I cannot express enough gratitude to Trevis Sundgren at Texas General Contractors for his professionalism and compassion during a difficult time. After my mother passed away in February 2024, I was faced with the task of restoring the bathroom where she passed and addressing water damage in two other areas of her home. Living 2,300 miles away in Spokane, WA, I was worried about how I could manage the project from such a distance. Trevis immediately put my mind at ease.

Trevis went above and beyond to keep me informed, staying in constant communication every step of the way. I was so impressed with Texas General Contractors. My home had water damage from the January 16, 2024 freeze. They came out quickly. Home was completely dried out and wet damaged materials removed. Repairs started soon after. All workman were very professional and super competent. I highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend these guys!! After the storm ripped off my roof my insurance company sent texas general contractors to assess the damage. Not only did they show up same day even though they were already swamped, they got someone SAME DAY to tarp up my roof so no further damage would ensue! I cant thank you enough for your service and quick responses as well as keeping constant communication. Blake Jones was assigned to my call and this man made my home livable by sending any and all available contractors to fix the most vital utilities we needed to stay in our home while my insurance does its thing. Blake you are a life saver and on behalf of my family of 5 we whole heartedly thank you for taking care of business!!

We had a pipe break and Texas general contractors worked so amazing with us and our insurance to make sure that we got everything remediated and repaired quickly. Trevis, our project manager, was amazing. He was very communicative and let us know what was going on always. If we needed a solution, he would find one. We will definitely use them again in the future should we have any needs.

Our experience with Texas General Contractors and the work they completed for us was 5-stars. We had significant damage to our property from the derecho that hit Houston in 2024 and we were getting bombarded by contractors that could "help us" out. TGC's professionalism was distinctive from our first meeting and it was clear they had significant experience with our type of situation and understood the steps of the process and the necessary coordination with our insurance company. They were responsive throughout the process and the work they completed was equally professional with no issues whatsoever that you hear of having to chase contractors down to complete the job or get return calls. We were most impressed with their attention to detail and organization on the jobsite and paticulalry so with the cleanliness of the worksite they maintained. We would highly recommend TGC to others experiencing an emergency clean/up construction situation and, as well, I am sure by their approach they would be equally good in other remodeling and construction projects they take on.

It was really stressful and devastating when my property got water damage. Thankfully our insurance sent Kevin’s team for the big restoration. He has been very helpful and kept me promptly informed all the time during the whole restoration process. Thank you, Kevin! You have made this very difficult process much easier for me!

Our home suffered significant damage from Hurricane Beryl. I contacted TGC, ServPro, and other companies and said, "whoever gets here first to tarp my busted roof gets the rebuild job!" TGC came out quickly, tarped the roof, and set up water mediation measures inside the home. They got started with the roof rebuild, drywall and carpet replacement, and fence repairs. My Project Manager Kevin was amazing from start to finish, dealing with our insurance company and making sure my family and I were taken care of by his subcontractors (the subs were great, too). I hope I never have to deal with another disastrous insurance claim and construction project, but if I do, I'll call TGC first.

Texas General Contractors helped me with an insurance related water loss in my house. Involved replacing all floors, baseboards and toe kicks on the cabinets. They were very quick in response and got the house looking better than it did before the water loss.
Kevin, the project lead, was keeping me updated the entire time and was there for anything we needed.

I would highly recommend TGC. In this industry it’s hard to find those who operate with integrity and honesty. Grateful to have Alex and his team as resource when things don’t go as planned.

Texas General Contractors did an excellent job repairing my water damaged walls and floor. At my request, they replaced carpet with vinyl, and it looks just like a real wood floor. I highly recommend this company that is a local business in Houston TX.

We relied on Texas General Contractors after an unfortunate pipe leak damaged our kitchen. Our experience with the original water damage mitigation company we hired was unfortunate and we called Texas General to get a second opinion after the original company failed to get the job done. My wife and I appreciated how patient Toby was with us and how thoughtful he was in how he approached resolving the issue. Because of our good experience with Toby and Alex, we chose to continue to use Texas General for the general contractor work, which included repairing the kitchen and a remodel of our dining room. Kevin was our project manager and we enjoyed working with him. We also liked the subcontractors they chose and Kevin did a good job keeping us up to date with everything. We are very happy with the end result of what was a pretty painful process overall.

This group just finished redoing a portion of my kitchen ceiling and my dining room ceiling and wall. I can’t say enough good about how they performed. Each crew was professional. Texas General Contractors just finished work on our home in the Woodlands, Texas. We had extensive water damage on our wood floors due to a toilet overflowing. Once the floors were dry, TCG repaired baseboards, quarter round, kick-boards in our kitchen painted the walls and replaced padding under some of the carpet and restreched the carpet . TGC was timely and did a great job. I highly recommended them and would use them again.

I've had two experiences with Texas General and both have been outstanding. Communication is amazing, always keeping us up to date. The workers are very skilled, courteous and accommodating. In both cases the results were outstanding.

Working with Alex and his team was such a great decision. I had no idea how hard insurance can make it to get them to pay for things, Texas General Contractors stepped in and advocated for us. I heard our agent say to them that they never see contractors be so thorough and it really helped them be able to give us the maximum payment/ coverage for our repairs. Super fast workers who think of the details and clean up like they were never there when they’re done. Our home is fixed and looks great!

Texas General Contractors has been incredible in responding to the issue, maintaining clear lines of communication and working with me and my schedule. Edgar and his team came in immediately to help with the flood mitigation and continued to check in during the holiday period on the status of the home drying out to make it livable again and ready for the next steps. Quan worked directly with my insurance adjuster to ensure that all the damage was noted and helped me understand the process. Finally, Kevin was my remodel project manager and he and his team truly went above and beyond - helping me be back in my home prior to Christmas and continuing to address issues that popped up along the way.

No one ever wants to deal with unexpected housing damage - working with Texas General Contractors has alleviated the stress and discomfort that comes with this process. If I ever have future damage (fingers crossed that this isn't the case), I will definitely be reaching out to them.
