Our AC went out over the weekend we called on Saturday and were told it would be passed along but never heard back. I used the schedule an appointment tab on the website to schedule an appointment for 9am on Monday and nothing we didn't even hear from them until after 10am. The technician finally made it out about 5:30pm Monday and discovered we had a leaky coil and they were going to have to see if they part was in stock and would let us know on Tuesday. My husband called around 12:30 on Tuesday and was told they would check and call back but didn't call back until around 5:00 to tell us the part has been ordered and should be in Wednesday or Thursday only after I sent them messages to at least call and let us know what was going on. It has a completely frustrating experience all around.

John was a excellent repair man. Explain everything about what he was going to do and soon had the central running. He also clean the area he was working.

Balde was very professional and explained what was occurring as to why our fridge was not producing ice and getting frozen. He was quick and straight to the point!

Our microwave went out. Needed part ordered. We had to call to set up a follow up apt. to get them to get it fixed. We use our microwave 10 times a day so you can see how much we need it and miss it. They came and determined the problem on Nov. 14 was when they came to determine the service it requires. That's 19 days ago. We called today to follow up on where the part is. All of a sudden they have the part and can fit us in tomorrow to put it in. Very bad service when customer has to make a call to get a solution. Not happy!!

The team here helped me out on multiple occasions when I returned from vacation and discovered that my home air conditioning unit wasn't working properly. They were able to get a technician out the same day to sort out the initial problem, and they were able to follow up quickly after that to get me scheduled quickly once the required new parts had arrived. Pedro/Peter, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions and did a great job. I highly recommend the team at American AC & Heating.

Service went well, young man was on time and was courteous. Only down side waiting 4-5 days for parts. Company was able to apply my Military discount too.

I appreciate the fact that you sent Miguel out to the house a second time to look at the dryer at no charge. But the fact remains that it's still not working right. We left the clothes in on high heat for an hour and they still came out wet. We've decided to purchase a new unit. Thank you for your time. Eric

The parts for my microwave/oven finally arrived and the repair techs showed up when they said they would and completed the repair in 30 min. From the time they diagnosed they problem and completed the repair they showed nothing but professionalism. I highly recommend these guys for your appliance repairs. The length of time to get the needed parts was not on them. It was due partly because of the bad weather. These guys are not only good but courteous and professional. Very professional and courteous personnel. Starting from my initial phone call and throughout the diagnosing and installation process. Jessica scheduled the appointment Milton conducted the diagnostics the same day and listened to my very long winded explanation of what was going on. When the installers Enrique and Arturo came they explained to me the very extensive and expensive repair if I wanted to have the copper lines in the same position. Then they offered me a more reasonable and affordable option. Having done AC work when I was younger they put up with my ramblings of yesteryear. The price we were charged was fair and the extensive work was completed in less that 8 hours.

Pete was our maintenance guy. He was very knowledgeable about the issue we were having and repaired it right away at no cost. It has been 6 months since we’ve installed our new AC units and foam insulation, and our electricity bill has never been as low as it has been now. We are extremely satisfied with the customer service we’ve received. They are always available to assist us. Thank you!

Pedro & Milton were very professional and courteous. They explained all the work that was done in a way we could understand. Made sure everything was running correctly before leaving. They stayed until we were satisfied. Very happy with the service they provided. All work done was under warranty.

I had a “new” HVAC system installed at my house through American AC. Because I worked with them previously, I was offered employee pricing. At first, I was grateful. But in the end, I feel completely ripped off.

I purchased a 16 SEER unit that was supposed to come with a 3-year labor warranty. Instead, they only gave me 1 year. From the start, the system had issues. Most notably, a horrible sewage smell throughout my home. I called them several times, they came out, but the problem was never fixed. The smell eventually went away on its own, and I doubt it was because of their work.

A little over a year later (conveniently after the warranty they “decided” to give me expired), the system stopped cooling properly. It would still run, but barely cooled the house. American AC quoted me around $1,600 to repair it and even wanted to charge me for Freon when the AC didn’t even need it. I called another AC company instead. That company told me the part that failed was under the manufacturer’s 10-year warranty (NOT American AC’s). They replaced it, charged me $500 total for their labor, which still feels expensive but not $1,600 expensive, and now my AC runs colder and better than it ever did with American AC’s installation.

Here’s the kicker: the part American AC originally installed (shown in the pictures I’ve attached) was inspected by both the independent repair tech and another HVAC technician I personally know. Both confirmed the same thing: the part looked used or of very poor quality and definitely wasn’t just a year old. In other words, American AC put a bad component into my “new” system from day one.

When I did reach out to them, their response showed zero accountability or willingness to help. Instead they seemed motivated to make some money. They didn’t seem to care. And if they can treat a former employee this way, imagine how they treat their regular customers.

I’ve moved on, but I want others to be aware: be very cautious with American AC. They’ll take your money, give you less than what they promised, and when problems come up, they’ll leave you hanging.

We had a bad experience with this company, very low quality work done, not professional at all like they claim to be. This guys literally went to the local Dollar Store to buy an extension to connect it to the mini split to make it reach the power outlet. All mini splits were set up all un leveled. Bad work done! I went ahead and paid a cancellation fee of $1,250 on my contract so they could take it all down. We had a great experience with the financing guy he was super nice, but I can’t say the same about the business.
