They showed up that day, fixed the problem in an hour and did an extra system's check to make sure everything else was fine. This encourages me to go back to them when I'm ready to replace my other system.

Detail oriented and focused on pleasing the customer. Had a compressor stop working and the tech was friendly and courteous. Price was reasonable, ended up just needing a minor part. No hassle and tech didn’t try to sell a new system. I’ve had issues with that in the past when the system is only 5 years old. Highly recommend.

Get a second opinion before you trust what they quote you.
Since you added let me add: the second person who came out and actually fixed our ac mentioned that your techs weren’t even servicing our ac correctly. And regardless of warranty or not, you were overcharging.
You were told at a previous visit and should have noted it in the profile, also your tech should've asked. We didnt even have to ask our new company; they just knew what they were supposed to do and did it. We have a warranty agreement through South Coast Heat & Air covering both labor and parts for 10 years via RUUD. We will be reaching out to RUUD in regards to being charged for labor in violation of the warranty agreement.
